I went to the store for a warranty exchange around 6 PM, with the store closing at 8 PM. The…read morerepresentative told me they couldn't assist because the manager needed to "accept" the order--a process that would take about 30 minutes. They also said another 30 minutes would be required to set up the phone, but their cut-off time for starting such processes was 7:15 PM. This explanation felt frustrating and didn't make much sense. Lilly, the rep, suggested I return the next day at 10 AM. However, when I arrived, I discovered that Lilly is actually the manager. It became clear she lied about needing a manager simply because she didn't want to handle the issue yesterday. This experience highlights the importance of employing people with integrity, especially in a role that provides critical services like phones--a vital utility for daily life. A dismissive attitude has no place in an environment where customers rely on such essential services, and it's disappointing to see this level of disregard for customer needs.

I was impressed at how well the entire staff worked with each other and how they interacted with each customer who came into the store. They took the time to look for a good promotion to help me save money and when I got home and realized my photos had not transferred from my old phone, they did not hesitate to help me when I returned. They also found me a great rebate offer on AirPods! I was lucky to come in when they were not busy because I know from passing by they often they are flooded with customers. When I first came in they were enforcing their mask policy but when I left I noticed that there were some customers not wearing masks which was a bit disappointing. Also he talked me into buying a "c" recharger by suggesting my iPhone 7 charger was not compatible - something my recent research suggests was not entirely accurate. But overall I very much recommend this T-Mobile store!

The rep hesitated and looked at the line and consulted the manager. Without explaining to the next person on the line, or even apologizing for the wait, or even making eye contact the manager tells the rep to help the line skipper. I get it if I am going into an ethnic market might be different, but this is t-mobile and the employers are young. Anywhere you go it is the representative or cashiers job to teach ppl when they walk in and don't understand what a line is. And good customer service will acknowledge and apologize or explain in the moment if something comes up. What you don't do? You don't completely ignore your line waiters, help the cutter, and then expect them to like you when you turn to the next person on the line to ask if theirs is a "quick" issue. My simple issue didn't even require troubleshooting, sales, or billing but you didn't ask that before you decided to take the line cutter first. To make matters worse, when I complain you try to make excuses... including the cultural one???!!! This is Brooklyn in 2025 and you work for an international company. if you don't want me to accuse you of gender discrimination then you need to do better and learn how to communicate by either explaining exceptional circumstances or by making everyone follow the same rules and treating ppl the same.

The first step on our texting journey was going from a prehistoric Samsung to an iPhone, so we stopped into this T-Mobile location. Since her phone had no value, she wasn't eligible for any trade-in offers BUT she could get a brand new iPhone SE 2020 for $400. I really liked this option, as I thought the physical home button would be easiest for her. Big thank you to Mary-Ann who was very patient as I translated each step of the process to my neighbor and walked her through all of the charges - the phone itself, taxes, insurance, and a phone case. We were in there for about an hour so I really appreciate her taking her time with us.

DO NOT schedule any IPhone related repairs with this Best Buy's Geek Squad…read more I had initially scheduled an IPhone battery replacement through Apple's website for the afternoon, but was told to reschedule for the following day due to the person in charge of IPhone repairs not being in at the time. I was fine with this, and came back the next day for my now rescheduled appointment. The appointment ended up taking ~4 hours, which, although longer than what was stated on Apple's website regarding authorized repair spots, was still fine. Immediately after picking up my phone from them, I had noticed that my phone was strangely hot, but assumed I was just imagining things. After arriving home, my phone began to drastically overheat, turn off out of nowhere, and its camera and FaceID stopped working completely. The person in charge of IPhone repairs had either replaced my phone's battery with a faulty one, or had simply damaged the insides of my phone during repair. How do you manage this as someone who is paid to do IPhone repairs on the daily? I have since gotten a replacement phone through Apple's warranty and will likely never schedule a service with Best Buy's Geek Squad again. I truly feel as though I could have done a better (and faster) job myself by ordering an IFixit kit.
