Before scheduling service, I specifically asked the person on the phone whether there was a minimum service fee, hourly rate, or any upfront cost. I was clearly told they would need to come out, assess the issue, and then provide an estimate. No pricing, diagnostic fee, or minimum charge was disclosed. When the technician arrived, he spent less than five minutes at the property and simply flipped the breakers back on, confirming they were already in working condition. There was no repair, no parts, and no real troubleshooting performed. Only later in the day was I presented with a $238 bill. As a rental property owner who manages multiple properties, transparency in pricing is extremely important. At no point was I informed that I would be charged nearly $240 just for someone to show up and flip a breaker switch. The situation feels beyond misleading. I believed I was receiving an estimate, not authorizing an expensive service charge. Charging hundreds of dollars for less than five minutes of basic "work", without clearly communicating fees upfront, is unacceptable business practice. There are many honest electricians who provide clear pricing before performing work and who respect their customers' time and trust. I will not be recommending Haley Electric and will never use this company again for any of my properties.

It wasn't an emergency but he continued to chat on Facebook messenger so she asked if he would come back and check his work- see attached photos... We asked him to come back and fix it and he was extremely rude and said he will charge us $150 to come out and an additional $75 an hour until he is done. Poor work ethics, poor workmanship poor customer service. I do not recommend him and as a community spokesman, I will let families know we had a bad experience with him. ------ Update: He publicly wrote me back calling me "left wing scum." It turns out, Rodney and crew left a huge mess, with hot wires all over the attic, and things were not connected. This is a huge fire hazard - this place could have burned down! The new electrician said Rodney screwed me over, big time. I can't believe I paid thousands of dollars to get him to do the electricity for this place, and they did such a poor job. We're taking photos and documenting everything, and will update my review with them. I have no idea how my units passed electrical inspection. I am filing a claim with the BBB, state licensing board- you name it. This company should not be in business, and I want to spare other consumers from the same fate.

My husband was sold on both options, he didn't care which we close, but having a sales background, I'm almost immune and for our needs right now, this was not the program or company for us, but yes, if we were in our forever home, I would have totally considered buying what this man was selling.

I had been using Service Experts in Memphis for twice-yearly HVAC maintenance, and my AC had been…read moreworking perfectly with no issues. I purchased the advantage plan which I receive two maintenance visits per year. During my most recent maintenance visit, the technician changed the filter and checked my 6 year old unit. He gave a report on my unit stating my capacitor reading was not the number it should be. He stated it would eventually go out. Also stated I needed Freon., and the compression would go out soon. About 30 minutes after he left, my house started getting hot. I checked the thermostat and saw the temperature was rising. I immediately called the company because my AC was working fine before the technician touched it. I made it clear to the Office Manager that I wanted my unit working like it was before he touched it and I wasn't paying any money to get it back to a working status. Instead of taking my concerns seriously, the office manager seemed more focused on my frustration than on resolving the issue. After speaking with the owner, they sent the technician back. His conversation was the same as the office manager informing me what the technician wrote and telling me my capacitor just happened to go out when he left. Also said that's pretty normal. I can't make this crap up! When the technician returned , he immediately tried to sell me a new capacitor for $268, claiming his readings showed it was failing. I declined because I no longer trusted the company. I then called another HVAC company for a second opinion. Within minutes, they discovered the real problem--the technician left one switch on my breaker off which is why the unit was on when he left but went off 15 minutes later. . They flipped it back on, and my AC worked normal again. There was absolutely nothing wrong with my capacitor nor was freon needed. This isn't my first bad experience with Service Experts. Two years ago, after another technician came out for a maintenance visit, my capacitor failed the very next day. A different HVAC company later showed me the burned capacitor that had been removed from my unit. Keep in mind that wasn't on the report. I told the Service Expert and the other company that came out to replace it that it's very ironic my capacitor went out the very next day. Looking back, I strongly believe my original capacitor was replaced during that visit. Based on my experiences, I no longer trust Service Experts. I cannot recommend a company that creates unnecessary problems and then tries to sell expensive repairs that aren't needed. I would encourage anyone considering their services to get a second opinion before approving any recommended repairs. Also stay away from the maintenance service plan because it's only a gimmick to upsell at the customers expense. They will call you for your service visit that you pay on a monthly installment only to find a way to get more money out of you at any cost!!!!
