Rib eye steak, asparagus and mashed potato.
    Darien M.

Had a nice dinner here last night. We choose the main dining room instead of the rooftop because it was around 5:30 pm and the weather was turning windy and cold. They graciously closed the open windows as the sun set and the temperature dropped. Service was attentive throughout. I especially love when a waiter can refill my wine glass and not spill a drop. I ordered the risotto with saffron and chicken and asparagus. The risotto and asparagus were cooked perfectly and I was pleased that it was all white breast of chicken, cut into chunks and perfectly moist. The dish did not have any discernible saffron however, nor was it colored yellow as it would be, but nonetheless I ate it all. Others at my table loved their Caesar salad and their several pizzas. One guest had rib eye, which she had ordered medium rare but it was delivered medium well. She said it was delicious anyway and the mashed potato accompaniment was excellent, too. They should work on the little issues to get that extra star!

Ate here on a very brisk Sunday evening on their rooftop seating area. Nice dining area to look over city and a nice music trio to listen to as you dined. We started the meal with red wine, gin and tonic, and an order of fried calamari. Great wine selection and top shelf liquors for drinks. The calamari arrived quickly and was very good. It was a perfect crisp with a nice marinara sauce. They also served a good olive tapenade with fresh bread. I ordered the chicken Marsala and it was delicious. Creamy wine sauce with sautéed mushrooms. My wife got the shrimp and risotto that she liked. Our friend ordered the chicken piccata which she ended up sending back. A rolled up breast with no sauce or capers. Never have seen piccata like this. She ended up with a margherita pizza that was good. We ended the meal with coffee and sharing a good tiramisu dessert.

It was ok... while the rooftop was wonderful it just wasnt quite good enough to want to go again. The group only tried the pizzia so there maybe other dishes that are tastier. The service was decent for the late night snd crowd. We did get to witness an engagement party with the largest bouquet of flowers we have ever seen, and a 10 piece mariachi band! Quite a mexican experience at an Italian restaurant! Overall not too bad!

First night in Oaxaca and we were pleasantly surprised to find this Italian restaurant with options for everyone in the family. The Ceasar salad was really yummy and fresh .. Lasagna disappeared minutes after being placed on the table and the pizza was really great too! Hubby enjoyed the Margarita while I delighted in some of their house Tempranillo. The staff was very attentive friendly and we felt very safe and comfortable enjoying a meal during this Covid time. Highly recommended.

Great pizza place. Sat up in the terrace, enjoyed the view of Santo Domingo, while sipping on some delicious Lambrusco wine. We had pasta and pizza, great amount for two. It's a little pricey for Oaxaca, but well worth the splurge. The pizza is very good.

Hands down! This is the best pizza in Santo Domingo Center. The pasta dishes are also delicious. If you would like to view the city, I recommend to eat on the roof. To all visitors please don't pass this place up. I honesty got tired of eating the traditional Oaxacan dishes in one day..lol

Food and service were great. Windy and cold in rooftop but very nice view. Would suggest bringing a shawl if dining in evening.

I tried the pizza during my first visit…read more This time, I opted for the pasta. My boyfriend ordered the four cheese pasta and I got the arrabiata. The four cheese was extremely bland. The only flavor that it had was "stinky feet." The arrabiata was also bland. It just tasted like tomatoes. It was supposed to have onions and chiles too, but it didn't really taste like it. When I've had arrabiata at other restaurants it's usually a little spicy. I was extremely disappointed. Also, the bread that they served us before the meal tasted like it was stale and freezer burned (at the same time). Additionally, there was mold in the bowl of parmesan that they gave me for my pasta. I didn't notice until after I was almost finished (and I had used a lot of parmesan to try to add flavor). I'm really underwhelmed. The pasta ranged from mediocre to bad and the service was extremely slow. Even though this place is very close to my apartment, I will not be back. I will go to the other Italian place (a block away) or I will dump some Prego on some noodles and it'll be more flavorful.

We ordered two glasses of wine, a Mista salad and a medium size pizza with mushrooms and chorizo. We were told the small pizza wasn't enough for 2 people. The salad was served with fresh from the oven bread and two salsas, one was a not too spicy pesto, the other fiery hot red chilies. The vegetables in the salad were fresh as could be and the bread was tasty, but we only took a bite as we were waiting for a pizza after all. The pizza, which was larger than we anticipated, was bubbling hot, the crust was tasty, thin and crisp. The cheese, sauce and toppings made for a delicious pie, but with the addition of some of the pesto salsa it was a home run. It just proved to be too much pizza for us and we were able to finish only half of it. We suspect the small pizza would have been just right. Bottom line, we highly recommend this cozy place if you're looking for a great pizza and fresh salad.

The service was slow, which we forgave because we showed up right after a big family, but that didn't really excuse the dirty plates. Also, our food came out in this order: my husband's dinner, appetizers, my dinner, forks. We had to put an extra plate over his food to keep it warm while we waited for him to get a fork to eat it with. I love the food in Oaxaca, but after more than a week of mole and cheese, I thought it might be nice to take a little break. I came here because I saw the delicious-looking shrimp pasta in someone else's yelp review. Attached is a picture of my shrimp pasta. There was about a quarter-inch of tomato water at the bottom of what I thought was going to be a garlic and oil-based sauce. Very bland and watery. But I probably would have let all of that slide (kind of my fault for trying to get Italian food in Oaxaca) if my husband and I both hadn't woken up around midnight after our meal to struggle in the bathroom. I'll spare you the details, but it was no fun. I'm kicking myself--the first time I got sick visiting Mexico, and it was because I tried to find some American-style comfort food. Whoops! The rooftop was nice, and the wine was good, but I won't make this mistake again.
