Seriously Taco Bell is better. The food is ok-ish taste wise but the portions are tiny and all rice. Ordered House Terra Sa. Was served less than a cup of rice, 2 one inch cubes of chicken, 2 shrimp and if there was steak in it I couldn't find it! Any other Mexican place in town would be a better choice. The worst part is they are proud of their food and are not ashamed to price it like they are proud of it. Seriously, you can see Taco Bell from their parking lot, go there instead or do yourself a favor and go to El Azul or Caney Mex.

For some odd reason, Mexican restaurants have not so good restrooms. They need, easier to access soap dispensers and paper towel dispenser. The handle of the faucet looked so dirty and I could not reach the paper towels that I had to wipe my wet hands on my pants and open the door handle with my tie. The food (enchilada, taco, and quesadilla) was great though. They give good chips and salsa as well.

WOW! Really great!…read more Growing up in the southwest and the west I was genuinely stunned to find such a Mexican food gem in West Virginia. I had a variety of enchiladas in an outstanding home-made red sauce, delicious fresh rice and beans with expertly prepared grilled jalapeños, finely sliced so they were easy to mix in the amount with your food (grilled jalapeños I've had they just stick them on the side). My friend had a chicken dish in white sauce and thought it was great also. This was my second trip to Matewan, and afterwards was disapointed I missed Mi Pueblito the first time around. I won't miss it on my next trip to Matewan to be sure, in fact I plan to go there next time I'm in WV just for that home-made enchilada gravy, that alone is worth the trip. The flood wall and rail station museum also good, the lady Mishelle that runs it is very nice and full of information.
