I have a problem with paying 4x the cost for food that can be found elsewhere in the city; THIS IS NOT THAT! MI VIDA, started with the crab and shrimp guacamole! Most balanced presentation and flavors we ever had and the home made chips; summers! The birria quesadilla was yummy on its own, the consumme was watery and not very flavorful but surprisingly not required to be in attendance anyways! Next was the fajitas, a little steep for a hot sizzling n plate but did not disappoint! Chicken breast marinated and grilled like barbie on the beach drenched in flavor! We got the mixed version with shrimp, I was sad to see only 3 shrimp came i kinda expected at least three but they were the best damn shrimp I had in a while so redemption for quantity! The only sad point was the sangria, it was more juice less wine and pineapple seemed like an afterthought not even garnish level. Overall delicious, we sat at the bar with beautiful decor and the bartender was wonderful. read more

Really enjoyed Mi Vida! The atmosphere was beautiful, the service was great, and the drinks were definitely a highlight. Our waiter was really helpful and took the time to walk us through the menu and explain everything. We started with the Un Poco de Todo, which was perfect for trying a little bit of everything. The Huevos Rellenos were easily my favorite--they were so good--and the empanada was amazing too. The taquito was a little dry for me, but overall the appetizer was great. We also got the chips and guacamole, which were awesome. For drinks, the Cinco Especies was amazing. It reminded me of a Mexican take on an Old Fashioned and was probably my favorite drink of the night. Overall, we had a really great experience. Great atmosphere, excellent service, really good food, and even better cocktails. Definitely somewhere I'd go back to read more

First let me say this place is such a vibe - come pretty to take lots of pictures. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is eclectic, energetic, and absolutely beautiful. If you're looking for a fun date night or girls' night out, this is the spot! We loved the Ponche de Lola and the Polavera (a spicy mezcal classic)--both were flavorful, refreshing, and perfectly crafted. The guacamole topped with shrimp and crab was SOOOO amazing... seriously one of the best appetizers I've had! And don't skip the wings--they were packed with flavor and disappeared fast. Definitely come for the appetizers and drinks, and stay for the incredible ambiance. We'll absolutely be back! read more

Beautiful space to come eat. The restaurant is nicely decorated and inviting. We came for the fantastic happy hour, where we ordered tacos, rice and beans, plantains and a margarita. The food was solid, nothing special but tasty. The service was okay, there was only one bartender so he did his best. However, the happy hour was reasonably priced. We were very happy with the final tab. They include gratuity on your tab so don't over tip if you go! read more

I typically begin reviews with the things I liked about a restaurant, but reverse order on this one. This is the first restaurant I've been to where I was required to pay a 20 percent gratuity even though there were just four of us. In fact, I was then encouraged to add even more. Listen, I probably would have paid 20 percent on my own but to have it added in automatically in a very average restaurant like this is inappropriate except with a large group. The Mexican food served was good - we had tacos and guacamole and chips. We were disappointed in the three dipping sauces: not very distinctive. Service was ok though definitely not great. Atmosphere is ok. This restaurant is at the wave pool but faces the street. If you could watch the surfers, it would be a home run. read more

Met some friends here for HH. HH is ONLY at the bar. Not at the tables in the bar area. Cool atmosphere. We ordered a couple of margaritas and tacos. On Tuesday they are only $4.50. I got the fish taco. Pescado. My friends got a Smashburger taco and another taco. Not sure which. We also ordered the guacamole for $14. And I got the Huevos Rellenos. We all liked our food but none of us raved. And if I paid regular price I would have been less happy. HH tacos are normally $6 but on Tuesdays they are $4.50. And guacamole is $14!!! I found it expensive even at HH. Service was good. Be aware that they automatically add on a 20% tip to ALL checks. Would I go back? Probably not.....it was good but I did not like the prices. read more

My friends and I had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday at Mi Vida VB! The ambiance was so lively and energetic. I absolutely love the colorful decor! My shrimp tacos and side of esquires were delicious! The classic guacamole for the table was a huge hit. Most of all, service was phenomenal! Our waiter Tyler was so sweet and accommodating! We felt welcomed from the moment we stepped in. Thanks for making my birthday special! read more

I Had a fabulous time at Mi Vida! We walked in and saw a fabulous item on another table. Our server was able to tell us what it was. Naturally we were intrigued and ordered immediately! There was way more food than expected to eat! It included: Huevos Rancheros - 5/5 Burrito Tejano - 4/5 Platanos Fritos - 4/5 Pan Frances - 5/5 Quesabarria with Sweet Potato Fries - 5/5 There is also a full bar with aesthetic indoor and outdoor seating. Mi Vida did not disappoint. Food, staff and atmosphere make this a great choice for lunch, dinner, or special occasion. Plenty of free parking. around the area Thanks Mi Vida read more

We waited a bit to try this place and last weekend seemed like the perfect time. We requested bar seating bc we had a babysitter so it was just the two of us. There was a line to check-in and several people were waiting for tables. We had a reservation and were sat immediately in the cute bar area - nice ambiance, very loud. It's larger inside than I thought with the bar seating, bar tables in the bar area, and then booths on the other side and seating upstairs and both a patio on the first and second floor. The menu is interesting and they have a ton of alcoholic drinks (I don't drink so, no review there). We decided to try a range of things: -Corn Bread - cold, barely warm -Crab Queso (best thing we got) - pita chips were on point -Fried fish tacos - wayyyyyy too much sauce, was swimming in it -Chicken Enchiladas - good, spicy -Salad - also very good and fresh The two best things were the queso and the salad. The first wave of food was the tacos and the corn bread and both were barely even warm... like they sat out for 15 minutes before coming to our table. Second wave was the queso and the enchiladas and both were hot and fresh. We finished the meal with churros and coffee - then, after 10 minutes our waitress told us their espresso machine was broken, no coffee. We waited another 10 minutes for the churros served with caramel, raspberry and chocolate dipping sauces. They were fresh but, not worth a 20 minute wait at the end of the meal. Table beside us ordered the chicken fajitas and they looked much better and visually interested served on a wooden tray raised off the table. We walked around a bit after dinner and the inside is beautiful. The bathrooms are like a work of art (I attached a photo) and the decor and tiles, all beautiful. Very nice on the vibes and mood. Food is expensive and our food wasn't fresh and was barely warm. I didn't want to wait any longer so I didn't complain but, the food was not worth the price. Service was friendly. Will come back again to try the fajitas but, not a place I'll come back to often for the price point and the quality of food. read more

Well, as my friend said, I'm gonna Yelp the mess out of this place! The first visit to Mi Vida was truly superb on the whole scale. Joe was our waiter and did a phenomenal job and all of the staff serving was great as well! We started with cocktails that were all fabulous. My mezcal classico was great and my husband and our friend enjoyed their drinks as well. The mezcal menu is extensive (as well as the tequilas) which was great to see. They also have a cocktail flight which I'd love to try next time! We started with the queso fundido; great flavor and nice chunks of chorizo. I had the enchiladas (mole) and those were good and had the right amount of heat. My husband had the carne asada tacos and thought the meat was far too tough, so those were a disappointment. My friend had the fish tacos and those were awesome. So, 2 out of 3 of us loved our meals. I wasn't a fan of the upselling of the menu. While our waiter was wonderful, he was leaning heavily on having us order sides with our meals and mentioned that his favorite was the most expensive thing on the menu. While that could be the case, it felt a bit off-putting. The ambiance is lovely, inviting, intriguing and catches your eye around every corner. They did a phenomenal job with decor. While the bathrooms are spacious and nice, getting there made me feel like I was in the back alley of New York. You can hardly see where you're walking...and I have young eyes. They definitely need to consider brighter lighting, especially for older patrons. Overall we would return and had a great experience! read more

The food is an interesting Latin food fusion, like a modern mix that doesn't quite hit the nail on the head for me. I believe Sundays & Mondays are their Service Industry days at 20% off (?). We highly enjoyed our experience/ Food at the Mi Vida! VA Beach! We got the Barria Tacos, Pollo Fajitas and Green Verde Chicken enchiladas and they where all great! This was actually my 2nd time at the Mi Vida, We went last Monday when we stayed at the Sitio, (review posted here: https://yelp.to/lqrcqMcKCr) And it was good as well. The only thing that I didn't really like is that they say on the menu that a 20% Gratuity is Added and appropriate, I didn't really like that but overall great food, service and atmosphere. I visited Mi Vida for a Galentine's Day dinner and had a mostly enjoyable experience with a very disappointing ending. We ordered the Sabores de Mexico family-style meal, which was a great option for sharing and trying a variety of dishes. The food itself was flavorful, well-portioned, and overall really good. I also appreciated that the staff was accommodating and mindful of my food allergies, which made me feel comfortable dining there. Unfortunately, the way our evening ended overshadowed everything. As our group was leaving, staff chased us down as if we had not paid for our meal. This was extremely embarrassing and uncomfortable, especially since we were a group of Black women simply celebrating Galentine's Day and had in fact paid. Situations like this should be handled with much more discretion and verification before approaching guests publicly. I believe mistakes happen, but how they are handled matters. The food was good and the family-style experience was enjoyable, but the exit interaction left a lasting negative impression. I hope management takes this feedback seriously so future guests can enjoy the full experience without moments like this. This was embarrassing and people were watching. read more

Finally had the chance to try the newly opened Mi Vida with a group of girlfriends during restaurant week! First off, this place is a VIBE! So aesthetically pleasing and very moody- from the lighting to the decor, which makes this the perfect place for date night. There's 2 floors so there's plenty of room for dining and the bar is on the first floor. There's a parking garage attached to the restaurant which makes it easy to get back and forth. Service was just as beautiful as the restaurant itself. Now for the food- we al opted in for the $45 family style meal and was so impressed by how much food was brought to our table. Everything was amazing! I'm already planning my next visit; this time for happy hour! read more

Really good food. Was kinda surprised! Usually these upscale fancy Mexican restaurants have small portion sizes and are underwhelming but they definitely know what they're doing! The cornbread was served looking like real corn which we thought was so cute! The guacamole was delicious, too. One warning: Most of the food had a bit of a kick to it, even the ones the waitress said wouldn't be spicy. This place does not look over the water though. read more

A DC transplant, this brand new location of Mi Vida brings an elegant setting and delicious food to Virginia Beach, adjacent to the new Atlantic Wave Park. A truly fantastic experience from beginning to end, for this visit we were a larger group of 6 adults and 2 younger kids. The team at Mi Vida accommodated us with a smile and were super helpful at every step of the way. Even though they'd been open less than a week when we stopped in, you'd never know it - the cocktails, food, service, and entire experience were all solid and on point! Notable favorites: Queso fundido: normally queso fundido's I've had in the past are heavy - this one was a bit lighter and flavored well - a delicious addition to the meal. Guacamole: always a staple at any Mexican restaurant and here is no different. Tasted fresh and a perfect balance of the right ingredients Ensalada verde: a great way to open the appetite, the baby gem lettuce is fun variety although it makes the salad feel slightly smaller. That said, loved the light, yet creamy dressing and overall it was truly delicious. Enchiladas Suizas: likely one of their most popular dishes, and I can see why. The chicken is tender, and the tomatillo sauce is tangy complementing the overall dish well. Salmon Manchamanteles: salmon cooked perfectly, and the sweet potato mash and ancho-pineapple sauce provide the perfect balance of savory and sweet that complement the fish and complete the dish. All of the desserts we tried were decadent but the favorite was hands-down the citrus tres leches - as every bite has the right mix of soaked milk cake and the citrus wasn't overpowering. The Volcán de helados and the churros were also all loved by the whole table. Our friends who live locally have already been back twice since and shared Mi Vida with others, all having similar experiences as they explore other parts of the menu. We'll keep this one in our back pocket for when we visit again. (While we sat downstairs, they have an upstairs dining room that wasn't open yet at the time of our visit due to their recent opening.) read more

Came her for a girls night on a Saturday evening with no reservation we had such a great experience here! We were seated right away. The food, service, and ambiance were all fantastic. Ray, the hostess, was so friendly and funny, he set the tone for a great night right from the start. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable for the location. Our dishes did take a little longer than expected to come out, but our server was very apologetic, so it didn't take away from the overall experience. I absolutely loved the décor and the whole vibe of the place. I'd definitely come back and recommend it to others! read more

I booked a reservation for 11 at Mi Vida for a Friendmas dinner. When we arrived, the hostess was very nice and accommodating and let us set up the table even though majority of our party had not arrive. Our waitress was Sierra, and she was our only server for a party of 11. She did an EXCELLENT job! Our orders were correct, she visited the table often, and she never once seemed overwhelmed. The ambiance of the restaurant is also very nice. It is perfect for a date night, a group gathering, or celebration. For all of the above, I would recommend Mi Vida. But here is where I personally don't think I'd go back on my own choosing. The restaurant is very expensive, and nothing I had or saw anyone else have was worth the price. I paid $79 for one drink and CHICKEN fajitas. The fajita had a great presentation, but a cut up chicken breast is not what I was expecting when I ordered. The chicken was very moist, but again not what I expected. I also don't expect corn bread with fajitas and wasn't a fan of it sitting in the cheese sauce. It gave it a weird flavor. I'd ask for it on the side. If ordering from the small plates as a meal, please please follow directions and order 2-3 or you may be disappointed. Our table definitely was. I would say the highlights of the night as far as food is concerned was the guacamole and the salsa and chips. Oh and they have a really neat payment system we all were impressed with. We passed around a QR code and everyone was able to choose their individual items to pay for. Checkout for a party of 11 was seamless. I wish more restaurants had this payment option! Overall, the experience was good, but this would not be my first choice when choosing a restaurant in the future! read more

This place is nice! Reminds me of my old stomping grounds Northern VA/DC restaurants! Fake tree with flowers on branches at the center of the dining area entrance. The music was great dance music. Ambiance is a 5. But service leaves so much to be desired! I was a solo diner, made reservation via OpenTable. I was greeted at reception desk, they found my reservation. I was seated by a nice corner with a view to the bar and the rest of the dining area. I was seated and was given the menu and drinks list. There was a couple that came about 7 minutes after me, seated next to me. The waitress greeted them first! Am I invisible? Or maybe because I was in my shorts and Colorado Springs sweatshirt and suede boots or that I wasn't ordering cocktails that I wasn't worth the business? Still, I asked for water. I even took my health break found my way to the ladies room, came back and STILL no water. So I saw this nice gentleman walk by, asked if he is the manager (Tony who later swung by to check in, so I say he redeemed the service perception!) and told him I am still waiting on my water! Service definitely a 2 but I'd give the 3 to reconsider that they're just shaking out the kinks having just opened 3 days ago! The waitress finally came around, I already decided on my order: mole enchiladas. They came by to let me taste the mole sauce to make sure it's to my liking. It was, but I let her know I want it served to the side instead of completely drenching my enchiladas. They had an amuse bouche: a single shrimp with minced cucumbers and tiny julienned habanero; it was good. The mole enchilada was good. The brisket was seasoned but I was hoping a tad more. The mole sauce definitely was better served to the side. I am taking the 1 of 2 enchiladas home for later. I opted to order dessert. There were choices of churros, flan, citrus tres leches cake but I opted for Volcan de Helado which is trio ice cream (Vanilla, chocolate, ??) with brittle, brownie bits and caramel sauce - the brittle made it slightly special. An alternative to paper bill was QR code scanning but it didn't work for me! So went with the paper bill/receipt. Oh and there's parking garage but you pay $4 for 2 hours. Wish the restaurant can have validated parking even for the first hour considering the time it took for them to serve water! read more

I was told to try this place. I was going to a concert at the Dome and it was literally right next door. This reminds me so much of Dlena in DC. It's has a dark and sexy aesthetic to it and it's two floors . I sat at the bar per usual that way you meet people and indeed met two friends also going to the same concert. I tried a small plate of the Quesabirria . The bartender recommended the enchiladas with the mole sauce . I personally didn't like it , it was too much sauce . I also ordered the elote shaped cornbread, these were so cute. The texture reminded me of tamales , not in a good way. I ordered 2 frozen cocktails called the La Frozen. The mole enchiladas flavorful and crave-able. I've also tried the small plate of carnitas m, tacos, the chips and guac, and the lunch express. It's high end, Central American/Mexican food. The service is great and it's so pretty inside. It's just good vibes and a good time. Go, before it gets crazy this summer. Classic date night and new experience with an authentic Mexican where as soon as you walk in your entrance a gorgeous view and layout of the place has different elements to it where the bar has the aesthetics to and the dinner seating area is very intimate especially at night dim the lights and have a private evening. The service was absolutely fantastic and the staff were very welcoming and our service was excellent and the server was very helpful of guide us for the drink selection causes they had a whole list of various drinks especially tequila. I tried there bajo el mar which comes in a fish glass and is served with cucumber thinly slice this was very light and refreshing for a gin cocktail based and I love that for a started drink if your not to sure what drink to start with and the second drink I tried was there La buena Vida that was more of your classic tequila drinks but with orange to top it off and both drinks were not too heavy and pair well with our dessert pastel de chocolate this definitely a chocolate forward dish for all my chocolate lovers out it was rich and balanced dessert definitely will have that again next visit For dinner I had there quseabirria which was very good and had that perfect crunch from a classic quesadilla and adding that exact flavor profile of birria without the base they perfectly crafted this I would recommend this an option to eat and it comes with vegetables as well but they have a vinegar or acidity taste to cut down the richness. Overall this was a fun date night from the moment we walk in to getting in and seating in with beautiful layout and setup and service was truly amazing and this spot is perfect if you are near the oceanfront or have a show at the dome and want to grab a bite perfect options to try out definitely will be back to try more. read more

Came for happy hour since it was Taco Tuesday. We were going to request a booth but was advised happy hour was only at the bar, not even the tables in the bar area. It was 5pm so it wasn't that busy. There was one other couplets that bar and a few tables in the area. We got the con trío de salsa( chips & salsa trio), Jains con queso( crab queso w/ pitas) , alitas( wings), a carne taco and carnitas taco. I started to get the crab and shrimp guacamole but was glad I chose the crab queso. I had the guac before which was good but wanted to try something different. The queso was cheesy and it was full of lump crab, the pitas that come with it was great!! We were pleasantly surprised how good the wings were. We got 4 initially and ended up ordered 4 more. You can't go wrong with chips and salad, the chips are super fresh and I love spicy salsa. They brought a shrimp taco out by mistake, but the couple near us had ordered one so I got to try it. Shrimp was cooked well, not a fan of the cabbage on it. My husband enjoyed his carne taco and the carnitas was ok. I would probably stick to the carne or pollo next time. I tried the ponche de Lola cocktail from the happy hour menu. I was ok, but I would definitely get a different cocktail next time. My husband got an old fashion which he enjoyed. Not a bad spot for happy hour. read more

We were really excited to try this restaurant. Social media has really hyped it up. The ambiance is amazing, the decor, the overall look of the restaurant is great. The service was also great. Our server was attentive, friendly, and didn't give us a hard time with our issues. The drinks were also good, worth the price. Although, those aspects were great... the food, not so much. The food was overpriced for not being that great. I ordered the seafood guac, which was good but not something to go crazy about. The salsa was also good, and no salsa was not free lol. The fish and I fries I ordered though was mid and salty. All in all... great ambiance, service, and drinks, but mid food. read more

5 Stars for food, 2 Stars for Accessibility and misleading happy hour! UPDATE: The corporate manager did respond to my email and said she would update their accessibility policy allowing people who physically can't sit at a bar to sit on the lower tables and enjoy happy hour pricing. Since I don't live in VA Beach, I have no way of confirming if this is being implemented. But will trust for now that it is being implemented until I return in the near future and can find out in real time. Previous Complaint: Mi Vida has a great atmosphere, but their Happy Hour is strictly 'bar-only' with only 3 low, accessible seats. My daughter has Down syndrome and low muscle tone, so high stools are unsafe for her. When the low seats were full, the staff was put in a tough position due to strict corporate rules about table pricing. They did eventually accommodate us at a table, but the restrictive policy made the entire experience incredibly stressful. Management needs to change this policy so guests with disabilities aren't made to feel like a burden just to get a safe place to sit. read more

My family and I visited today, 9/13/26. The food was good, the restaurant was very clean, and the hostess was lovely and attentive. Our waiter was okay, but I was very upset with the interaction that ended our meal. My husband and I came here for an afternoon brunch after church, with our two young children. We ended our meal by sharing the espresso flan, which was very good but also small (not complaining about size but it gives context for the waiter's comment). The waiter returned to our table once we finished the flan and exclaimed, "G-d D--n you all ate up that flan!" First of all, it was tiny, so yes- my husband and I shared and finished it. Second, why is the waiter swearing to us in front of our two young children? This was absolutely not appropriate- whether children were present or not. This was disrespectful and we were very disappointed by this. read more

Really wanted to like Mi Vida, but unfortunately it completely missed the mark. Service wasn't bad, but it was noticeably slow considering there weren't many tables. The biggest issue was the food. The salsa on the enchiladas suizas was extremely salty, almost inedible. My husband ended up just eating the chicken inside and having to avoid the sauce altogether, it was that bad. I ordered the huevos rancheros, which were okay. I wasn't expecting the most authentic Mexican, but I thought it was a bit odd that it came with spinach and grape tomatoes, it didn't really fit the dish. We also tried the quesabirria, and it didn't come with consomme, which is kind of the whole point of birria. One thing that also caught us off guard, the tip was already included, but this wasn't mentioned to us. We ended up tipping on top of that without realizing, which felt a little misleading. For the price, you're honestly better off going to a local Tex-Mex spot and getting comparable food for about half the cost. (And this is coming from someone who is Mexican.) I don't like leaving negative reviews, but I hope this feedback is helpful. I really do hope they improve and succeed. read more

We made reservations but canceled them because we wanted to take our food to go our last night on vacation in Virginia Beach. The greeter told me no problem and asked my husband and I to go to the bar and place our order. We looked at the menu and when we finally decided, we ordered 2 enchiladas and nachos. We asked the bar tender who was taking our order for sour cream and guacamole on the side. He rang us up and the bill came to $77. First of all, he added on a 20% gratuity for himself for taking a to go order which I promptly addressed. He then says he'll take it off! WTF, it should never have been put on there in the 1st place. Secondly, he charged us $14 for guacamole which when I addressed, he says "you didn't see the price on the menu"? I told him I wasn't looking at the whole menu. Why would we pay &14 for a side of guacamole? He actually rang us up for guacamole and chips which was a big bowl. I made him deduct that as well at which point he got an attitude. So after trying to cheat us twice, we returned to our hotel and the food wound up being not so appetizing. Bottom line, I hate a people that think they can get over and I hate bad food. Glad I don't live in VB. read more

I have been waiting to try this place. Came on Saturday was able to get a reservation for 445 easily on OpenTable. We arrived 15 mins early and was seated right away. Located right across from the DOME. Decor is very unique and beautiful( sure it's amazing at night). For drinks I had the Ponche de Lola, was refreshing and good. For appetizers we had the classic guacamole, Alitas( chicken wings) and the Aguachile de Atun (their version of ceviche).. OMG it was a hit the best I have had. Bursting with flavor and the marinade they pour over the dish is chefs kiss. For entrees we have the carne asada entree which was very flavorful and the mushrooms were a great touch. Hubby had carne asada tacos which he said was good. Desert was churros and Flan de espresso. Flan was rich with espresso flavor great for after dinner. Over all enjoyed this place. Will be back for Happy hour through the week to try more options. Check them out it's definitely worth the money. Parking garage short walk away. read more

Was in the area from out of state so decided to give this place a try. Let me start by saying the flavors of the food are good, the ambiance of the place is solid and the speed of service is great. That being said, none of that overshadows the obvious downside of this place, which is that it is ENTIRELY overpriced. Now, I don't mind paying $100+ for a solo dinner, but this place is not that experience. Started with a top shelf margarita, what I got was a super tiny drink that tasted mainly of lime juice and had no taste of tequila, at all. Got the chips/guac with the add on salsa trio -- let's be honest, at these prices the chip and salsa trio should be complimentary when you sit down, the $14 guacamole is fine. Now for the two other major downsides. I ordered the 40+ Carne Asada dish mid-rare, it came out literally raw, almost to the point of being inedible. Combine that with the fact it's served on top of a mushroom reduction -- again, doesn't taste bad, but come on.. To cap it off I got hit with an automatic 20% gratuity charge for ordering solo at the bar, never happened to me before.. I'm an across the board 20% tipper, but I feel it's shady when they hit you with it mandatorily for a meal and a drink, alone, at the bar. I haven't been to many other places in the area but I'm confident your dollar can do you better elsewhere. read more

The only reasons they are getting 3 stars .... 1 star awarded for the chips and salsa alone. They were the best thing we ordered. And yes, you have to order them as a starter. Not automatically included. But, they were so good. 2 stars for the staff. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Took off stars for ridiculously priced bland and average at best tacos. Only flavor in the carne asada tacos came from the salsa. I ate here, so no one else has to. Not worth it at all. read more

Absolutely loved the gorgeous decor! A great addition to the Virginia Beach scene. Get the guacamole with shrimp and crab! I always enjoy when there's a good mole on the menu, too. Enjoyable drinks and service along with a good happy hour and Taco Tuesday. Then walk a couple steps outside to watch the surfers at the Wave Garden! read more

Mi Vida - a yummy experience - Mexican Near Me - Virginia Beach, Virginia

Sierra was lovely, 10/10 . The restaurant , i believe (5/10) it has pros & cons . Pro : beautiful establishment , aesthetically pleasing , the food served is very well plated too , great location , huge drink menu , Decent price ($$) & management is very professional & kind . Cons : you have to pay for garage parking while dining , they seated multiple table in a smaller side area & it was loud while the rest of the restaurant was quiet & available ( 7pm ) , menu was very basic Tex/Mex , in my experience I ordered the crab enchiladas & it was way too much sautéed onions ; very little "lump"crab meat & i mean ALOT of onions . Over all , I would say they gotta try again with the food portion but I'd come have a drink for sure ! read more
