We had a candidate withdraw their acceptance of their new job, and so we informed Sam a month in advance that we no longer needed his services. He let us know that he "cannot issue refunds" even when work is not rendered. This was written nowhere on the invoice he sent us. Upon review of his website, I see it is buried in his terms and conditions page. Why someone would choose to do business this way, I have no idea. I could not in good conscience take my customers' money and then refuse to refund it even if I performed no work. Sam feels differently.

He was really thoughtful in sending us sample galleries from weddings that were similar in venue and style to what we were planning. He was great at communicating about details prior to the wedding, even scouting out potential alternate locations when the forecast showed a chance of rain. On the day itself, James was wonderful. He provided just the right amount of direction while putting everyone at ease and getting a great array of candid shots and special moments. During the shoot, we didn't feel rushed at all, and Heather took the time to get multiple shots in multiple poses, and allowed time for feeding. She had everything we might possibly need from props and backgrounds to even the simple things you might not think of, like a heating pad to put under where our son was lying. However, perhaps even more important than the end results was the way she handled our son. He was only 5 days old when we had the photo shoot, and I was particularly impressed with the gentleness, patience and grace with which Heather handled and positioned him and worked with him.
