As an expat living in Britain, I have to retest to get a UK license. I've been driving for 17 years, however, and only needed a couple refresher courses. Martin Woodward was VERY quick to take my money on the first ride, but when they learned that I wasn't going to spend hundreds of pounds in weekly lessons for a few months, they decided to cut me off they won't provide a car for my wife or I to ride in for our tests, and they claim that they aren't making enough money off of me, or something along those lines, despite us having to pay £24/hr because we're not new learners and so don't qualify for their discounted rate that is advertised everywhere.
Be prepared if you deal with them as an expat, they're going to treat you like crap. If, however, you're a new driver, they'll treat you well, as long as you intend to spend tons of money with them.
I will never recommend them to anyone based on my experience with them. read more
