WOW!!!!! That's the first thing that comes to mind when I think about Maria! I found Maria and reached out because I loved the chic and modern style that she does for photography. She was super responsive and very helpful when we were deciding a good time to get our newborn photos taken. The price point was a little out of our budget but I will say it was worth EVERY penny and I'm so happy we splurged and made it happen! The minute we got to Maria's house, although we had just fed our 2 week old baby, she knew exactly by her cry that she was hungry again. We had done our newborn and cake smash photography for our first child with another lovely photographer but unfortunately she closed up shop. She highly recommended Maria with A La Mode Photography to us and seeing as how we trust her professional opinion, we signed up immediately for our twins' 1 year cake smash photos. I contacted Maria through email and she was extremely easy to reach and communicate with. She understood and respected my ideas while giving me opinions of her own (which I'm so glad we went with!) Her prices are reasonable (less than a lot of other photography companies) and include the fancy cake prices and outfits. Which by the way, the baker she uses makes super cute cakes!! Maria handled all of the set up too, so I didn't have to worry about anything more than getting the kids there. She has an amazing assortment of super beautiful clothing from infants to toddlers (she even had a beautiful dress for my 3 yr old) as well as matching accessories and backgrounds. I love her girly, whimsical aesthetic! On the day of the photo shoot we arrived after their nap, which was nice how flexible Maria was on timing. The room she uses has beautiful lighting and the outdoor space she has is gorgeous as well! Maria was open to incorporating a prop we brought ourselves and also making time for family photos. Unfortunately two 1 year olds and one 3 year old make a rowdy bunch and the kids were all pretty fussy. Maria was extremely patient with them, giving them space but also making sure she got the right shots. She has such a natural way with children and calming presence. I usually don't write the reviews, but this time, I couldn't stay quiet. I had to share my experience with Maria and her A La Mode Photography. To start, we didn't arrange for the photo shoot in advance (as we should have) and seeing that our son was born during the busiest/holiday season (Nov-Dec) we didn't expect to get our session until later. However, Maria went above and beyond to accommodate us, and we got a time slot, despite the scheduling difficulties. The session itself was wonderful, Maria is a warm and pleasant person and working with her was great. Moreover, she has a way with little ones and even at an age of 2 weeks, our little one complied with the prosses of the session.
