Dr. Jay is funny and personable and he makes you WORK! I feel 100% more confident with my BLS skills. I have had many other CPR classes and they were no where near as in depth as this one, in other classes the teacher often looked disinterested, basically didn't even practice compressions, or show us how to properly use the AED or they would just give a brief review and sign us off. I am so glad I did not renew my BLS with these previous guys again! This is NOT the case in Dr. Jay's class. He actually makes you practice till you get the technique right, he made my confidence grow, I learned the AED how to use it correctly, CPR when to do it when not, different scenarios that might happen, I learned how to help an adult, kid, and infant pt who might be choking. It was great and I will be returning for my ACLS and PALS and any further BLS !

I did the HHA and CNA course with them because it was closer to my house. It was going smoothly since i received my classes normally, (You don't really get to touch the mannequin at all, they tend just to show you) until test week came. I paid everything, they already had my money so they didn't care about me passing or not. I asked to pay for review classes, they told me the teacher was in vacation or something like that,(i had called the week prior to know if i could get the review classes the test week and they said yes) they told me the days i could "practice for free" were full. The literally left me with no choice other than look up for other place IN THE WEEK THAT I MOST NEEDED TO PRACTICE... i went to another school and they taught me IN 2 DAYS what I didn't learn in that school in the 2 weeks and a half i was there. I also realized in the other school that this place taught me some things WRONG that would have failed me on my test. If my experience can help somebody PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL FOR PASSING THE CNA TEST PURPOSE YOU WILL MOST LIKELY FAIL. Pagué todo, ya tenían mi dinero, así que no les importaba que pasara o no. Pedí pagar las clases de revisión, me dijeron que la maestra estaba de vacaciones o algo así (había llamado la semana anterior para saber si podía ir a las clases de revisión la semana del examen y me dijeron que sí) me dijeron también que los días que se suponía podría "practicar gratis" estaban llenos. Literalmente no me dejó otra opción que buscar otro lugar EN LA SEMANA QUE MÁS NECESITABA PRACTICAR ... Fui a otra escuela y me enseñaron EN 2 DÍAS lo que no aprendí en esa escuela en el 2 semanas y media estuve allí. También me di cuenta en la otra escuela que este lugar me enseñó algunas cosas ERRÓNEAS que me habrían fallado en mi examen. The place is far if you live in north Dade County. I thought I was on my way to the Keys, LOLLLL. However, it is WORTH the drive! John was our instructor for the BLS/ACLS skills and he is the TRUTH!! A wealth of knowledge and he makes you feel comfortable and confident in your knowledge and skills. So, I am unsure if you have a choice to pick your instructor. If you do, you can't go wrong with John. This place is clean and plenty of room to practice your skills. It was only 4 people in my class. So, I can appreciate the small class size because it allows you ample time to review, asks questions, and practice your skills. I cannot recommend this place enough! Clean facility and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Once you complete your skills and testing, they will offer to print your card(s); if you would like. Frustrated after trying to find medical supplies that were no where to be found in the larger chain…read morepharmacies,I turned to yelp and googled "Best Medical Supply Stores in Miami". The answer, in seconds, provided me a list of ten. I selected a location and headed out. Finding it was fairly easy, in a strip mall with plenty of parking. Not only did they have exactly what I needed, the prices were fair and the service....fabulous! I was assisted by the owner Tina. She was patient, friendly and knowledgeable. She truly went above and beyond and made me feel like a valued customer. A well deserved full five stars.

I'm the type of person that is lured in by great customer service, something this store SEVERELY lacks. What attracts customers are not your products!!! But your accommodation, adaptability, and overall inviting character. I've only had a bad encounter with a woman who seems to be the owner. A young man there and another young lady have mostly assisted me but after my encounter with the owner? I was convinced to never come again. I can honestly say that I've walked out of every one before this one not knowing WHAT I would do in an actual emergency situation except maybe have a heart attack myself. I went in with emails to read etc expecting a DVD led class and a half-asleep instructor who hands out a written test at the end that an average 12-year-old could pass. This was different than any class I've ever attended. I was glued to the instructor, Luis, the entire way through. He put the information in familiar terms and situations that you WILL remember in a life and death situation. I never realized how easy the concepts were and that even I could be instrumental in saving someone's life in an emergency situation until now. I am so thankful for the amount of effort and strategy Luis put I to this recertification class. I will never think of taking another one again anywhere else. The difference is unmeasurable, I can't believe other courses are allowed to keep teaching the same mundane way when there are classes like this available. I got home today and practiced what I learned some more, fully confident I would be able to handle a real life situation if god forbid it ever arises! I graduated EMT from ama. I started Paramedics program and didn't finish the program which is on…read moreme. The instructors are good, and helpful. You do need to invest a lot of you're own time. As far as the office that's where my problem is. Paramedics program is split into 2 terms academically. If you don't make it past midterms, you have to start with a new class which is fair. As far as financially the school splits there terms into 3. So if you start term 2 and don't complete it, you owe the school for all of the term 2. So I am a veteran and my benefits pay for what I attended. The school is now saying I owe them which in my opinion the school is stealing from veterans. There's my problem the school never explained that in full detail. That's why I wouldn't recommend the school to veterans.

To be clear, not the teachers or the administrative staff, but by the person who mainly runs the school. If you've been here, you know who they are. Anytime a student comes in asking a question, as soon as they leave he immediately starts saying how dumb they are and that they're a liar. He never takes any responsibility for his actions or lack thereof. Always places the blame on students, teachers, or other members of the staff. Expect to be given work without knowing what or how to do it. Ask any former student, if you do your research you'll soon find out what a mess this school really is. He has no respect for the students that give him money to live off of.
