I took my friend to the Lynnway store to get a phone and service. Joshua was the customer service who cared for us. My friend, is a professional, who's 20 year phone number somehow got 'lost' when he changed providers. Joshua was on his phone for a long time trying to have the number reclaimed, and assigned back to my friend. I took a long time and he had to speak to multiple people to accomplish. Josh was courteous, kind and understanding. We were patient waiting for him to finish all of the red tape. In just about one hour, we left with a brand new phone BUT Josh somehow got back the old original phone number. He was incredible, and it is not easy dealing with 'older' customers. New phone, case, glass cover, service and the old number back. He even took our picture on the new phone.....Classy guy, excellent service and a very happy customer! Thank you so much. read more

If I could subtract a star I would , there incompetence as to customer service makes the MBTA look good. Lack of knowledge thru there sales associates in person or on calls regarding plan info. I would say it is a METRO PCS thing I will be changing servers .... read more

I've been a customer for 18 yrs. I recently had my phone destroyed. I went to Metro PCS to get a new phone, they wouldn't help me until I purchased a new phone from $399-$689(cost of phone that was destroyed) I then tried to bring my own phone( $99) one I had purchased. Metro store Lynn, Ma on Lynnway would NOT help me. I then purchased a phone from Xfinity my home service. I could NOT get my account #noe a OTP# from Metro to keep my old(14yrs I had this #). I was shamed, treated horrible by the nasty Hispnic women who work at that location. I said please would you speak English so I understand what your discussing about me? I was then told that if I don't change my attitude then I will be thrown out. just to say, I'm a disabled 67 yr old woman who has taken over $136 in Uber rides owner 2 weeks trying to get basic account info to no avail. I have been intimidated several times at this location and I am afraid to visit this location again. I've tried two other locations in the city of Lynn and the store hours and the actual time they are open differ greatly. I'm not physically able or financially able to run around hoping to resolve my issue. I have waited a total of 14 + hours on hold over a 10-14 day period. I need this phone # it is connected with my life, all of my doctors, disabilit, bill paying accounts and my husband whom has Dementia..all of our business is done with this #. I am still on hold with Metro as we speak..it's been 40 min my 3rd ph call this morning. please GO SOMEWHERE ELSE IF YOUR RETIRED OR ELDERLY. THESE PEOLPE ACT AS IF THEY WILL HELP YOU BUT, INEVITABLY YOU WILL BE LEFT OUT IN THE COLD!! I'm literally losing sleep and I can't eat due to worrying about ALL of the calls I've missed due to this issue. I'm one person, I've begged pleaded for help but..it's about money NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE these days. Warning.. keep all of the paperw you get until the day you die! Went there with a phone I bought at Walmart. They charged me $20 to activate it. Went out to my vehicle and started playing with it, couldn't get online. Went back inside and they said it's not compatible. They kept my $20 to activate a phone that was not compatible. I bought a One Plus Nord 200 5G from them on the spot. I didn't have much choice. I was holding a phone that couldn't go online and needed one. They told me, "Make sure you want this one because there are no returns." I was in awe. Who in the US sells a product they don't actually stand behind? They told me I have to buy the charger also because the charging port is a special one that is exclusive to Metro and the charger isn't sold anywhere else. When I got home I found out the charging port was a standard C type charging port that I already have a dozen cables for. I spent the next 3 days learning how to use it. It was like no other phone I've ever owned because there is no (Back One Screen Button), and no (Apps Currently Open Button), which made it really hard to learn how to use, not to mention no instructions anywhere to be found. I finally got it all figured out after 3 days and I was happy with my purchase aside from the fact I got ripped off for the $20 activation for a useless phone and ripped off for an overpriced charger I don't need. I went back a few days later to buy insurance for the phone, they said sorry, you only had 24 hours to buy insurance. I said I have 30 days to buy insurance. They argued with me about it for 5 minutes before saying hold on, I need to check with my manager. She went into a back room for 5 minutes, came out, and without a single word started ringing me up for the insurance purchase. Not a single word, no apology for arguing with me telling me there is only a 24 hour window, just rude, rude, rude. Online it says $5 a month for insurance, she is charging me $6, screwed yet again. On day number 3 they sent me a forced system update I couldn't opt out of. It changed every last detail of the phone. Made it unrecognizable. Not only did I have to relearn how to use it, but they forced so many things on me that make the phone the biggest piece of crap I have ever owned in my life. If I ever have to make an emergency phone call to save my life and I only have a few seconds to do it, you might as well count me as dead. Before I can do anything, I have to get past 15 seconds of some ridiculously useless adaptive brightness screen that has nothing to do with anything, especially considering adaptive brightness is turned off. That's only one of 100 changes they made to my phone that make it unbearable. It has done nothing but lag ever since. Just getting the phone to wake up and the screen to unlock with the lag is a nightmare. I have never been more disappointed in a phone purchase in my life and I'm stuck with it. I've been a MetroPCS customer for nearly 30 years and I'm sad to say they screwed me so bad this time around that I just can't see staying with them much longer. This is terrible don't ever go here. I was standing in line for an hour without any assistance. No one even bothered to ask what I needed. This store is a waste of time and life. After standing there for that huge amount of time it was my turn. I walked up to the counter and displayed the phone I wanted to get. Now I'm not full of money or anything so I chose a phone that was reasonable in my price range. After standing there is line for so long I was quite relieved it was my turn. The lady who worked there took a look at the phone that was displayed and said "oh we don't have those in stock". If they weren't in stock then why was it on display? She offered me a different choice of phone that was close to 500$ but of course that wouldn't work... The point of this review is not to put down this one revolting store but every single one in the U.S. If u have ever experienced anything Iike this at a metro pcs store don't be afraid to speak up and stop these people from robbing us if our money and time. read more
