We had wanted to sit in the sand but the restaurant is overrun by aggressive peddlers trying to sell pearl bracelets to you. The staff does nothing to help so we ended up sitting inside to avoid them. The menu is Filipino and full of favorites. We ended up getting the adobo calamari, prawn sinigang and grilled mackarel. The mackarel was a bit burnt which was disappointing and the adobo calamari chewy. The sinigang was pretty good however. Service was very slow and the restaurant sticky. The bathrooms were squalid and had no handsoap at all (it didn't even look like they ran out...just like it never existed) which only made the whole experience worse. This is one of the most popular spots in El Nido Town which makes me question everyone's travelling preferences. So glad this was a quick visit and we ended up staying in Sibaltan instead!

So if you really want to give them a try, make a reservation on their website. The inside is very nice and there's multiple AC units so it's a great break from the mugginess outside. Pineapple Express: On paper, this sounded pretty good. But in reality, we were half joking and half worried, that if we were to get food poisoning from anything, it would be this. The texture and taste of the fish was like something that's been sitting out for too long. Grilled Cabbage with Miso: I didn't think grilling vegetables could be messed up but this was hard to eat. It was like the cabbage wasn't thoroughly cooked and the miso flavor was very surface-level. So each bite, you'd just taste some bland cabbage with barely any miso. We were at least hoping for that chargrilled taste but there was none of that. Crab Fat Ravioli: Now this was pretty good and I was cleaning the plate. But I personally like all those crab guts and the bitterness that comes with it. The ravioli itself is just crab meat but with the sauce, you're truly tasting what an entire crab would taste like. Pulpo Adobo: For the price, it's kind of small since you only get one tentacle but it's very tender. This is one of their Filipino-inspired seafood dish and the adobo sauce is actually with squid ink! This was well done and I was also cleaning the plate at the end. We decided to eat family-style and with everything split, our experience with the good wasn't enough to save the bad. We also ordered some of their alcoholic drinks with pandan but it tasted really weird. Moreover, the prices are unusually high for El Nido. I guess they're trying for the upscale vibe but I think they need to work on bringing the food up to those standards before charging at those prices. What else, wellington was OK but we would have been happy with a more local beef rendition. The restaurant itself is really cosy and has a welcoming atmosphere and the staff is fantastic. Onto the review! This place has no frills and if you can get in (I would suggest any time after 7:30pm), then do it! They've got pizza and pasta, what more could you ask for? Everyone in the restaurant ordered their own individual pizzas... this is not a place for individual pizzas, lmao. It's a pretty decently sized pizza, so I would strongly suggest sharing -- worst case scenario, you could always order another pizza! But I saw too many people leaving leftover pizza and while some people did take their leftovers back to their hotels ... it just doesn't hit the same. So definitely order a pie to share! We got the Pizza Bianca and as someone who loves tomato based pizzas, this white pizza was pretty good!! The brick-oven pizza was super flavorful and welcome after a whole day of island hopping!
