We have been with this program for a number of years, bundling home and auto. Yes, the rates keep going up each year, which is to be expected. Last year seemed on the excessive side, but I let it roll. Today I realized that they are proposing a 71% increase in our premium for 2026 to 2027. What?! We are mature adult drivers with less than 10,000 annual miles of driving. My husband had a recent minor accident, but I don't believe that has even entered into the calculation for the new premium. There was no damage to the other car, very minimal damage to ours, and no injuries. No tickets or other accidents on record. 71%? What I see online is other consumers reporting that their rates were going up 45 to 50% in a number of cases. Once they shopped other providers, they were able to get much better deals. I sure hope that will be the case when our agent shops options for us. Just on general principal, I want to get away from Hartford as soon as possible! It's a good thing our renewal time is almost here, and we will be moving on away from them. Their partnering with AARP to save older drivers money seems to have turned into a bad joke, bordering on a scam.

I called customer care and was told I had to download a form to put in the request for help! I had limited cellular service. Therefore I was unable to download the form to ask for help! The customer care person said that they weren't able to put in the service call for me. Fortunately a passer by pulled over and helped me charge the tire. And fortunately the person was a good person and did not have ill intentions. No longer a 5 star company focused on customer care and safety; they are unwilling to live up the their claims of Road Side Assistance .

My license doesn't actually expire for a few more months but fall is going to be a nightmare for me so I figured I'd be proactive and get this over with while I still had a little extra time in the day. Brought all of my documents for the new verified licenses at 10am on a Wednesday and was seen almost immediately. My IDs were scanned and I was given a number to sit and wait. I waited for less than 10 minutes before I signed the docs for a new license and had my picture taken. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the space itself is clean, open, and comfortable. A complete win all around.

The letter I received from the Bank stated I needed to carry a certain amount of coverage before they would approve the loan. I had a suspicion that I did not need it, but had to expedite the process...and John was there every step of the way. John contacted FEMA, got from them what I needed and instructed me on what I needed to do. Not only did he help with that, he was also experienced enough to know that what the Bank was telling me I needed was false. Furthermore, he contacted both the bank and FEMA again for me to allow me to focus at my job, while all of this detail was being handled in the background. John is experienced, friendly, and is a top of the line insurance agent. He goes above and beyond for people, and has a very calming and reassuring tone to his voice when speaking with you. He will follow-through in what he says he will do, and even go beyond that without you asking. His office team is friendly and courteous, and will assist you when John is helping other clients. They are experienced, and they know what they are doing as well. I would recommend John's agency over any other State Farm agency for this very reason.
