Burrito Mojado

I ordered a green wet burrito. The lady rang me up and said the machine was ready for payment before walking away. I tapped my card and sat down to wait for the burrito. Moments later, I received a bank notification for an amount about $6 more than what my order was worth. Apparently the cashier had not finished closing out my order before they started charging the next person. So I got charged their item as well. It's not the end of the world. I was able to get a refund for that amount. They handed me my order in a paper bag and I left. The wet burrito was covered in red not green sauce. Whatever I could get over it. But what felt like the straw that broke the camel's back was the amount of soggy lettuce inside of the burrito. Not a topping. Just filled with soggy hot shredded lettuce. The list of ingredients did not include lettuce. Very disappointed with their service and food preparation. I ended up throwing it away because all I could taste was soggy lettuce.

Had a few friends drop by to visit and went over to get some tacos. Market is very busy during the weekends as expected, but the staff did their best to push out orders as fast as they can with the people ordering at the store along with DoorDash orders. Great food as always, will return again!

05/18/2023- Disappointed today. Ordered delivery today through DoirDash and only received 1 of 2 tamale dinners. It was even on the receipt taped to the bag that I ordered 2. Food that i did receive tasted good .

I've been here twice so far. They have a bunch of Latino food items. The Mexican chips are the cheapest here that I found. I like Mexican Cheeto balls and the Mexican Fritos but most places charge like $5-6 a bag. I have had their bread & it has been good both times. We were recommended to this place by my uncle. He said to try their fish tacos. We ordered fish tacos and shrimp tacos. I also ordered birria to go. Everything was very good. They also have fresh salsas & chilies packaged in a fridge for purchase. I bought the pico de gallo and the tomatillo chile and it was very good. Yes im lazy & I do not like to make my own pico de gallo or chilies. They were $3.99 each.

I come every week. The food is amazing they have a good variety from soup to fish tacos or even enchiladas. The service very welcoming and polite. The ambiance is very touching reminding me of my mothers home town in Mexico. I would recommend the fish tacos they are made with a freshly press tortilla with fried fish and an awesome pico de gallo salsa.

The burritos are great and the staff is friendly! I would recommend! The parking is sometimes crowded but still worth the time.

I will say that I've always been a fan of mobile food trucks as the majority of ones I've been to…read moreover the years have been tacos. However, I had the opportunity trying out one of the more well-known butcher shops to serve San Joaquin County. This is none other than "Fagundes Meats & Catering" which has been a staple in Manteca for decades. Their actual brick-and-mortar location is off of N. Main St/E. Louise Ave in the heart of Manteca while their food truck ventures out to various locations for a variety of community events. In this case, I saw them serving hungry patrons at the Manteca Watermelon Street Fair that took place during the weekend of 6/6/26-6/7/26. To those that know this business already is that they are famous for their tri-tip. In addition to that, they also have other amazing protein options including rib-eye, brisket, pulled pork, Italian sausage, linguica, chicken, and the order I went with, their pork belly. I ended up going with their "Pork Belly Kabobs" and went for the combo deal which included a side (I went with their macaroni salad) and a drink (I opted for a Diet Pepsi). Total price for everything was $17 (which included tax + tip); not bad especially at a public outdoor event. I will say that the pork belly was quite delicious; a little bit on the salty side but nonetheless still a fairly decent portion in each and every bite. I paired it up with their homemade BBQ sauce which had a sweet yet tangy flavor. The macaroni salad was just average for me as it had too much of a vinegar taste while lacking a whole lot of flavor. Overall, I enjoyed this meal as it held me through the majority of the afternoon. I am definitely curious to try their other meats if I end up visiting their actual butcher shop. Overall, the service was excellent considering I was at a busy outdoor event. The line moved quickly while the prices were quite reasonable, even these days where meat prices have become quite outrageous. With that said and done, I am giving the mobile food truck portion of "Fagundes Meats & Catering" an above average four stars. Hopefully I can make a future visit to their butcher shop in the coming months so stay tuned!

The tritip sandwich comes nicely loaded with meat and is a decent bite. I'd be curious to try a…read moretritip order on its own to see if it stands out more. Mac and cheese wasn't at all my cup of tea- too bland for my liking. I've also never had potato salad with black olives in it... That is a "no thank you" for me as well. I'll be back around to try more menu items but for now, I'd say around a 3.5.

A lot of the staff automatically assume you speak Spanish, and it's actually pretty rare to find someone working who speaks English well enough to help. Sometimes it feels like it's inconvenient for the staff when you don't speak Spanish, which shouldn't be the case at all. I also found expired cat food while shopping and placed it to the side thinking someone would remove it, but when I came back two weeks later it was STILL sitting there expired. That was really concerning. Another frustrating change is the checkout process. It used to be convenient being able to buy beans, rice, and groceries all together, but now everything has to be done in separate transactions and separate lines, which just makes shopping take longer for no reason. I still go occasionally when I absolutely have to, but honestly if I find somewhere closer and more welcoming, I'd rather shop there instead.
