The best skate camp in the Bay Area! The coaches are professional, my kid had great time in Metro! And we cannot wait for the next year!

Ripon Skatepark - It's an amazing skate park that is too wet in the early morning

It's an excellent design and most people around here think of this skate park when they want to go…read moreto any skate park in the area, although the new Lathrop skate park is pulling some people closer to home. It's huge, so you won't see a bunch of newbies trying to use it. The concrete (no wood!) is smooth. I believe that there are restrictions about scooters and bikes but no one seems to enforce them, and everyone there seems okay with them, as long as you're not in the way.

REVIEW FOR PARENTS:…read more This is a SKATEPARK, not a PLAYGROUND. If your child is below the age of 13 or does nothing but ride back and forth then this is not a safe environment for them. This a place for people to practice and try out and DANGEROUS tricks. Small children who do not understand skatepark etiquette will ride back and forth, not giving the slightest concern for their surroundings which is very very dangerous for everyone else trying to have a good time. PARENTS, I understand your children look at the skatepark as this magical wonderland and you want them to have the time of their lives. But i promise you when a parent shows up with their toddlers and their scooters and their safety gear, it brings nothing but disappointment to everyone there. GEAR WILL NOT PROTECT YOUR CHILD FROM ADULTS GOING AT TOP SPEED. The next time your child wants to come to the skatepark, teach them about skatepark etiquette. Everyone in this environment wants everyone to be safe, and when young children come into it not knowing how to act, it presents danger for everyone involved. Remember, your small child is surrounded by tall walls of concrete, maybe not the safest place ya? Parents do not get angry when your child is waiting for their turn while everyone else is shredding, your child simply does not belong there.

As many times my late husband has driven on Davis Street to head into San Leandro, I never noticed this park. The area where we were at had several picnic tables, and the traffic on Davis Street wasn't that bad. Parking lot was on the premises. Since my family, relatives and friends were just in the area next to the parking lot, I did not walk around to see the playground and other amenities at this park. The park is nice and clean, compared to a few particular parks in a city north of San Leandro. It's a great place for picnics, birthday parties and family outings on the weekends.

Some grills are adjustable, can be lowered or raised and some are at fixed heights. Grassy areas are very green and tall. Atmosphere - San Leandro's oldest park, renovated in 1992. Baseball or softball field and a skateboard park. Small local park. Small play structure for kids. Approximately 6 picnic tables and grills, reservable. Open 7 days a week from 8am to 7pm. The bathrooms are near the home plate of the baseball field and they were okay, not good or bad. Usable. Service - No problems for reserving the picnic tables & grills. 5 stars, the "park ranger" came at the beginning and end of the event to empty trash cans and make sure everything was okay. Price - $142 resident, $214 non resident. Owner Comment - Thank you City of SL for a nice small local park.

The last time I took the kids it looked like so much fun I borrowed my kids tiny board and rode in a skatepark for the first time in 25 years! The park is a perfect mix for beginners and pros, with easy roll ins and gentle humps all the way to bowls, stairs, and gaps. We've been to some other skateparks that have steeper ramps and feel much more closed in, we end up coming back to this one because it's more spacious with plenty of room for everyone. The snake run is really fun for beginners and you can learn to roll in here and ride some banks. The negatives of this skatepark are sometimes people that live in their cars will park out here, there used to be a lady with a full on garden outside of her car and sometimes people will hang out in the grass nearby and smoke weed. Haven't seen it in awhile but we started coming early morning. The closest bathrooms are at the park so a pretty far walk if you need to use them. There is also no shade don't gets hot during summer.

Imma and my friends were attacked, and harassed by the park ranger (also a skateboarder) the ranger kicked my friends car, a dad got furious with rage and ensisted on fighting until we left the park. I don't understand where this hate comes from, we had common skatepark etiquette, as we always do, I was even giving the angry dads son props prior that day. The ranger here is out of control. I was completely dumbfounded by his behavior. As sloppy and unprofessional as it gets. This was over a year ago, and I hear he still works here. FIRE THE RANGER!!!!! 2017*
