this is the second time Metropolitan has come out and repaired a system, when other contractors had told us the entire air-conditioning system would need to be replaced. This time the repair saved thousands of dollars. These guys are punctual, honest and are adapt at keeping a system going without just saying everything needs to be replaced. We will definitely use them again. read more

We called Metropolitan Air through our home warranty because our AC wasn't working right. Adam came out quickly telling us directly that the system needed to be replaced but never mentioning that he thought it was a preexisting condition. His report did note that the system needed replacing, but he also added that it was a "preexisting condition," which caught us completely off guard since the AC had been working fine just a week earlier. That claim would have voided our home warranty coverage entirely. There's no way he could have determined it was preexisting from a single visit, and thankfully we were able to prove the AC had been working properly beforehand. His "preexisting condition" note delayed our AC repair by more than three weeks during two of the hottest heat waves in Southern California history. If Adam or any of their techs come to service your unit, get a copy of the inspection report before they leave. Once they're gone, it's nearly impossible to reach anyone. read more

One word about this business - ADAM - ask for Adam! He is the best! He is kind, courteous and very knowledgeable. He helped us with our air conditioner in the middle of summer. He was our savior! Not only did he help us, but he helped my elderly parents as well and was just as kind and helpful to them. Highly recommend! read more

This is about how you can expect service with them to go/ Awesome at first tech showed up same day but late -ran through our property, found our unit frozen, rushed to turn off and turn on the fan- did not check the unit or connections from the ground into the unit in the ceiling- about 2 hours later the lack of thorough evaluation resulted in damage to the walls and electrical system in one of our rooms thanks to melted water leaking through. We followed up via text today- and once we implied that had some potential liability here instead of handling it professionally or at all in fact they told our home warranty that they were now, post mess refusing the order and transferring to someone else. Main line- no answer either! 12 hours later no one wanted to deal it with! Unfortunate for sure read more

Adam of Metropolitan has serviced my AC unit in the past month, he is excellent and very professional technician. He identified the fault and repaired within minutes as he had spare parts with him in his van. I am very happy with Metropolitan and ready to refer to anyone. read more

During the very hot and humid Friday night, my air conditioning stopped working. I contacted AHS Saturday morning and they assigned it to Metropolitan Heating and Air Conditioning. I was amazing that Adam from Metropolitan contacted at the end of the same day, Saturday, and was able to come over to my house to fix my air conditioning system. Adam was very precise and accurate on his assessment. In addition, it was the end of a busy Saturday and he provided outstanding customer service with a positive attitude. That is not very common in this type of service industry. I highly recommend Metropolitan Heating and Air Conditioning. read more

TERRIBLE !!! The worst customer service¡. I didn't even chose them!! My Ac wasn't cooling properly, I requested an inspection through our house warranty and unfortunately this is the company they work with. After paying $125.00 their technician came, took a look and left after taking the remaining FRYON with him!!! As a result our AC is out, turning it on gave us 91 degrees!!. I contacted them and the owner just yelled at me and promised to send someone and it never happened. Here we are, with the worst heatwave of the season and they killed our AC!! Run from them!! WORST COMPANY EVER!! read more

Excellent! Our air conditioner stopped working. Adam and the entire crew, Mo, Naz and Jorge and are amazing! We ended up replacing our system and they did the work in this hot weather in one day! It's perfect! It's a family run business and I will only use them, they are SO knowledgeable and honest! They even installed our new nest thermometer for no charge. Such a sweet group of people! read more

Terrible experience even before I could get them to come out for servicing. Couldn't even get a date scheduled with them because they supposedly need to figure out their own schedule right now which is what I was told. What does that even mean? They then stopped answering my texts and calls because they're screening my number. Ended up calling AHS insurance to transfer to a different contractor. I have a feeling this place doesn't want to work with insurance related calls and would rather give preference to cash clients. Told AHS to stop working with them. Can't imagine having this company try to fix anything. Yikes! read more

Request was made through my warranty company and they sent me this company. Started out fine same day visit. Cleaned out the a/c unit and was told it's fine. Ran the unit and still leaked. Company came out 2 days later; looked at the unit checked measured area said coils were bad causing leak and needed to contact warranty company. Two weeks later no contact was made with warranty company. Temp here is 110 in so ca. and I'm a senior. Warranty company tried calling company to no avail; they are not answering the phone. Very disappointed in this company with lack of communication. read more

Our AC motor fan had stopped working during a heatwave this week and after calling to make an appointment, I was pleasantly surprised that Adam arrived 20 min later to inspect the issue. Thankfully it was just a burnt wire, and he had fully repaired the unit and was in and out in under 30 min. Metropolitan is a very honest family owned company that we always trust to diagnose and repair HVAC issues without asking for unnecessary extra expenses. Adam was also incredibly friendly and gracious and he even pet my dogs. Really appreciated the amazing customer service and would highly recommend! read more

Something is sketchy with this company. They came out to evaluate my AC unit for American Home Shield Warranty. The tech Adam seemed like a nice guy and after he was done he told me the unit is rusted due to age- the AC unit is 29 years old and it needs to be replaced. But then the warranty company denied the claim saying the unit had "not normal wear and tear" due to sprinklers. It took me 2 weeks to get the tech's report (after constant phone calls) so I could see for myself, and his report said nothing about the age of the unit, nothing about the unit being beyond it's expected lifetime, but only mentioned that a "current or previous sprinkler system may have caused the rust". This is very different than what he told me in person. And there are no sprinklers on the side of the house. I have been trying for 3 weeks now to just talk to Adam to ask him if he agrees with the Warranty company that the AC has "not normal wear and tear" since this is not what he told me when he was here. The lady who answers the phone always asks me why I want to talk to Adam and then after I explain she says he is not available. I have left him multiple phone messages and emails (and her suggestion), but he is obviously avoiding me. So I suspect he knows his report is not accurate and it was manipulated to help the warranty company. I see other reviews that mention the exact same thing. read more

Adam is the Man! ask for him and you will be blown away by his professionalism. No upselling. Fix whats needed. reached out this business via AHS warranty and Adam has been fantastic. He worked around his schedule while he was in my area to fix the issue under 5 mins (fuse + capacitor replacement) while others would have made u wait for days / weeks. Recommend them! read more

Tech came out, said there was a leak, said we needed new unit, as it is an older unit and having some degradation. Tried to blame it on sprinklers but there have been pavers there and no grass or sprinklers for 15+ years and the unit had been working fine well after that. Typical scam between insurance and providers to get the service fee and deny coverage. Would not use again given this situation. read more

Excellent service. Adam was the absolute best! I had low expectations because usually the people that are referred out through American Home shield are useless but wow was I impressed. Adam was professional and knowledgeable. He was fast, to the point, polite and got the repair done the same day. In this blistering heat I couldn't be more grateful for him getting it done so fast. Thanks Adam. read more

My AC decided to break in the middle of the hot summer. I requested an AC check-up through AHS Saturday night, and then Metropolitan Heat and AC called me immediately and checked my AC on Monday afternoon. Adam and Mo were very punctual and professional. Adam diagnosed my AC on the spot. My AC condenser is broken and needs to be replaced. After one week, AHS approved their estimate and started the repair. Nas, Mo, Nas's brother, and another guy were at my place earlier than expected to replace the broken AC condenser. They were all professional and knowledgeable. My AC is now up and running. I am satisfied with their workmanship. They saved me from the hot summer. Thank you to all the crew, including Chuck and Anna, who always answer my calls and give me updates. read more

I have been using Metropolitan Heating and Air for over 4 years now for my AC and heating repair / maintainence. These guys are super trustworthy and reliable. They always show up on time and promptly when i have an issue. One thing that really stands out is that their prices are very reasonable and they never sell me on something i don't need. A few years back, i was told by other companies that I would need a new A/C and when Metropolitan came out, they just fixed a control board in my system and the whole thing cost a fraction of the cost of a new A/C. Highly recommended! read more

I am updating my review back to 5 stars! Adam reached back out to me and ordered a replacement condenser top that was damaged by Nas. They covered the cost of the replacement top and installed per the OEM specs. He was very apologetic for the delayed follow up and did a great job replacing the condenser top. Adam has 100% restored my faith in this company's commitment to providing quality work and customer service. Metropolitan Heating and Air is an honest company that I would reccomend to anyone. Just make sure to ask for Adam. He will make sure your taken care of! read more

Initially, I was worried about this company coming out through my home warranty. However, I had a phenomenal experience. After receiving an initial consult, my home warranty wanted a second opinion on the issue I was experiencing. Adam and the other tech (forgot his name) were timely, professional, and honest. They were able to diagnose the issue and fix the issue in less than an hour. I can't say enough good things about Adam. Highly recommend! read more

I highly recommend this company. The motor on my A/C unit went out. It was making an awful noise and the technician knew instantly what it was. They have a great system to keep you updated on the arrival time. Adam was prompt, polite, fast and extremely helpful. He went above and beyond! read more

Nas was just unprofessional and unwilling to do his job. He left and nothing was done. He doesn't believe me when I say it's broken ‍ so I had to hire another company to come fix it after him. Also, if Nas is your technician, be sure to CLEAN UP YOUR HOUSE beforehand or he will JUDGE you. Oh by the way, Starlight HVAC was the company I hired after Nas, my technician immediately found the issue in the attic and fixed it. Nas didn't even go up in the attic, even after I brought my ladder for him. Nas said he hears some sounds so it's working and left. Anyway, I'm getting my money back from Metropolitan, Nas wasted a trip and his company didn't get paid. On the other hand, Sebastian from Starlight HVAC was amazing! Be sure to call Starlight with your a/c and heater problems! read more

Had a technician out sent by my home warranty. The technician was nice and said I need a new unit and that my home warranty covered it. Then my home warranty called and said not covered. They told me the reason was the ac company told them it was preexisting. I called this company to figure out how they determined how long the unit has been leaking. They could not give me an answer just told me to email any questions even though I was in the phone with them. I said since I paid 125 can I at least have an estimate she said sure. It's been a month and no estimate and no reasoning behind the preexisting diagnostic. Which I have called 3 other A/C companies and they all said there is now way to tell. Which they clearly didn't want to say. They are likely told by the warranty company to say certain things to keep using them. That is sad read more

FRAUD. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Went through warranty company and was assigned them and they just come out take a look for 10-15 minutes and call it a exiting condition... STAY AWAY FROM THIS FRAUD OF A COMPANY. I would give this negative stars if I can... Worst EVER!!! read more

I woke up, my house freezing my heater was not working. I called Metropolitan heating and Ac because they are close. I was lucky for many reasons, one of them they were able to send me help same day and the person who came to fix my heater knew exactly what to do and fixed the issue in no time. Adam was pleasant, respectful and explained the issue to me. I am so glad I made that call and yes I will be using them again and I would recommend their service to all my friends and family. I was expecting a large bill but luckily what he charged me was very reasonable! Thank you Metropolitan for your service. read more

I contacted this company who was referred by someone. The first company I contacted a few days ago did not fix the AC problem and was extremely rude....I spoke with "Chuck" from Metropolitan heating and AC, who was very kind and professional . I explained to him that my daughter's AC has not been working for several days and I needed assistance ASAP (this was during the heatwave last week). Chuck was able to squeeze me in the following morning. Adam arrived and was the nicest, kindest and most professional HVAC tech I've ever met,...he located the issue immediately and replaced and installed a brand new thermostat and checked the system out to make sure everything worked properly... AC works like a charm!. I will use Metropolitan Heating and AC for now on. I highly recommend them, asked for Adam!! read more

Began service last year - said they needed to order part - multiple calls back yielded no results. Use anyone but this company

I'll try to keep this short and simple, to the point. And take this for what it is. These guys were assigned as my contractors through American home shield. I have had nothing but bad experiences with AHS, however, this company was awesome. In specific, Adam. I had to have him out a few times, none of which was his fault. I have an old system and he diagnosed it immediately and identified the issues. Some he was able to fix right away, and some were delayed due to parts on order through AHS. Adam was extremely professional, courteous and understanding. Whenever anyone contacts an AC tech, it's never an ideal time... we are uncomfortable, miserable and hot... these guys were understanding and went above and beyond to make the needed repairs. My only complaint would be that AHS didn't cover the charge for new coolant and that one was a hefty pill to swallow. In the end, I would recommend them. If you can, try to request Adam. Great technician, as many others on here have mentioned. I'll add another recommendation to the list. Thanks again Adam! read more

Adam was sent out through our Home Warranty Insurance company after an experience with Starlight, a scammer of a company, who misdiagnosed our heating problem & wanted to charge us separately for a problem that did not exist.
