The most dangerous part of this is they never asked my medical history. I never filled out anything except for my personal info. They did not know if I was taking any medications or my allergies. That alone is a huge RED FLAG. Forget about calling them, you will never speak to a person but a computer. Also they have just few MD's and plenty of PA's. The reason for it is all about their bottom line. They should call themselves medical office!

First time she just ignored it, addressing a separate problem, and when I mentioned that I had come about the cyst too, got a simple shrug. Second time went to her because she is who I was sent by a GP and she had such good reviews and I thought perhaps because I was really there for other issue that first time I would get better results with a second visit. This time Dr. Rabner went into a long, medical explanation this about why NOTHING could be done even asking, "well what's bothering you?" My response, "having an open sore on my head doctor!" launched her into a steroid treatment that time. (Third visit with her was also about another issue she didn't fix, but I was sure to mention the sore again and have it ignored again) Her response should have been to explain at first visit, over a decade back, that dermatologists don't do removals from the scalp, which is what another dermatologist finally told me, referring me to a surgeon who did the initial cyst removal in his office less than a week after my first visit with him. If that had happened 10 years prior I would've avoided cancer, anesthesia, a skin graft, and a permanent bald patch and dent in my head. Do NOT trust this doctor.

When I finally got an appointment to come in (that wasn't canceled), I waited awhile in the waiting area to see the dermatologist. The receptionist was nice and friendly however I did notice she was calling a lot of clients to cancel their appointments and then reschedule them. The interior of the place is nicely decorated with chic decor and chill music playing. I notice some of the other staff weren't as friendly or welcoming towards me which is disappointing as a new client. When I finally met with the dermatologist and her assistant, they definitely rushed through the consultation and didn't spend enough adequate time to truly listen to my concerns. I suspect they were in a rush since she they were dealing with another patient in another room. I wish they could have really listened to my concerns and made me feel more seen as a patient. I did get some skincare samples which was alright. Overall, it's not worth going to Vital Aesthetics especially if you have any dermatological concerns. I will DEFINITELY look for a new dermatology office and won't be coming back to this place since my experience with them was lackluster, frustrating and unimpressive. The place is so disorganized and messy especially when it comes to scheduling appointments. This place is not worth the time or money at all.

I needed a doctor who specializes in the treatment of African skin, which easily scars and hyperpigments. A few customers in my hair braider's shop recommended her. Dr. Downie successfully treated my melasma because I have not since had a recurrence. Dr. Downie is both my medical and cosmetic dermatologist. Even though I have an appointment, I didn't know my school needed a full physical exam, so they clinic had to do an unscheduled physical exam, which they normally don't do. So I appreciated that. Total time: 2 hours Second appointment: I arrived 15 mins early for a follow up. I agree with the other reviews below about the front desk's attitude. Both times I said hi after coming through the door, neither of the front desk girls said hello. No one said to have a seat, to sign in or to fill out any form. First time, I put my name on the sign in list and I knew I was a new patient so I started filling out a new patient form (because like I said, no one was even acknowledging my presence). Boy, that's got the girl UNHAPPY that I was jumping the gun. Well excuse me for doing what I was supposed to do. Second time, no "hello" but at least I got a "thank you" for the co-pay. I used to work in a doctors office so I know what's up, and I also know it's tough if you're real busy and ppl don't treat you right. So, I forgive them, but I'm giving them a low review still because the massive amount of attitude they hand out to other patients. Surprisingly, when I was in with Dr. Schmalz and his assistant, they tried really hard to accommodate my unscheduled physical exam and took care of everything. I was amazed and felt very "loved." There was no rushing or rudeness. The doctor and the nurse seemed to know each other for a long time so between themselves there's a type of communication that would take a stranger some getting-used-to. Between themselves, they're gonna sound like they're mad at you for just being there, but they really are not because when they talk to you, they're really nice. So, don't be intimidated. If you want to use this clinic, I highly recommend coming in earlier in the day.

I…read morehave been a patient of Megan and always found her to be a thorough and professional provider. I've had some recent concerns and called the office to schedule an appointment with Dr. Downie as she had closer availability. I received TWO text message confirmations for my appointment prior to and one email confirmation ( all attached below). I arrived to my appointment today and was told they " couldn't find my appointment", that I could be seen however there were 6 people ahead of me which would result in over an hour and a half wait before I was seen. I expressed to the office that while I anticipated a wait, 1.5 hours was well beyond an acceptable wait time. I am an understanding person and have no problem waiting 30 minutes beyond my appointment time, even 45 minutes if there is an emergency however, 1.5 hours is nothing but a reflection of poor office management. Additionally, as my appointment was confirmed but somehow not coming up in the system, I asked for reasonable accommodations from the office. I did everything correct as a patient : I confined my appointment, I arrived early to my appointment and remained respectful in communicating my concerns. I requested, as the error was on the office and not myself, to be seen later today at 3:30. Again, reasonable accommodation request considering I showed the office proof that my appointment was confined by their system. The only options provided to me were to see Megan on another day and time or to see Dr. Downie during her next open appointment which was at 5:00 pm today. When I expressed that 5pm didn't not work as I needed to head to work that time, I was offered to come at my requested 3:30pm time and wait 1.5 hours to be seen... so still 5:00pm. Very unprofessional and quite frankly rude. I'm not sure about this office, but I'm sure in business and healthcare, when a error is made by the practice, it is then their responsibility to fix the error without additional inconvenience to the patron. Late appointments are cancelled and cancelled appointments result in a $100 fee so there is a communicated expectation of respecting the doctors time, however this same expectation of respect for time is not given to patients. I gave this dermatologist office two stars purely for Megan, however this practice has lost me and my future additional referrals as a client.

Usually when I go to a doctors office it becomes a hurry up and wait game; but that has not been my experience with image dermatology. They're very thorough but they try hard to get you in and out. I Recently had an emergency appointment for a skin problem that I am having. Although she was done for the day, after explaining the issue, Dr. Downie called me back and asked me to come in and that she would wait for me. I ran out of one of my prescriptions early November and when I tried to call to make an appointment, I was hung up on the first time and then told I wouldn't be able to see any doctor until the 28th of the month, three weeks later, which absolutely floored me. So, I figured I would wait and see if I didn't break out since I've been good for a long time. Nope! I called to make an appointment and was, hung up on again. Apparently the ladies behind the desk really hate answering the phones, and being professional... it is something they lack. But finally I scheduled an appointment for the next day and was assisted by my doctor. My 3 stars are for the wonderful doctors who do great work and are educated, they know how to help and have accurate information. My lack of 2 stars (which I really should make 3) goes to the employees who have terrible structure and operations. I have always got attitude either on the phone or in person and I really don't know why. But just know, they are the opposite of pleasant! Doctors, wonderful. Especially Dr. Mina, and Dr. Dabella
