Industrial, under construction, it is rather unpleasant to wait for a train here. They work all around while you wait. Noisy as well! If you live close by, then sure... otherwise, I prefer other stops in the Valley or use Union Station! No shade, it needs a lot of work to make it look like a train station!

Safety at RISK! Bus 5919 from Van Nuys to Bakersfield…read more This is the San Joaquin bus. The driver is extremely lax, lazy, has broken several laws..and doesn't keep eyes on road or both hands on wheel. She tailgates cars ..this is scary bc her lack of paying attention and the weight of this bus already decrease her reaction and stopping time. We almost got in an accident before Newhall. Apparently, she forgot her routes. The trip started with her getting over several lanes from HOV . Over double yellow lines (they broke soon after, and she could have safely got over and not missed exit She takes her eyes off the road several times to eat sunflower seeds, often drives with one hand !! And the really bad thing is she talks and texts while operating this actually heavier than normal bus This lady is way too lax, and if we crash or if she does, it's her fault

Balboa Station via the Metro G - Orange line is one I know well, just a beat prior to the Woodley…read morestation which used to connect with the LAX Flyaway. It's located near Balboa Park (behind it)... Across the street from a strip mall plaza of foodie as well as personal care service spots such as Stop In Donuts, Box Thai Street Food, Glamour Nails, Alpha & Omega Hair Studio, Taqueria Juanitos and Purple Haze to name several... And is also diagonal from Birmingham Community High School (high school of Sally Field and Lucy Arnaz to name a few). Balboa station can lead you to several businesses nearby on foot, bike, scooter, Metro LA city busses or car as they have their own parking lot at this station. Usually never too busy of a stop as Reseda Station or Van Nuys Station. Bus path walkways that connect pretty far down heading west or east. Load your tap card at one of the kiosk on either side and go + be prepared for next time.

Great station and I take the orange line all the time!

Close to easy peasy lemon squeezy…read more.. The Woodman Station for the Metro G - Orange Line is just a beat before LA Valley College & Valley College Station. Located just east/right of the closest main traffic light intersection at Oxnard St / Woodman Avenue... It has one of the more wider and clearer walk and protected divider bike paths along the Orange Line path. I've definitely gone on some nice night and get out of the house strolls (frequently in 2020 to 2022) here and have stopped off at a few spots close by or transferred over the years. Close to small shops, business, places to eat, convenience markets like 7-Eleven, Confetti Liquor and even the Chevron on the Northwest corner of the predominant intersection. You can reloaded and purchase an LA Metro Tap card on either side or direction of travel with easy access. Like some of the Metro Rail Stations you won't find parking, but will at the previous stops including Van Nuys and Sepulveda Stations and at the North Hollywood Station... Three stops after Woodman. You can also connect with the Van Nuys/ Studio City LADOT DASH and a few street metro busses like the 158 and 154.

The Valley College station is a pretty solid one... Huge long platforms and never any issues with…read morekiosk or tap podiums... As far as I can remember. I usually go on a 2 to 3 mile walk once a week or so along the bike path from Van Nuys Station and this is usually my destination point before turning around or feeling it in my legs and catching the Orange Line back to wear I started. I've worked up the street from here in the past (even earlier this year before switching to remote) and would often board or dock here off Burbank. Being the Valley College stop... A lot of people usually get on and/or get off here... It's a great stop for connecting with the DASH or other municipal buses nearby (though not many)... and as the third to last stop before NoHo Station it serves as a great source of public transportation for the area. It's pretty cool that both Pierce and Valley have Orange Line stops/locations... One of the only downsides is from Woodman to Laurel Canyon Stations there isn't any parking for people in the area... Possibly due to being more residential than other stops...

It seems I must follow Fred C. wherever he goes outrageously giving negative reviews to every major…read more(and minor) transportation hub. I regularly take this station every week to get to LA Valley College. It has never failed me, takes me here from the North Hollywood station within 8-12 minutes which compared to other bus routes is commendable. It's outdoor so of course, during the night, it will get chilly. But ladies, rest assured, I was here alone many nights and I was never once approached, never once harrassed, never once bothered. I just sat at my little seat and listened to my iPod or read a book. The bus runs really late here, and unfortunately when my class gets out I'm not in time for the often-run rush hour period. But waiting eight to ten minutes is fine when you time it right. There's an electronic board which tells you how close a bus is and how many minutes away it is. By no means, like anything else, is it perfect, but right by Sharky's, Glatt's Market, a couple of Thai and donut places, and a college - how close is that to perfection? Disregard any outrageously negative review you see that doesn't go into detail as to why it deserved less than three stars.
