My lessons were always planned out and he always made sure I was aware of my abilities on the road as well as other drivers. I found his teaching methods very easy to follow and I can understand why he is a grade 5 instructor because he is very obviously passionate about his job and enjoys teaching and not only did I feel like the lessons were structured individually for me but he taught me how to drive safely. When I was learning to drive I learned with Mike from JEM driving. I had taken lesson before with…read moreother instructors and always found it fairly difficult to pick it up. I always felt anxious and nervous when learning. When I was taught by JEM driving all that was put to rest. Mile has a very calming influence and even when I did make errors he taking me why they were errors as apposed to shooting and panicking me more. I don't think I would be driving now it I hadn't picked such a good teacher. I have recommended Mike to lots of my friends because I am sure they will pass first time with Mike as I did. She is calm & collected, vastly knowledgeable, very patient when needed, communicates wonderfully and is seriously just a pleasure to go through this experience with. We only had one lesson before COVID-19 hit, so had to taker a break until we were able to continue with safety precautions. Unlike many other drivers and instructors we saw on our lessons, Ruby wore a mask for the entirety of each lesson, and in between lessons, too. I wore a mask for lessons, and was provided with fresh gloves each time. I passed first time thanks to Ruby, and can honestly say I feel ready to drive independently with confidence! Thanks Ruby, I'm going to miss our Tuesdays!
