They let us teach roller derby/roller skating classes for cheap to students. A OK!

I started going to this school because i heard a lot of good things and you would think with how…read moremuch it costs to attend it would be. Dont think, because its a expensive private school, youre getting what you pay for. The dorms are extremely small with old restrooms with showers that take 10+ min to heat up and sinks that are leaky and flooding the dorm constantly. I live in mathes so its not like its the oldest building on campus or anything either. They are constantly having people in the dorms fixing things but things somehow are always broken. The wifi sucks, the teachers that i have had so far usually read off of a powerpoint and then expect you to learn what theyre teaching so your money doesnt even matter when it comes to getting quality teachers. Oh and if you want to buy anything dont think that you can just go to the campus bookstore because suprise! They never open it! One of my favorite things to do on the tour was check iut everything they had and then when the year started all of a sudden they say "its going to be online only for now" They use concepts of what they want to portray the school as but never live up to it. The Link was used as a convincing factor for many of the students i know and they dont have the finances to build it this year and probably not for the next few. Over 50% of the student body are athletes so this is incredibly disappointing... Overall if you have parents that can waste 31k+ a year on a school that is basically the same as a state community college go for it but if you want what youre paying for whether it be food, living, or educational aspects then i do not recommend this school at all. Below is a screenshot of an email sent to every student a little before winter break. What kind of message is this supposed to sent? What are the students of WJC supposed to think when theyre school is failing them.

He received an excellent undergraduate education here which prepared him for many more years of education ahead. The amenities on campus are both historic and modernized depending on which area you are in. They are in the process of updating many areas of campus so there are always changes happening!

Ah, my alma mater, and a treasure in Kansas City…read more Just like the school I got my Masters from, SLU, Rockhurst is quite definitely "in the hood." And, just like SLU, Rockhurst had the opportunity years ago to take part in the flight from the inner city and build a sprawling campus out in the burbs. Rockhurst, like SLU, did not give up on the city it was part of. You're going to find at Rockhurst a Jesuit education, which apart from a distinguishing element of service, focuses on building a whole person. We take philosophy and theology courses as part of the core not because we are trying to indoctrinate someone in religion, but to point out that life is more than marketing or biology. Rockhurst is the second-smallest Jesuit school in the country and certainly one of the more affordable. One of the drawbacks we have is that we do not have a good study-abroad program, but I came in as a junior transfer so I had already had that benefit at another school. I'm deeply grateful for my time spent at the Rock.

The professors are extremely passionate about their fields and very flexible to your own personal needs. There are many ways to get involved and an increasingly accepting environment for marginalized groups. This is the kind of place where people hold doors for others and everyone is very excited to be here and to get an education. Additionally, you do not have to be a Catholic to come here and there are a lot of individuals who are not. I would highly recommend attending this college and have had an amazing experience here!
