Definitely recommend their chicken curry pie-- it's mild, so don't worry about it being too spicy. The prices aren't exorbitant, and the some of the brands are surprising -- we even found Slovenian chocolate! The market also has a liquor store and a post office and a liquor store where you can get their own brand of fresh Eagle Lake beer. Both jars were still sealed & the best before date was July 2025. But the product was clearly spoiled. When I went to use them I noticed the colour didn't seem right. The cashier was flat out rude. "With no receipt how do we know you bought it here?" It's YOUR STORE BRAND! She flippantly agreed 'yes it clearly looks spoiled but no receipt no refund.' I explained again I didn't want a refund just to exchange them for unspoiled ones. She was completely unapologetic. Nope nothing I can do. After I gave up & walked out & went to Walmart to shop instead it occurred to me she kept them & the store will simply send them back for a credit because they are spoiled. So they totally ripped me off. Not a huge amount. Less than $5 but the attitude was enough for me. Stores are cheating customers more & more.

This Foodland in Bancroft is a welcome addition to the Bancroft area and community. It has a small…read moresit in area with a coffee machine where you can sit and have a coffee or a bite to eat. This Foodland also includes a deli and bakery, and the vastness of the store is really great for a Foodland, which took over the building where Price Chopper use to be. It is open 24 hours a day and has hosted a drive in youth event in the summer. Next to No Frills, Foodland is the other grocery store in Bancroft. It is located beside the Canadian Tire.
