Jorge has always been very responsive and was able to come out to give us a quote. Once we were ready, he came out again to finalize the plan and they got started right away. Throughout the project, Jorge has consistently demonstrated professionalism and reassured us that we can ask questions at any time. We wanted our new yard to be low maintenance and simple. Our original yard had DG, lots of plants and we had problems with drainage. He installed pavers that created a pathway to the backyard and carefully leveled the area to ensure proper drainage. I wanted wall to wall pavers and Jorge's color recommendation matches our home nicely! Also, Jorge added two drains in the front yard that have helped us tremendously during rainfalls. He added new irrigation, wired lighting, aluminum bending, two palm trees and new plants to fill in the empty spots I had. I presented my rock design to Jorge in a sketch and he was able to make that come to life. I can honestly say that Jorge's work is absolutely perfect! Jorge and his team were able to finish the job in less than 6 days and I am super satisfied with every aspect of this project. I am looking forward to the day when Jorge can come back to finish our backyard! Thank you!! Rock selection: Apache Brown 3/4" Cinnabar 2-4" Pavers: Dark Gray-Copper-Charcoal

He is friendly and easy to talk to and we discussed what we wanted and he offered some suggestions which we incorporated into our plan. He was quick to get us a written estimate and we said let's go! The first thing we did was take out our front lawn and put in turf. The crew and Arnold arrived on time and made quick work of taking out the grass and preparing the ground for the turf. We learned that it is quite the process but they had it done in 2-3 days and man does it look nice! We get compliments all the time and of course, are saving on our water bill. Win win. In addition he installed mow curbing which pretty reasonable and man does it change the look of the yard! Next we had him change the shape of a slope in the back yard and put in a block wall that has totally changed the look and usability of the yard. We have had neighbors us Arnold to pour cement and were also very thrilled with the work. Many thanks Arnold and his crew!

I hired Justin Vela, Jr. to trim some trees and fix a water leak. He said he was the owner of the…read morecompany and that he was licensed as both a tree trimmer (C-47) and as a plumber (C-36). He and his crew did not perform satisfactorily, so I looked up him up on the Contractor License Board website. Justin Vela, Jr. does NOT have a valid California Contractor License. Justin Vela, Jr. sent me a picture of a truck with purported license #452035. I checked the California Contractor License Board and found that the number corresponds to a roofer in La Mirada that went out of business in 1990. The license number that appears on the invoice sent by Justin Vela, Jr., 0209765 shows "no record" with the State. Pursuant to California Business & Professions Code 7031(b), I requested from Justin Vela, Jr., a full refund due to his unlicensed status. He has yet to pay me. He ignores my texts, phone calls, and emails, thinking I will give up and go away. I will not. Unless he settles with me, I will pursue all lawful remedies to recover my money. A person claiming to own this company called me and disavowed any affiliation with Justin Vela, Jr. However, I obtained from him the purported license number quoted above. This person threatened to call his lawyer. I advised her that I have a law degree and am a retired attorney and that I will not be threatened to bullied by anyone.

El's Landscaping is AMAZING! In fact, you can stop reading this review right now and just hire…read morethem! From my very first phone conversation with Emmanuel, I knew I had found the right company for my yard renovation project. That instinct turned out to be absolutely correct. Every aspect of the project was completed with exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship. Emmanuel is, without question, one of the most professional, personable, collaborative, and talented contractors I have ever worked with. Throughout the entire project, he communicated with me daily to make sure every detail was being completed exactly as I envisioned and to my complete satisfaction. He also was on-site most days to be sure that everything was being done correctly. What really impressed me was even before I signed a contract, he was committed to helping me make informed decisions. He brought samples of artificial turf, ground cover, and paver options for me to review, making the design process easy and enjoyable. His proposal was thoroughly itemized, so I knew exactly what was included and exactly what the project would cost. Even better, the final invoice matched the agreed-upon price to the penny--no surprises, no hidden charges. The entire El's Landscaping crew was outstanding. They were friendly, professional, hardworking, and incredibly respectful of my property. At the end of each workday, they cleaned up thoroughly and left everything neat and orderly. That level of care and professionalism is rare and greatly appreciated. The finished project exceeded my expectations, and I couldn't be happier with the results. So once again, my advice is simple: Hire El's Landscaping. If you do, I am confident you'll be just as thrilled with the experience and the results as I am. FIVE STARS AREN'T ENOUGH! (The photos only show one part of the whole project, but you can see what an awesome job they did with the turf around my putting green and the new pathway and circular area for my bistro table and chairs.)
