But what makes it stand…read moreout to me and the reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 3, is that it has an awesome fully covered patio. And on said patio there is plenty of seating. I prefer high tops and love that they have several out there. They also have fans and TVs. It is an absolutely fantastic place to hang out, eat some food, drink a beer and chill. The food and service really didn't stand out. They were "fine". I had several various kinds of tacos. They have beer on tap but it's not a particularly robust selection. But in these respects there is nothing that would really distinguish it from anywhere else. The real winner is the atmosphere generated by the patio. I'd strongly suggest swinging by on a nice day and just soaking it all up.

It is authentic Mexican food with an extensive menu. In FORREST PLAZA across the street from Badcock furniture in Grovetown. First impression on walking into the restaurant is damn the furniture is nice. All the tables and chairs are made from sturdy, beautiful wood imported from Mexico through Texas. They've got the place dolled up for Christmas so go there while it's still decked out. Bless these people with your money not just bc they deserve it but, because the food warrants the praise. When you sit down, they bring you four different types of salsa with fresh warm chips. My hubs was impressed. I wasn't because I know the real deal when I see it. Also, remarkably affordable so you can feed the whole family.

Absolutely heinous that I got a 5in bag of chip crumbs for my purchase of 2 entrees & 2 dips... when I asked the server for another bag of chips for my Togo order she said they couldn't do that and then walked away. Will never order to go from here again. Eating in person is hit or miss, service wise they are sometimes attentive, sometimes act like they have better things to do than wait tables.

First time here and I am impressed and happy with the food quality here, everything tasted…read moredelicious. It is a pretty big space with tables and booths, we went around 3pm on a Sunday and they was a consistent busy crowd to come in and out. They have hot food and cold snacks like ice cream, mangonadas; etc. and 2 areas you can order from for each of those. The manager/owner gentleman that was there was super friendly, helped us fix our order when they made a mistake checking us out. I have no complaints about the customer service here. For drinks we got the Medium strawberry agua fresca ($6.50) with boba ($0.96) and a Medium horchata ($5.95). For food we got the steak quesadilla ($11.75), tacos al pastor ($12.22) and a queso ($3.25). I took 1 star off because of two things: - the queso was SO watery, we didn't even finish it lol very underwhelming - for 2 meals, 2 drinks & queso it was ~$40.00, I'm from TX and that just seems like highway robbery I'm glad that I got a chance to try them out, I will probably only come here for a snack every once in a while if those prices aren't as high.

Perusing the store for a long time, I ordered a milkshake but ended up receiving just ice cream due to a miscommunication that I didn't want to push to fix. My pistachio ice cream was okay, but not really worth the trouble I went through to get it. That had some interesting options, and notably are a grill as well as a dessert place and I think you can get tofu tacos. I may well give them another shot and hope for a better experience.

Plenty of space between tables. Two different rooms with tables. Colorful displays. But the rooms are tired and industrial looking. Entrance area should be improved to create a different curb appeal. Looks like a dive. 2. FOOD/DRINKS = 3 There were 4 of us. I had beef tacos which were good. I order the tortilla soup and was disappointed. It was hot but to salty for my taste. My expectations is that the ingredients would be something I added. But all of it was in the soup and in general not appetizing and was way to hot to enjoy. plus $8.00 was a high price for a low quality soup. Would not order soup. The other diner was not satisfied as the meal was Luke warm. The other two diners felt meals met expectations and enjoyed them. 3. SERVICE = 3 There was only one person who handles serving and taking care payments. We were only people in the restaurant so not sure how well it would go with larger crowd. Did a decent job of managing our order and food delivery. 4. BATHROOM = NA 5. PRICING = 3 Normal pricing structure for Mexican resteraunt food. $3.50 tacos. $13 to $14 other meals. Soup is over priced. 6. OBSERVATION Parking lot is dirt and entrance is a rough not smooth. Signage not great. It is an out the way area. It was dark when we went so it was hard tell what it was. We went with person who knew of the place. I would not dissuade anyone from going. I would give it another try. 7. Update: I Finally Tried the Carnitas…read more Today I finally tried the carnitas, and I've been missing out all this time! Usually when I get my ground beef burrito, I load it up with almost everything. This time I decided to back off and keep things simple so I could actually taste the meat. I went with Southwestern rice, pinto beans, carnitas, lettuce, pico de gallo, white onion and cilantro, two squeezes of lime, and guacamole. This was the second time this particular employee has wrapped my burrito, and I've noticed she has a habit of rolling it so that most of the guacamole ends up on one end rather than running along the length of the burrito. The result is that my first several bites were basically all guacamole -- which, honestly, isn't necessarily a bad thing! It can be a little overpowering when you get that much in one bite, but things worked out once I got farther into the burrito. Interestingly, the different ingredients seemed to line up in sections. The rice was toward one side, the beans in the middle, and then I finally reached the carnitas. Once I got about three-quarters of the way through, that's when the carnitas really started to stand out. The flavor was excellent, and I could finally appreciate why people like it. Now I'm thinking the next time I'll leave the guacamole off and maybe try the cilantro-lime rice instead. I want to see how the carnitas taste when I really let them be the star of the burrito. So, after four months of mostly ordering ground beef, I've officially discovered another reason to keep coming back to Surcheros.
