My dad was too embarrassed to take it back so I offer to do it for him. I go in a couple days after a holiday. The stores return policies 30 days because of the holiday they were closed for 3 of those 30 days. I came in on day 31 they refused to refund, even though everything was intact. I had my receipt, nothing had been used. I could hear the clerk on the phone with the manager made it sound like they had ordered this thing by mistake unloaded it on my poor unsuspecting, father and then weren't willing to get stuck with it again. Entire experience was very disappointing.

What instrument? What size of that instrument? Do instruments even come in different sizes...?!? How much does that cost? Do you rent or buy? If it doesn't work out, do we give it back? All of these questions and more were answered when we walked into REW a couple nights later! Oh, boy, and we weren't alone! I think just about every music-inspired kiddo from a tri-state area was there getting fitted and equipped with their instruments. But, the folks at REW were ready! They were amply staffed, and the team (yes, "TEAM") of folks who answered all our questions, got us the VIOLA of my fifth-grader's dreams, and checked out with a lovely payment plan setup that night were all absolutely fantastic! I had ZERO idea or expectation of how and where to start on this journey; upon walking into REW, all of that washed away, and we're now a few weeks into our first year of strings, and my fifth grader couldn't be happier!

They have all the instruments so anything your kiddo likes they can try. The instructors are mostly previous students who are still "young and cool" so they have a great connection with the younger crowd. One on one music lessons are available and or join the school band that is tailored to their age group. They play in shows and practice together regularly to form lasting friendships with their band mates. Everyone who works here is fantastic and very musically inclined and knowledgeable. We finally feel like we've found our music home for lessons and all around musical enjoyment. Seen the movie? Yeah, this place is even better. Try it out, you won't be disappointed.

Went up to playing his first show on drums with the band, which they happily named The Snake Skulls! Price can get a little steep, but if you can afford it, it's one of the best places we've been for music lessons. The staff is amazing and welcoming. Kyle was terrific with the kids and would always stop to talk music with me when he could. Jeremy is extremely helpful with anything you need and would answer all my questions about drum tech, even helping us find a good deal on an electric kit for our son to practice on at home. Hopefully one day, we will be able to start lessons here again.

We visited three music stores to find the right piano…read more Craig Smith, Piano Sales Rep, was personable, professional, and informative. He was very good about explaining the different options in both instruments (new vs. used, pianos vs. digital pianos) and payment options (installment plan, purchase cash discount, vs. renting, etc.) He patiently showed us several models, helped guide us (respected our budget!) and followed up with us in an appropriate manner. At no time did I feel pressured to decide or upgrade beyond our comfort level. We ended up emailing follow up questions, and had a nice back and forth communication. Craig even sent us a link comparing the models we were were debating about! Talk about wonderful customer service. We put a small deposit down on the Clavinova (http://usa.yamaha.com/products/musical-instruments/keyboards/digitalpianos/clavinova-concept/) to hold it for a week until we could purchase in full - I couldn't pass up the cash discount! Even the delivery team was excellent: arrived on time, were courteous and set up the piano perfectly. Highly recommend. It was a breeze to work with Meyer Music on all counts, and we have been enjoying our purchase since Spring Break. In fact, our young nieces (6 yrs old and 9 yrs old) couldn't keep their hands off it! They just loved the fun features of playing different orchestra instruments on it. We had a chuckle about that since they have a gorgeous Baby Grand at home, but they are in love with our Clavinova!

I am so pleased with the great piano teacher match through Shining Light Music. When I called to…read moreinquire about teachers, I communicated that our requirements are stringent: my son is 6 yrs old, and while he likes piano, he doesn't looove piano, so the lessons have to be fun and engaging to encourage his progress. He's had 1.5 years piano instruction, and he doesn't respond well to some of the "too basic" piano book courses we had temporarily explored with a couple past teachers, so it's a challenge to level him up with material and technique that is age appropriate and fun enough but not too basic, nor too complex. And we had limited time availabilty as our schedules are maxed... It's such a blessing that the receptionist recommended Ms. Emily Shelp! Ms. Emily is well qualified; she possesses a Bachelor of Music in Piano Pedagogy from Bob Jones University and has been playing since she was 7 yrs old. Her bio is coming soon to the Shining Light Music teacher page. Best of all, she strikes the right notes - I couldn't resist the pun! - in working on my son's technique and making it fun. She motivates him with weekly fun point-competitions (to earn country stickers in his passport, medals, trophy, etc.) which has resulted in him reminding me that he has to memorize a song for the next lesson..cuz he wants the points! (whoo hoo, he's no longer resistant to practicing!!!!) I feel that she is the right piano teacher for his current level and needs; she employs a cheerful and focused Kindergarten/First Grade encouraging teaching style to keep all the lessons fun and on track, she's able to motivate and consistently award with positive reinforcement, able to redirect him when he gets silly (after all he's been in school all day, then straight to his lesson!) and I appreciate how she is able to teach finer technique in a way that he understands. She would be great for both beginner and advanced students.
