This is a visually appealing restaurant on a busy street corner. My wife and I have spent some time in Turkey, so we have informed views about food presentation and quality. This venue is okay, but not in the same league as some of the places we have frequented in the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul. Perhaps it is unreasonable to think that it would be.
We ordered a selection of mezzes, which were pretty good. The dessert that my wife ordered, kanafeh, was the best selection of the evening. I also had a glass of wine, while she drank tea.
I would certainly come back here for the food selection, but not at dinner time. The main issue we had was the tardy service. The restaurant seemed understaffed in the kitchen, which is visible from the eating area. We were told there was only one chef that night for a busy enterprise. In those circumstances, the waiters need to come by now and then anyhow to let patrons know what is happening. Everyone was pleasant, but not enough staff were on deck. Price is median.
We walked from our nearby apartment rental. Street parking might be a challenge, but there is a tube entrance a block away. read more
