Dang this is me being spoiled in LA I guess but, I don't expect to pay more than 89 cents a pastry, maybe 99 cents. They're minimum 1.29 here. They're really good though. The meat selection is decent but not super cheap to me. The hot tamales are what I came for basically. I needed lunch. They have a whole restaurant in there too. But yeah, prices are just ok. Passion Fruit my favorite. They will provide small sample to help u decide what to order. Beef Birria Like a beef stew, complex flavors, almost went with this. I noticed several cakes with moldy strawberries and told two checker girls. They both acknowledged the problem with a disinterested apathy and did nothing. The next day, the moldy cakes were still sitting on the shelf. I don't mean to be a traitor to my own kind, but if this was a white-run store (like Nugget or Trader Joe's), those cakes would be off the shelf and in the trash almost immediately! read more

Horrible food! I felt like the hot food for sale was day old, Not fresh at all! I've had this problem a few times but didn't react to it. This time I mentioned it to them as I was leaving, I gave them my plate of food back and told them that I was unhappy with the quality. They didn't seem to care! Typical workers, as long and I get my paycheck , who cares! Anyways, stay away from this establishment! La Esperanza is the place you should always should to support instead of this place. read more

Came here for some alcohol for a fun Friday night in the morning and some fresh tamales. However the cashier was very rude. Don't know if her name was Zarahai or sahai but she had the worst customer service I have ever seen. She asked if I wanted a bag and I replied no thank you and she still added it to my transaction and I brought it up and that's when she said well you actually need a bag to leave the store with alcohol. And then processed to bag my pink boxes canned wine coolers lol, I was confused on why she asked me in the first place then if it wasn't an option. And that logic makes no sense since people walk out with a pack of beers all the time. I would've been fine with it but she was soo rude and with an attitude. Made me feel uncomfortable Furthermore, I forgot to buy milk so I went back after leaving my stuff in the car and she was the only cashier with another lady and the other lady was busy,l with another customer so it's only her available, and she pretends to be busy when she sees it's me again, by putting back the baskets after she seen I was in line. I don't like coming here unless I really have to. The cashiers are always rude they don't ever say hi and thank you l. Always a rude grouchy face all they know how to say is you want bag? They don't ever say thank you nothing at all. The meat I got there was old and stinky produce is always rotten. It will take me another 5-6 months to come back here again. read more

I passed by, and see they sell tamales. They were very careful wrapped, You can see the difference between one and another. They are okey nothing special. I had better than this one. Need to work in the flavor and the moisture of the Dow. They brake apart when you open it. And salty flavor. They are made in serie but not in Sirius. read more

I usually come here all the time but some cashier are just so rude. I was going to pay my stuff and my brother was paying for his stuff separately. He even made a huge gap between mine and his stuff. She grabs something from his pile and he says 'that is separate,' twice and she still scans it. I say that the meat was separate to her too. She sighs really loud and slams the bag of meat on the counter. Then grabs the divider and slams it on the counter. read more

I've been to various supermercados in the Sacramento area and this is my favorite one. The place always seems to be very clean. I've never had the taqueria so I can't vouch for that. What I can say is that the tamales de elote are amazing! I like the way they handle helping customers in the carnicería they have a number system unlike other places where someone might cut ahead of you. Cashiers are very rude and don't greet their customers. I was told to go to cashier number 4 however the cashier sent us to number 5 with a very nasty attitude. Number 4 did not even greet or glance at us while scanning and never told us the total she was just talking to another coworker. Never shopping here ever again!!!! read more

Now that the weather is heating up and the BBQ's are coming out, this is my go to for meats. While it does seem kind of costly, I like their quality better than other carniceras. Their arrancherra will set you back about $8 a pound, but it's tender and not tough like other places I've tried. They also carry seafood, poultry and specialty items like tongue and pata. Aside from the meat counter it's a typical grocery store but with a little more emphasis on Hispanic items, especially the candy. And they do have cases with pan dulce, which is nice, especially since Esperanza's gets packed. It does have a restaurant inside as well. The three stars is for produce, it sucks. Bought pineapples and they were spoiled. Limes were drier than the Sahara, my strawberries spoiled the next day and I was going to buy some onions until I realized half the bin was rotten. And it's been said before, the ladies at the registers can be rude, especially if they think you don't speak Spanish. read more

They just opened a new section on the side of the store, the food is amazing and they have all kids of Mexican food. The tortas are my favorite and the corn on the cup! First time at this store! Been driving past this store for years and finally stopped by because I was craving some mexican ice cream :) Lol, didn't know this place closes at 8:30pm. Got here at 8:35pm, but was still able to go in :D Took a quick stroll before we grabbed ice cream (it's at the front next to the register)! This place is not too clean, but it's a big store and quite organized and colorful inside with a nice mural at the front wall! They sell veggies, fruits, canned goods, salsa, and the usual stuff that all supermarket sells plus some yummy and interesting mexican goodies like their bread/baked goodies, meats, tamales and more. Items here are pretty cheap too! I noticed there's a taqueria inside near the front and I will be back to try their tacos, burritos, or something :D There's also a Bank of America ATM inside, so that's cool. This place accepts cash, card, and EBT :) Parking lot is big too! Just remember this place closes at 8:30pm! Great place to pick up any of those mexican ingredients/groceries you need! The location of this store is kind of sketchy, especially at night, so be safe, but there's a security guard on duty :) I'll definitely be back to pick up more goodies :) Get yourself some yummy mexican ice cream :) 99 cents! read more

Girls at the Taqueria are rude af. They didn't have any cabbage or radishes at the salsa bar so I asked for it the first time and she tells me she put it away already so I waited for her to say she gonna go get it (not sure why it was put away 2 hours before closing) so I went back to the car to realize I forgot the limes so I asked again if they had any in the back. I discovered this place in Yelp but I didn't pay attention to the reviews I went and I found it really interesting because it had a lot of products from my country in which the Mexican store by my house name superior didn't right. So I made this my yo go store even tho it's far away from my house but lately their products and meats are very very low quality specially the meats I noticed that they put food coloring or something to make the meat look fresh that's a no for me so disappointed and disgusting. This was some of the best food I've had in a while. I was torn between so many options but settled on the bacon wrapped jalapeno stuffed chicken and it was well worth it. Especially great was that the spice was not too hot for my delicate Irish tongue. And the speed it came out was unexpected, barely had enough time to get through my margarita flight. read more

Each taco had a generous amount of meat, was well-prepared, and tasted fresh. The real game changer, though, was adding the jalapeño cream sauce along with a few salsas from the salsa bar which took the tacos to another level. If I could, I'd give this place 6 stars just for that! Also, I'd recommend the cucumber lime agua fresca drink. It tasted refreshing and the perfect amount of each flavor. Their menu has a great variety of options, and I noticed several people ordering the dinner plates, which looked absolutely massive. I also saw them bring out a sizzling hot skillet that I could hear from a few tables down. You definitely get your money's worth here. The service was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly fast. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, and the salsa bar was fresh, organized, and full of appetizing choices. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!
