A lot can happen in four years, which was the amount of time that surpassed between the first time I came here and my visit the other day. The approximately $4 increase in menu prices notwithstanding, Mi Molcasalsa is still muy delicioso. Here's an excerpt from the review I wrote in 2018: "I went with the No. 20, the adobada plate. Anchored by thinly-sliced, well-seasoned strips of pork, the dish is complemented by generous, delicioso helpings of arroz (rice), frijoles fritos (refried beans), and ensalada (salad) ... Every bite and spoonful was Heaven! Safe to say that adobada is one of the reasons why taquerias tend to be better than their chain counterparts i.e. Gringo's." I'm happy to report that the adobada plate still amazes me. I was stuffed halfway working through it. The COVID-19 pandemic caused many small businesses to close their doors permanently, but thankfully Mi Molcasalsa survived those dark times. read more

I went to the drive up window. I ordered a chicken quesadilla extra green salsa. They were super fast the food is super good. But they gave me one two oz cup of salsa. I'll pay for extra. I got home and I was deflated. Good food I recommend going inside and check on your order before you leave. Very nice staff. read more

I have visited this place many times because I love a drive through. Super clean, super nice people. The food to me is just average. We have had breakfast burritos which were good, I like the caldo. Cheese Enchiladas would never order again. Super small and the cheese was weird like liquid. If I am going to eat cheese enchiladas I want them filled with great cheese, chili gravy etc. beans ok, rice-no. Tortillas good. I will still get soup and other things from here. Tried this place for the first time today. Staff was very nice. We went through the drive thru to grab a couple tacos. I just suggest checking your order! I ordered a barbacoa taco and another with potato, chorizo, bacon and cheese and emphasized NO EGG. Well, it came out quick but there was no chorizo and they added egg. So they happily fixed it for me but I didn't check it again and when I got home I realized that didn't add the cheese. Not a deal breaker but they should be more careful when making orders. The barbacoa was yummy but very greasy. I'm not sure how I feel about them using french fries for the potatoes in my taco but overall it was good. Will probably try it again! read more

Quick service and friendly staff, this is my go to spot for my lunch break. There is a drive thru, but I like going inside and hanging out while I wait to take my stuff to go. The inside area is extremely clean & there's plenty of space if you want to eat in. My only issue has been them forgetting to do no tomatoes or no sour cream, simple stuff like that. So happy to find this place!! Being from San Diego it's been really hard to find a "taco shop." This place had everything I missed and love about San Diego Mexican food. We got a couple burritos so we could try a few things. I had to get a Bean & Cheese burrito with sour cream, grew on 'em, it was a little smaller than the ones back home but it was good and as close to home as I've had! The Carne Asada burrito was good too, I thought it had good flavor. Can't wait to try carne asada fries!! Best drinking food haha we also got a bacon breakfast burrito, which was yummy. Salsa were good, not a lot of heat but again closest to home I've had. Also, it's a drive thru!!! I misses drive thru taco shops so much!! We'll be back for sure! I was a bit overwhelmed with the amount of pictures they have on their wall where each menu was simply put together on top of a styrofoam plate. But i came here with a mindset that their food must be good because yelp review indicates that. So I ordered Beef burrito and quesadilla plate, plus 2 pastol tacos. Honestly the presentation of their food that they brought on the table was a lot better than the picture they put on the wall, they use ceramic plate with heavy metal utensils, not styrofoam/flimzy plastic utensils. Regarding the flavor of the food.. I think it was one of the best mexican food I've had by far! They also had empanadas on display that I wantes to buy, they said it is no longer fresh so they are not for sale anymore. Guys, I really appreciate good food and honesty!! therefore this place deserves 5 stars from me! btw, you can order their tamales in advance too, they said it is $14.99 for a dozen of big tamales. This is one of the best Mexican food places in town. Today was my first time stopping in. The place was very clean and had a friendly/welcoming environment. I ordered the bacon breakfast burrito and it was very good. I would compare this to a taco shop in San Diego CA because it is almost that good. I only wish they were 24 hours like the ones in SD. Had their bean tostados. Very good. Plentiful amount of toppings. Drive thru service was very prompt and friendly. The only disappointment was the price. Over $7 for 2 bean tostadas. NO MEAT. Over priced. Do NOT go by menu prices on Yelp's site. NOT accurate..Can get equally delicious tostadas elsewhere for less. This place is a complete rip off. They charge an insane amount for rolled tacos and there was no meat in them. I told them about the problem and instead of fixing it, the old woman made excuses as to why there was no meat in TACOS. The hipo burrito was full of fatty carne guisada. The woman actually got in my face like she was going to hit me . I wouldn't recommend this piece of shit place to my worst enemies. If you want good Mexican food, just go down the road to El Valle. I brought my picky 14 year old here thinking I was going to order her a beef taco and listen to her complain. But no, she ordered the beef burrito plate and gobbled up a burrito, rice and beans.
