I was going away for a month a week later and when I went back in to ask about my headphones I was told they hadn't been collected yet so they gave me a brand new pair!! They were so helpful and I am so appreciative of all their efforts! Anyway, i picked up a few things and was wowed by the prices on he covers, some of these films wee fairly new to DVD! then i decided to look inside the box to make sure that the DVD was actually in there and they were not just selling the box or some mad scam like that, nope, the DVD was in side but it looked like the last person to touch the DVD had just taken their hand out of a pot of jam or something. how had that happened? then i saw the sign on the wall, one with teeny tiny writing on he bottom. it explained that all the stock in the shop was second hand stock or stock that had previously been rental stock or display stock and thats why the prices were so cheap. On top of that there were no guarantees on you purhase either so you couldnt return a DVD that didnt work (possibly due to jam smears!). So basicallyl this shop is like a big game of VD lottery, you migh be lucky enough o bag one tha works for your three euro! like buying a scratch card maybe but in this case you were looking for something without the scratches! I didnt have time to open and close all my boxes and examine each CD so i left, this might be a good place if your looking for a deal and you have time, i just wasnt for me unfortunatly!

I wandered in and left with a Hot Press magazine and a Taylor Swift calendar for my Swiftie Wife (who already had the latest album). I should have stuck around for the CDs, especially the new "Tracks II: The Lost Albums" and "Nebraska '82: Expanded Edition" music collections. Or maybe a Boomtown Rats album?

My friend and I stopped into this charity shop yesterday and it was quite nice. It was small and…read morenot organized super well but that added to the charm. The prices were very reasonable and there was decent selection. I ended up getting a small glass bottle that I needed for a friend's gift and it was €3. The cashier was friendly and checked me out quickly. I ended up going to a couple of different Oxfam locations around Dublin and this one has the best selection and was the biggest. I'm not sure if this is the biggest overall but it was a good size.

You can find all kinds of furniture in Oxfam Home, from 60s bubble rocking chairs to Ercol dining…read moresets, but the pieces are usually towards the funky end of the spectrum. Prices are good, but not too good - as always Oxfam has a fair idea about the worth of things. As well as furniture, it also has an above par secondhand book section.

Claddagh Records is also a record label, which explains why they have such a huge inventory of music - because they put out albums themselves. It also means that they are full of information. Let's say you want a record featuring duets backed by accordion music. They will have no trouble finding you this record. It's the kind of place that really should have been rendered obsolete by downloading, but hasn't. Fair dues to it for keepin' on. It's a great place to pick up a hard to find record or box set, but it's so small they don't have much stock. Last time I was in there, I saw albums being sold on cassette. Again, fair dues. I only ever really use Sound Cellar for buying tickets to gigs, as it's the only place I know that sells tickets to almost all Dublin venues that isn't Ticketmaster. Plus, they don't charge you through the nose for add-ons like booking fees.

Serving up the best punk, hardcore, alternative, and psychobilly/rockabilly tunes, Horror Business has everything a punk - mini or full-size adult version - could hope for. Really great selection had me feeling nostalgic... then I remembered the awful bangs I rocked back then and shuddered. Never go back!
