Stay away! They took my newly widowed mothers 3100 deposit and never showed up for the work. Set another install date and no showed again. This has been 6 months. Stopped taking her calls and have multiple lawsuits. Shady business people and thieves. read more

After receiving no response from my numerous emails and calls over a 6 week period, my complaint was responded to within 48 hours after posting this review. I was told that the requested repairs would be made immediately. When I was away from my home 2 weeks later, I got a call from the owner informing me that the workers were there and ready to make the repairs. I immediately returned home to find that the workers had jumped the fence and started the repairs when I was not home and without my permission. At that same time, they broke a brand new sprinkler line. The sprinkler line was repaired, my requests regarding the fence were addressed and I received an apology for this horrendous experience. I'm still not happy with how everything happened and would not recommend their services. read more

Not even installed yet and I'm livid. First scheduled day and they were a no call/no show. It was raining so I didn't expect an install, but to not call at all and force us to call multiple times until someone picked up is inexcusable. Now today I was told an install team would be out at 10am and another no call/no show. After multiple calls/voicemail and an email to the owner, the owner finally called back. His response? They put on his calendar the install was today (which was what was communicated to us), but put tomorrow on the installers calendar. Needless to say, i expect tomorrow to happen and you better believe that I will do a walkthrough to verify the fence is to my expectation of quality or it will be redone. I have no faith in this company's accountability or customer service and to still pay full price for because it's a "service" is a joke. So far the service isn't worth it. *update* installers were late, but their work was incredible. Solid fence. The customer service level could be overhauled, but their installers are quality, even with the language barrier. Doesn't completely fix the experience, but the two guys that came out helped improve it. read more

I am livid with this company and at the owner, Adam Cronenwett! We paid a $2200 deposit about a month ago for a vinyl fence install that was supposed to happen yesterday. They never showed and just like everybody else, this guy is not answering calls, emails or texts. When we started seeing negative reviews pop up and people posting that Metro Fences may have went out of business, we drove over there. Adam was out front. We asked him what was going on and he said he was behind in jobs due to the weather. When we brought up the negative reviews and "no shows", he had the audacity to tell us that he is NOT Adam but is Adam's twin brother and tries to "stay out of the family business". What a joke! We used them back in 2015 at our old house and loved them! When we needed a new fence for our new home, we didn't even call anybody else. We have referred a lot of business to Adam and his company and this is how he treats loyal customers. I have already contacted the media and an attorney. I may never get my money back but this man should not be allowed to do business anywhere! He is way too dishonest to be trusted with anybody's money. Metro fence did a fantastic job despite the negative reviews. Their prices far beat the competitors. Fence was perfectly done and couldn't be happier. Would recommend to anyone looking for a white vinyl fence. read more

Metro Fence will steal your money!! I gave Dallas (estimator) a $1400 cash deposit on 7/11/18. The install date was to be 7/19/18. I called 5 times and emailed 2 times on 7/19/18 when they didn't show up. My pool final inspection was scheduled the following day! I call everyday. My calls initially went to voicemail and now the mailbox is full. I've left voicemails for Adam Cronenwett (owner) - no response. Prior to signing the contract, I was called every day by the office staff and the same day Dallas was at my house collecting the deposit. Now they've vanished, I suspect they are out of business. Next step is small claims court. read more

Tough review here because the end product is solid but unfortunately their customer service is bad. Had some very similar issues on timing as other reviewers. Overall horrible communication and service but end result is solid. On top of the poor service, the did leave our yard/driveway very dirty. We will need to replace the rest of the fence in our yard at some point and when we do, we'll be going with another company. read more

In case you don't read the full review - they are not licensed in Pinellas County and are not honest about it!!! They strung us along for 5 months after receiving the deposit with various excuses as to why they weren't installing our fence. Meanwhile our homeowner's insurance was threatening to drop us. STAY AWAY!!! They did the free estimate, scheduled the installation date and seemed very professional ... then they failed to show up for the installation, when asked where they were they said the materials didn't arrive in time. Scheduled second attempt at installation for 2 1/2 weeks later (since the supplier was supposedly 10 days behind) ... failed to show, citing incomplete materials again. Keep in mind they were very convincing that they had this under control. Scheduled the third attempt at installation and I called to confirm the day before and was told that they couldn't get the permit! Then asked us to fraudulently pull the city permit under our name saying we were doing a DIY project ourselves. After another month of saying they were getting the permit and they would have the materials ready when the permit was issued, they finally admitted they couldn't do the job stating that they "couldn't get the needed materials, that their supplier was backed up". Come to find out they aren't allowed to legally do business in Pinellas County! It took another 2 weeks and a couple of phone calls from the Sheriff's Department to get our deposit back. read more

This is the Rating Eek! Methinks not. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They promised installation the next week but did not keep that promise. They sent installers out when they did finally fit us in and they did not know what was going on. They broke our sprinkler lines and did not put the fence in level on the side of house, they also covered up brand new sod with clumps of dirt. I tried reaching the owner several times but he would not call me back. He instead had his "receptionist" deal with me. He promised to come out and look at the job but never showed. DO NOT USE METRO FENCING. The owner of this company is a coward and does not deal with his problems. He never did call me back. Never came to see the job. BAD JOB!!!!!! Had the worst experience ever!From the very beginning the communication was very poor, the office staff very unprofessional, schedules were constantly moved, promises never fulfilled. My fence was poorly installed and i was promised the resolution, but after 2 weeks of me trying to contact them and resolve the issue my number was blocked, emails and voicemails ignored, even by the owner! I Was supposed to have a fence installed today. No call back and when I went to message Kayla from office she has been deleted from messenger. I just spoke to her on Wednesday to confirm. After reading comments needless to say I am worried. I gave them half of the money and got a receipt plus contract by email. We went with Metro after many estimates and had Dallas representing the company. I really hope this is an oversight because I refuse to be ripped off by a fence company that advertises and actually sent someone out to meet and assure you that it will be done. Installed a 6 foot fence when I was to get a 8 foot fence. The expected dayof arrival was a no show no call. And the fence that is installed looks nice but is 18 inches short and does not touch my other fencing, so I have a 18 inch gap. I have to go out and purchace boards to fix myself. read more

Horrible experience. I had my fence install scheduled for Monday morning and the owner (Adam) calls me to tell me my permit is not ready on the morning of the install. I asked him if I can help push the permit through by contacting the local office and he said not to bother because it's very difficult to get through and that he's going there in person. Well I ended up calling the permit office and reached them easily. When I followed up on my permit they told me that there wasn't even a request for a permit. Metro lied to me and they never even submitted the permit paperwork. To make matters worse after I called the office (Adam wouldn't pick up or return my calls) to relay my message to Adam I never heard from them. I had to follow up again with an email. The office told me that their permit guy was out of town and that I can go get the permit myself for them to install the fence the next day. I requested a refund and the refund cleared in a few days. I was just shocked at the poor customer service. No apology, no follow up, they lied to me and I didn't want to take the risk of them installing my fence. Beware. I'm almost positive that if I had issues after my fence was built I would have been treated the same way so this is why I canceled. Not to mention look at all the snarky review replies. Someone needs to teach this company some customer service. read more
