As a patient requiring frequent visits for blood work, and critical infusions, the efficiency and comfort of these visits are paramount to my ongoing care and well-being. All my experiences have been consistently characterized by excessively prolonged wait times, often extending two hours or more beyond my scheduled appointment times for both my physician and infusion therapy. This creates a deeply challenging and, frankly, disheartening situation, particularly given the already demanding nature of chemo treatments. A significant source of distress is the perception that patient safety and comfort, particularly for those with weakened immune systems like myself, are not being adequately prioritized. Being confined to crowded waiting areas for extended periods not only exacerbates physical fatigue but also presents a heightened risk of infection. The operational practices observed, such as seemingly pervasive overbooking and the resulting congestion in patient waiting rooms, strongly suggest that the current scheduling system is not effectively managing patient flow or capacity. This systemic inefficiency significantly detracts from the quality of care and transforms what should be a supportive and efficient medical environment into a source of considerable stress and anxiety. I am leaving MSK, Harrison and moving to an environment that is not only medically excellent but also compassionate, respectful of patient time, and prioritizes the safety and comfort of all individuals seeking care....unfortunately, this is not the place.

Over the course of several decades; I visited dozens of people, in almost as many Hospitals. So I can confidently write this review based on actual experience and not emotion. From the moment you arrive on the property you'll notice it's well laid out in a logical and convenient manner for visitors, usually family, who are already stressed. There's plenty of free parking near the several entrances. The Security Dept personnel are extremely courteous, professional, and reassuring; explaining procedures and giving directions to the various locations, in a very pleasant manner. The staff at the Nurse's Station acknowledge you when you arrive. Unlike many places, where you could stand there indefinitely while they stare at their computer monitors; without the slightest inkling of proper guest relations. IF, it was the other way around I'm certain these same people would be raging "Karen's"! The food service Dept. delivers meals that are on par with a four star hotel restaurant . There are actual ceramic dishes, no plastic plates or styrofoam glasses, knives and forks like a real restaurant, again no plastic sporks. The tray is artistically set, as opposed to haphazardly arranged. They realize that when you are in the hospital, there's not much else to do; so food is one of those things you can actually look forward to and enjoy. So, after a few visits; I can say everyone I've encountered has been exceptionally professional, helpful, and courteous. My story: I needed special screening for the MRI because of metal objects in my chest after open heart surgery. Their agent Alexis on phone cleared me for the MRI with notes for the technician. Though heavily booked, she got me a timely appointment. I also needed an X-ray, and Alexis said, while there were no openings for this I can try for one at the reception on a walk- in basis. But no such luck as they were overbooked. Esther the imaging expert called me in, and then was thorough and knowledgeable for my MRI. On learning I needed an X-Ray she went out of her way to fit me in between scheduled appointments. The technician running the X-Ray unit and Esther took extra pains to understand what my doctor was looking for, and now I'm set for my next doctor visit. In sum, I found this place to be well run, with decent equipment and facilities, and most importantly, very helpful staff like Esther who went out of her way and saved me an extra trip!

I knew I would have to wait but at some point, they needed to weave me in the patient list. Otherwise, don't take walkins and make it appointment only. The receptionist I dealt with was patient and very nice. She was in another station across the floor so I'm assuming she's more senior because the others seemed lost. The xray tech was patient as well. However, next time, I'll have my doctor send me elsewhere. And why use the name Lenox Hill? They are not affiliated with the hospital.

He fully repaired my ankle (which had chronic sprains; every 3-4 weeks, a new sprain! Oh boy!) whereas other doctors suggested physical therapy alone, which I had done 4 times with no improvement. Dr. McWilliam has excellent bedside manner and was willing to actually listen to my concerns, regardless of my age, and also fully and frankly explained what was wrong/what complications I could expect with various treatment options. Ultimately, I opted for surgical repair, and he did an excellent job. His office staff are fantastic and caring, and the entire team took care of me while I was healing. My interactions with the office staff have been consistently frustrating and, at times, upsetting. They often come across as rude, dismissive, and combative, making patients feel like they are a nuisance simply for calling the office. On one occasion, a staff member answered the phone by saying, "What do you want?" in an abrasive tone, which was completely unprofessional. Michelle, in particular, has repeatedly been difficult to work with and has come across as unkind and unwilling to help. Phone calls frequently go unanswered or are never returned, appointments have been scheduled incorrectly, and I've received conflicting information from the office on multiple occasions. Instead of helping resolve issues, interactions often create more confusion and unnecessary stress. It's incredibly disappointing because the physicians provide exceptional care, but the front office experience consistently falls far below that standard. I sincerely hope the practice addresses these concerns, as patients deserve to be treated with courtesy, respect, and professionalism from the moment they contact the office.
