BEWARE!!! Total scam and psycho nurse. I have never had a more horrible medical experience in my life. I have had many COVID tests over the past few months- both the longer nasal swabs and the shorter swabs. The nurse at this urgent care was so aggressive with the swab, I left the office feeling like I had just been assaulted. I was bleeding from my nose for hours afterwards. It was like this nurse was getting pleasure from causing me pain. Additionally, I got the COVID test on Monday, November 23rd. They said it would take 2-3 business days for the results and that they would call me. It is now Wednesday, December 2nd, and I still haven't received my results. That's a full 7 business days. I am only giving this place one star because I must. I obtained a medical issue randomly during the night and had to cab it in the rain here about half an hour before they closed. And when I got in Some girl , and some other Latina woman who was at the front desk was so rude. I entered , they both sighed as if i was an inconvenience to them while they are at work. They ask me why I'm here, before asking me if I'm a new patient. As if to reject me or ask me to go home if there wasn't enough time to connect with me. They then give me a paper to fill out, no words, no information, no eye contact, they just expect me to know what to do. Which is fine, but then they speak in Spanish and say that I came in this late even though it's raining. Thinking that I'm not a Latino man , but I am. I didn't respond because I wasn't going to waste my time arguing. But then they ended up being my nurse. You NEVER know who speaks your native tongue. I am Puerto Rican and my first language is Spanish. Just because I don't have an accent doesn't mean I don't fluently speak the language you're bad mouthing in. This was the worst urgent care experience I've ever had. The providers and receptionists were not only unknowledgeable, but were also extremely disrespectful. I went in to get tested for the flu. When I arrived one of the receptionists informed me I was the only patient there and I would be seen shortly after filling out some forms. After promptly filling out the forms and handing them over to the receptionist, it took her 30 minutes to enter my information into the system because she was gossiping (very loudly) with the other 3 people also working at the reception. They then sent me to an examination room to wait for the nurse practitioner. After another 15 minutes the doctor came in, and without even looking at me or introducing herself, she faced the wall and reached for a pack of crackers in her coat, sat down and started eating them. She then said "Sorry, I was SO hungry". Meanwhile, I could still hear the receptionists talking and laughing loudly outside. The nurse practitioner went on to examine me, and the entire examination was unprofessional. A series of negative experiences followed. The doctor informed me I could call and ask to get prescribed Tamiflu in the next couple days, I called later that day and the receptionist told me that was not possible and hung up on me. The doctor also informed me I should come back if I didn't get better in the next week because I could develop pneumonia or a sinus infection. She clearly stated that I would not have to pay another copay if I came back. I came back one week later still feeling sick, where the receptionist informed me I would have to pay the copay. When I told her what the doctor had said, including the name of the doctor and the day I was seen, she said the doctor was not authorized to talk to me about copay information. As I was leaving I heard her saying to the other receptionist: "I don't know what doctor told her that". As if I were lying. I spoke to the manager regarding my experience and she just proved to be just as negligent the rest of the staff. my experience was HORRIFIC. I was here NOT for covid testing with an appointment for 9am. after 30 minutes of waiting i asked the status and was told there was still another patient who was waiting who had been there since 8:30- meaning i'd still have ANOTHER HOUR to wait. What is the point of making an appointment. In addition, all the patients who mostly seemed to be covid testing were sitting right on top of eachother. it made me so uncomfortable i stood in the corner for 30 minutes waiting. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE RIGHT NOW?? AND... THE STAFF. THE receptionist was horrificly rude, and the second woman who came was just as rude and when i asked about my appt told me to go check in. 30 minutes after i had and had been waiting. A little background to place my review of Dr Gulati in context - hailing from a family of accomplished medical practitioners, no less the first man to bring open heart surgery to the far east, my father was Chairman of the Commonwealth Medical Association for two decades. My eldest sister leads a world-renown research group in bone marrow transplants, being both a haematoligist and an oncologist. In all candor, I myself am an architect, so do not claim intimate knowledge of a trained medical professional - I just happen to live in a family of them. Having lived in the US for 22+ years, I'm afraid I have to say that finding doctors, specialists, and indeed, medical practitioners of any ilk, is tough. I've been waiting for a good decade after my last PCP 'hung his hat up' and retired. Knowing what I do, with my background, I know what a true doctor is. One who wears their hippocratic oath on their sleeves. No awareness of "liability" or pressures brought upon from pharmaceutical industry. In my humble opinion, Dr Saroj B Gulati is one such physician. There is no better thing one can be said of a doctor but that one who wears her hippocratic oath on her sleeve. I've searched long and hard to find someone who reminds me of my family of doctors. I'm overjoyed to have made contact with her, and the best part is - her clinic is around the corner from my apartment in Williamsburg. I have never seen this kind of incompetence. I went in in early 2020 for a simple annual check up and to get my prescription renewed. The "doctor" actually mixed up two common conditions and when I corrected him, he said "OH I always get those two mixed up!!" I felt like I was in candid camera. He said he'd send my prescription to my pharmacy. I also got a bill for my visit, which I paid on the spot already, and had to call the clinic and their billing department twice. Well turned out that he never sent my meds and I called them to ask him to do his job and send it. I ended up calling 8 times, in 5 different days, since the receptionist said they will message him and nothing happened. All this time I am without my meds because the doctor didn't do his job. Finally I had to go full Karen and ask to speak to a manager, after one of the many receptionist I spoke to said they have "no control over anything". The manager assured me it will be taken care of but I needed to talk to another doctor (the first one had since left the clinic). I begrudgingly agreed, althought this whole thing was their mistake. I was supposedly scheduled for a call the next day but the call never came, so I pick up the phone AGAIN and explain the same thing for the 9th time. They said yet another doctor would call me the next day. He did, didn't even tell me his name, and the call took about 10 seconds. The next day I receive my prescription - it was only for one month - this is an ongoing medication and usually my doctor writes me at least 3-5 months. Despite the reviews on here I was willing to take a chance and try this place out as I was in a lot of pain and they are two blocks from my apartment. Granted I was one of the first people to arrive in the morning the woman at the front desk was very nice and helpful with my questions and I was the first to be seen! I only waited 15-20 minutes. I actually expect a long wait during the flu/cold season. They also take more insurances than cityMD (which doesn't take my new one) I saw DR. Kamille she was incredibly kind and easy to talk to and to work with. I found out within less than 15 minutes I had strep throat. I was out of there within an hour and picked up my prescription right after. They also called the next day for a follow-up on how I was feeling! This place is a total scam. I did a Covid test 11 days ago and never got a result even though they said it would only take 2-3 days. I know of three other people who never got theirs either. I went to this Urgent Care clinic and it almost killed me, not exaggerating. I went in with a high fever, a horrible cough and a few other symptoms. They gave me a flu test, determined I didn't have the flu and gave me cough syrup. I went back two days laters much sicker than I was previously, more cough syrup. Two days later I went to the ER because I didn't trust the care I was getting, I had bacterial pneumonia, was septic, and critical. I spent 10 days in the hospital, had surgery and was finally released. Their negligence almost cost me my life and I spent three months recovering. If you value your life, do not go here. I tried to sue but was told I wouldn't win because of the ten pages of waivers they give you. read more

Terrible experience--please avoid Metro Urgicare (aka "Statcare") at all costs. They exhibited all the efficiency and competence one might expect from a socialist system in the third world. Just trying to get them on the phone entailed several calls with someone on the Indian subcontinent who couldn't connect us with their Graham Ave location and kept wanting us to go to some place on Eastern Parkway. We lost three full days of needed care and several hours simply trying to get Metro Urgicare to take our insurance, with which they are in-network. Their people were unable (or unwilling?) to call the correct number on our insurance card, so we were forced to make a 3-way call to connect them with our nice insurance rep. The fact that our insurer told Urgicare they were in-network and that their claims would be paid made zero difference--the Urgicare employee kept complaining to the insurance rep that she was seeing "something red" on her "system" screen, as if Cigna is meant to provide IT help for front-desk computers of the providers in their network. Eventually, we were told to call a manager, only to find we'd been given a fax line. A call back resulted in a promise that we'd be called back--which we weren't. It was, bar none, the shabbiest and most incompetent performance I've ever seen from an ostensible health-care provider. The staggering ineptitude in dealing with insurance they contract with left us with less than zero confidence that Urgicare/Statcare could perform even the simplest medical test or procedure--I personally wouldn't let them put a band-aid on me--and I suspect they are far more likely to injure a patient than to provide any actual medical care. Should you be injured (at Urgicare/Statcare or elsewhere) or need tests done, we can recommend a far better option: UMD Urgent Care at 633 Driggs Ave in Williamsburg saved us in a pinch, and proved to be incredibly competent, efficient, and polite. We will definitely use them in the future. The local CityMD is decent, too--but they didn't have the tests we needed. But whatever you do, at all costs avoid going to Metro Urgicare, or Statcare, or whatever other names the blight at 308 Graham Ave is going by. In fairness, the three women we dealt with over two days weren't helpful, knowledgeable, or competent--but they were friendly enough and not deliberately rude or unkind and it was obvious that they were under stress with numerous patients (may god have mercy on their souls) clamoring for their attention. But whoever runs this outfit ought to be run right out of business for their appallingly poor management and failure to provide even rudimentarily competent service. read more

The doctor didnt even get up to see the rash my sister was telling her about. This is a horrible urgent care and needs to go under new management or get shut down all together! My experience at this Urgent Care was absolutely heinous. I wish I remembered the name of the doctor who I saw because I would certainly name him here if I did. The care he gave me was absolutely abysmal. I went in for an extremely painful ulcer on my throat and he did not listen to a word I had to say about my symptoms or my pain. He continued to insist that I did not have strep and that my tonsils were not swollen, never mind that I did not come in concerned about strep or that my tonsils were REMOVED YEARS AGO. He sent me on my way with no help or advice. I insisted that he take a throat culture for more than strep and he assured me that he had. An hour after I left, I got a call from the Urgent Care--they hadn't done more than the in-house strep test after all and were asking me to come back in to get the test. I called repeatedly to get the results and was only given them after I went to visit my PCP because of the extreme pain I was in, and had her call them herself. This practice is an absolute joke and dangerous to the health of the people who go there for care. Please go literally anywhere else. My dead dog could've given me better care than this. read more

The receptionist's & nurses were ALL a heaven sent but that person in there who claimed to me a doctor was definitely not acting like one, she was getting frustrated at me for not being able to BREATH PROPERLY while she checked my chest, she also YELLED "AHHHH" when I didn't do it loud enough like I was stupid and didn't understand how too and Bc of that it gave me a headache, she then only checked one of my ears and looked up to the ceiling real quick and then said ok so what your going to do is take 4 puffs of my inhaler every 4 hours, LIKE EXCUSE ME?!!!!! After I gave her the death stare she looked at me and smiled with her black decaying teeth and said do you understand ?! I then completely ignored that and asked to be checked for flu and strep bc I have been coughing sneezing have insane body aches and fever and can barley breath what's so ever, I was in no mood to wait in the waiting room for 30 mins to be told that nonsense, I feel so terrible for everyone who went in after me Bc that "doctor" didn't know what she was doing and had me leaving with a throbbing headache and feeling even worse than I already had when I came in. She was able to find a effective treatment. When inquiring about the cost of the visit, they told me it was $125. Before I left I asked how much I owed and the assistant told me "nothing, your insurance covers it, I checked". A few month later I receive a $150 bill, I show up in person at this location and they tell me it's billing, they can't help me. Ugh pretty much a nightmare. I waited 3 hours on death's door, while a dental patient who had fallen and slightly chipped her tooth (dental, when there wasn't even a dentist on site! Lol) who came in an hour after me took over the office...instead of just sending her down the street to any of the large number dentists in the area, they kept me and a number of super sick people they could actually treat waiting. There is a serious issue with the business model, one doctor on site, as well as delegating, and figuring out who to treat when. I called a few days later and to ask them to phone in some cough syrup to my pharmacy, and they told me to come back in and be reassessed. As if! Sitting in there all afternoon with a number of super sick people all with different contagious ailments - this is the place to go if you want to pick up a couple strains of the flu and cold that you don't already have, not if you actually want to get better. Go see a regular doctor, go anywhere else - this place is not reliable. I give it one star because if you happen to luck out and go in when no one is there, you should get seen, and the doctors and staff are nice and seem to do a good job. I've visited this place a few months ago for a bad cold I had. The place is very clean and I was seen by Dr. Gulati. She was very nice and understanding of my situation. She explained briefly what my issues were and the exams she had to perform to provide me with the best medicine. She knew what she was doing very professional individual.
