My husband had worked just a few weddings with Elizabeth, but remembered her/made a mental note for the future. After the initial inquiry, she sent a sweet video message to us, which immediately shows the level of service and care you're going to get. We went ahead with booking both an engagement shoot and the wedding service. For the engagement photos, Elizabeth helped us narrow down a location based on her extensive experience (we selected a place in Ojai). I was a little nervous, as we're not the most natural in front of the camera, but she was great at directing/posing us when needed and put us at ease. It was also a great way to connect before the wedding day. Leading up to the wedding, she had thorough questionnaires/discussions to make sure she understood what shots were important to us and how to best accommodate them. Shoutout to Bryan, her second shooter for the day, for also being wonderful to work with. Be prepared to have a "difficult" time when selecting your photos as there will be many to choose from! For both sessions, she scheduled time in person for us to review and select the photos we liked and for the printed books we got. All the photos were easily accessible after via a personalized website too.

Im…read moretrying to stay humble and kind but sometimes its tough to do as my business has been impacted directly. I decided to make the best of it and wanted to start a blog. I purchased a camera and my sister and I took our own pictures. Like anything in life, it's all about learning and one thing I felt that was missing was professional level images. I reached out to a local female photographer and we went over ideas and concepts. The shoot went well but I felt like the images still did not meet my expectations. A co-worker had her images done by Robert at Images of Bliss and loved them and said I must reach out. I did a little research before committing and came here to take a look at his reviews. First off, I loved the images! Exactly what I was looking for! One thing that I gathered from all he reviews is that he really enjoys creating art and that he is very professional. So here I am writing a review after my THIRD shoot today! I can say he is one of the most talented photographers out there and that he is incredibly easy to work with! He makes you feel absolutely comfortable and like a model!! He is very patient and so good at posing. I laughed my ass off when he was lying on the ground to show me a pose!!! He never ceased to come up with unique ideas or locations. In fact on todays shoot he said just bring a bunch of wardrobe options and he will find a perfect background. It was sooooo much fun. Like a scavenger hunt! His rates represent his talent but I do need to say that we went over on time on all 3 shoots and he did not charge me any extra. He truly enjoys shooting and I think he can keep going for hours! I do purchase a few images to have retouched but honestly many of the images straight out of the camera are amazing and I like as is! She is so patient with Miguel and knows how to capture him in the moment (I have yet found a photographer who can capture Miguel laughing or smiling in a photo like she has). Personally my experience with mari has been nothing but phenomenal! She keeps in touch and sends me updates about my sessions. I've always came back to her even when there's other photographers in Ventura asking when I'd book with them. (Usually try others once just because of friendship but always find myself booking again with mari consistently) her work has improved over the years, her editing style is something I always loved and obsessed over. Her work isn't just meant to be shown on Instagram but printed and frame to be placed above the fireplace or wall for everyone to see! I picked the diamond package which included a 10-12 min highlighted video, 1 photo album, and two frames. My wedding was in 2021 and I've only received the photos. i had reached out to her idk how many times and once I finally got a response from her she had mentioned she wasn't really doing the package deals. Mind you me and her had spoken about the package I was booking her for. She agreed to it. That's what was on our contract. Thats what I paid her for. its been extremely difficult dealing with her. I'm a very patient and understanding person. I had told her if I didn't receive the additional items I would file small claims. She sent a big paragraph saying I pretty much wouldn't have a case. She said her mom was going to be delivering my additional items. I provided her with my home address and still nothing. I sent her a text message last year with my new phone number and she never responded to me. I also have proof of everything. I definitely regret booking with her. And the quality of the photos were not good at all. I feel like she picks and chooses on how good she does with her clients, and with me was the worst experience.
