Just decided to pop my head over here as I was passing through the neighbourhood to do some…read moreshopping. While the employees did seem somewhat friendly enough, but something about the employees kinda made me feel they gave off a bit of a negative vibe. Not only that but the place could really use a bit of overhaul in terms of redecorating, because it looks more like a auto repair shop rather than a pawn shop/pawn broker. The one other thing I should mention is that a lot of their items isn't always priced too clearly. Some do have a price, yes, but not all (or at least not clearly). This is actually not a good sign, because as the other reviews had mentioned, you could potentially be ripped off or be attempted at being ripped off if they wanted to. The only good news about this place is that they do have a decent amount of selections of DVD, BluRay and video games if you're into that, although I do suggest that you inspect the quality first. You should really only go to this place if you really have to, and if you do, ALWAYS try to demand that you inspect it. If they refuse, walk away.

I always wondered what this "hole in the wall" place was about. So I went in today while waiting…read moreat the transit loop. It was a big, dark dingy building with a massive amounts of so called "treasures". Lots of construction tools being sold here. I didn't buy anything, but took notice of a few art pieces but made a decision not to buy after witnessing poor business practice. I was observant of how the business owner conducted herself and how patrons were treated. I was completely saddened by what I saw. A person "pawning" goods here for $25 would have to pay back $30 - ludicrous. There was obviously some concern from the patron. But the African-Canadian female behind the counter was a "rough & tumble type", who did not explain this from the very beginning. Her attitude was "don't like it, go somewhere else". She was very happy to take the person's goods, ID and begin processing their information quickly. It was not until after the data-entry into the computer was almost done, that she started to explain what the terms were and ONLY because the person asked. She was ruthless and brutal but always with a smile. Definitely taking advantage of those living in poverty. What a nasty business this is. She had some older Caucasian, crony by her side throwing comments out to bring the value down of the goods the person was pawning. What a con-job partnership these two have going on. Stay away from this place. Spend your money where it's more ETHICAL and where you know PEOPLE are valued and treated well. I can't stand business owners like this - brings the "Royal" City down.
