I have had Metronet between 5-10 years.
It all started last July (July 2023) when someone burying my neighbor's cable cut mine. My daughter works from home and needs the internet to work. I called and someone came out pretty quickly to get us back in service but we have been waiting for almost a year to get the cable buried. It's in an area where anybody can run over it with a lawn mower. I have called at least once a month, if not more often, to get this cable buried. So far we have been told that they see where it was listed to be done and then it was canceled. We have also been told, with every call, that someone would call us back to get this set up, but still nothing.
Two weeks ago someone was out to bury another neighbor's cable, we asked him if he was going to bury ours too and were told no. He had been out there the day before installing the cable and asked about our cable, if he should bury it as well and was told to leave it alone.
I'm sick of waiting for it to be buried. What does a person have to do to get some customer service? So far just in the past couple of weeks I have spoken to a Molly, Shelby, a male who did not give his name and today a "bot" called Brook on their website. Each one has said the same thing. "I will escalate this issue"...sure they will.
In October 2023, we were told that something was wrong with the box and had to be fixed before the cable was buried, nobody came out. In December this was the first time we were told that we were dropped, by January it was too cold the ground was frozen, so we have been calling ever since to get this issue resolved. Prove it. Resolve this! read more
