We contracted w/Meyers Screens Inc. (in Groveland) to install Bulldog leaf guards over our gutters in March. The owners, Terry & Charity came out and gave us an estimate of $800 for 240' of installed guards. We agreed and they were installed on 3/12. After the installation, we noticed a few pieces left on the roof so my husband went on the roof to remove the pieces. He noticed numerous sections that were not attached to the gutters properly, at least one foot section was not even covered and several sections that had significant gaps in them. We called them to report the concerns on 3/16, spoke to Charity and sent her pictures and she said she would send someone out to review. At that point we measured the installed areas ourselves and came up with 190 feet of gutters where they had installed the guards which is a difference of 50 feet less then the original estimate. On 3/17, an installer came out for a brief period and after they left we did not see any work that was performed, the guards looked the same. We contacted them again on 3/22 requesting repairs and was told someone would be out that week, no one arrived during that week. We texted Terry on 3/29 and he said someone would be out that week. An installer arrived on 4/2 and spent close to four hours re-doing the work properly. We spoke to Charity on 4/6 and shared that we are finally satisfied with the work but they had only installed 190 feet of guards, not 240 feet. She stated the estimate was for 240 feet and couldn't be changed and we should have brought that to her attention before the install. We also sent them the architectural roof drawings but she refused to amend the cost so we paid for 240 feet of guards but only had 190 feet installed. Before the install, we had no reason to question the measurements but upon seeing the shoddy work, we became suspicious.
Since a relative had previously used them and I noticed their website showed they were BBB accredited with an A+, I didn't check the BBB site. After installation I checked the BBB. Not only aren't they accredited, but they have a D- read more
