Both employees were rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. What made the situation even more frustrating was watching them allow another individual to walk in who was more than 30 minutes late for their scheduled appointment. I explained that I simply had a question regarding my license and needed guidance on what I should do next. Instead of attempting to assist me or even directing me to the appropriate resource, I was told that they were "about to close." I arrived before the posted closing time of 5:00 PM. If the office is open until 5:00 PM, I do not believe it is appropriate to turn someone away simply because closing time is approaching--especially when the person is only asking for information. I completely understand that certain DMV services may require appointments. However, there is a professional and respectful way to communicate that to the public. A simple explanation or a few minutes of assistance would have been more than enough. The way I was spoken to and dismissed was unnecessary and unacceptable for employees whose positions involve assisting the public. I hope this concern is addressed so that other customers are treated with greater professionalism and courtesy in the future.
