I was looking for a Handyman as I had someone who basically left in the middle of a job and took my money. I found this company and they were able to very quickly go out look at the issue and take care of it at such a reasonable price. I am so happy with the work done. They are going to be my go to handyman company from now on!!

Initially, we were going to go the TAKL route but it was tough to price with a single provider on the app. Having had previous success with Yelp, we decided to use that to search for handyman services. We saw several with mixed reviews then saw Al's with 5-stars. I was hesitant at first given there were only six reviews at the time. However, after reading each one, and realizing that Al was a hands-on business owner, we decided it wouldn't hurt to get a quote. Al responded to the request very quickly and showed up on time. After I showed him all the work that needed to be done, I asked whether he happened to know how to program a garage door keypad. Without any hesitation, he read the instructions on the keypad, flipped the garage light assembly where the switch to program was and helped me figure it out. Turns out the battery on the keypad just needed to be replaced. He even left me a little screw driver so I could open the battery compartment once I got the 9v battery I needed. He did all this "gratis"! While I had originally planned to get more quotes, this small act of kindness demonstrated Al's commitment to customer service, which is unfortunately rare to find these days. Additionally, I told Al that we neither had the tools nor supplies needed to do all the hanging and installation work and he said he would take care of getting them. As such, we decided to move forward and scheduled him for the work. As expected, Al showed up on time yesterday, got the job done quickly and well. He accepts payment via Zelle which was a big plus. My sister was quite pleased with his work and has asked Al for another quote do screen replacement for her back patio. So here's the short version of my review. If you need work done around your house, call Al -- you will definitely be happy you did. Glad we found you Al! If I or my family and friends ever need work done, we now have someone we can trust will get it done fast and done well! Thanks!!!

In late November, 2016, I contracted Roger at "The Grove Handyman" on Angie's List to have a…read morebathroom wall repaired following a leak in the pipes. I was quoted a good price and the appointment was arranged. The property is a unit I was preparing to rent and I was out of town, so a friend let the workers in. They were instructed to call him so he could view the work before they left. The worker called me and said the work was done. He sent me a picture after he left and after he returned the keys. He took the bathroom hardware off the wall for the repair and failed to put it back on. I contacted Roger and he informed me that the pipe for the faucet was too short. I don't know why the worker would tell me "it's all done," when it obviously wasn't. Roger said he would have to send someone else out on another day and he would have to charge me a callout fee - to complete the work his staff failed to finish. As I had a tenant moving in the next week, I had no choice. On the second appointment, a different worker said "it's all done," but he is the one person in North America with a cell phone that doesn't take photos. Roger's tone via text message after both visits was not an example of excellent customer service. He did not offer any assurance that everything was as it should be or apologize that his staff failed to complete the work properly the first time. In April, 2017, my tenant contacted the property manager to inform him that the faucet had become completely detached from the wall and pipe. The property manager left a voicemail for Roger, but he never called back. I called the next day and my call went to voicemail as well. The greeting stated that Roger would be out of town from the following day. Unfortunately, before he went out of town, he never returned my or the property manager's call. We had to hire another contractor to fix the inadequate work done by the Grove Handyman staff. I emailed Roger and explained the situation and provided him with a copy of the charges incurred to fix the faucet again as well as a photo. Roger refused to compensate me because he thought the charge of $260 was too high and because he didn't see it himself. This entire situation has been completely unacceptable. The original job was not completed. I was charged additional fees to complete the job on a second visit. The work performed was not done correctly and only lasted 4 months. And I was not compensated or refunded for having to hire another company. I strongly advise against hiring "The Grove Handyman" for any work. The company is a typical South Florida contractor that does shoddy work, doesn't communicate properly and doesn't stand behind their work.

This SGD project was Planned to take 4 months! Saul stayed in touch with me weekly and did not "Run" with my 50% Deposit! I was extremely Grateful for his communication. Two months later, I chose to Cancel My Impact SGD with PRESTO Windows due to the many Permitting Errors made by Owner, Kyle Presto. After I made that decision, I called Saul to Start Immediately and HE DID! He Rearranged His Schedule and Fit me in immediately! He cleaned my Balcony and Railing Post Pockets. He filled in the Post Pockets with Hydraulic Cement, Waterproofed My Balcony with Tremco Vulkem 350NF R; Saul applied TWO coats. I PASSED the Waterproofing INSPECTION with the INSPECTOR, Stanly Nathan, saying, "It Looks Beautiful." This waterproofing Process took two weeks as It Rained three days in a row in the afternoon and the Hydraulic Cement needed to be 100% dry before the Vulkem 350NF R could be applied. I AM FOREVER GRATEFUL that SAUL was HONEST, and didn't Run with my 50% Deposit after I postponed His start date! He was in constant communication with me, and always answered the phone!
