While I doubt anyone who works for CTA takes this type of Yelp reviews seriously, I simply would like to share my experience and provide useful information for those who take public transportation to/from work and for leisure on a daily basis. If you aren't a frequent passenger or have any concerns regarding the use of CTA trains and buses, I hope I can be as helpful as I can. Chicago Cubs opening day this was on Monday, April 11th. this year. The actual address of Wrigley Field is "1060 W. Addison, Chicago, IL 60613." Oh hey, I see the name of the road "Addison." Doesn't the CTA bus #152 pass through the ballpark? You better believe it. The best stop to get off if you're heading to the field is on the corner of Clark and Addison. Whoever designed the CTA bus system was a genius in my opinion. To know how to ride a bus like a pro., you gotta understand what roads run north/south and what roads run east/west. There are a few roads run diagonally, but there isn't much exception to the rule. #152 Addison bus is a east-west bound one. From the east the bus begins at the breathtaking Lakeshore Drive and ends at the terminal stop near Cumberland in the Dunning/O'Hare neighborhoods. Some bus services will end at Harlem Ave. as the west-side terminal. Download a free CTA app. or follow the instruction on each bus stop because that teaches you how to text and you will find out when the bus arrives. My experience with #152 Addy is fine for the most part. However, it's less reliable in comparison to other routes I normally take to go to work. There are many random constructions going on, especially on the west side after passing Avondale/Irving Park/Portage Park/Dunning neighborhoods. #152 offers more services during AM and PM rush hours, but off-peak times are mostly patronized by our lovely senior citizens who run errands. There are three (3) major El train stops if you get to complete the entire of #152 Awesome Addy bus ride: Addison Red, Brown, and Blue Line stops, which is in the order from east to west. Addison Red Line stop is in a very close proximity to Wrigley Field. Many fans use this to get to the ballpark so that they don't need to struggle with high-cost parking. Currently, as of 04/12/2016, there's Addison Blue Line station renovation project in progress, which results the station closure periodically. The station closure notification is always available for people who love to read. If you don't enjoy reading memos, ask someone who works for CTA. If you can't do either, plan on getting lost and perhaps cry for a little bit! No, I'm just kidding. Furthermore, crying doesn't solve any problem, yet having sufficient knowledge will. To represent my "Foodie on Foot" persona, I will recommend some of the cool places to eat or to shop near Addison. - Cafe Tola on Southport: a block from Addison - Paulina Meat Market on Lincoln: two (2) or three (3) blocks north from Addison. - Sugar Hills Bakery on Elston: three (3) or four (4) blocks east from Addison (in the same plaza with Jewel-Osco and Chase Bank) - Taqueria Feliz on Addison: in Portage Park, one (1) block east before approaching Central Ave. (cash-take out-only) As I've said before, Addy and I get along. However, she's not that punctual so being on-time isn't her best trait.

After the third or fourth pair of busses pass without stopping you understand why I pay for cabs- because unlike your lazy, broke, indebted, irresponsible @sses I NEED to stay employed. And you know what? I'm not voting for anymore bailouts for you. I'm calling my Senator and My Representative to say "Cut all you want!" This bus drives by the famous water tower so it feels a little like Europe. My daughter thinks its Rapunzel's tower, which is cute every time we pass it. As the bus approaches the lake it turns right on Fairbanks and left on Illinois as it makes it way to Navy Pier. Yes Toads Wild Ride and my European Adventure begins. There are two entrances upstairs on both sides of Montrose Ave. For amenities, it has a bike rack and a Pepsi machine. A bench or maybe two, and is rather narrow (though I find that often with CTA stations). There are up escalators only, no elevators. There are transfers to busses and Metra nearby. The only real complaint I have is regarding noise. With the highway on both sides, the loudness is unpleasant. With all this, Montrose gets the job done. It's by no means a 'destination' but is easy to navigate and not unpleasant (except for being in the middle of the Kennedy Expressway).

This is located in the Kennedy Expressway so it gets noisy with all the traffic. Has good things about it. It's close to the Mayfair Metra station. There's usually trains coming pretty often weekdays and even weekends.

I am writing specifically about the railroad crossing located at Oak Park and Shakespeare Avenue where this station is located. Seriously, the most horrifying and dangerous train tracks that I have ever had the misfortune of driving across. Three times now, completely unaware, while on the tracks without previous warning, I have nearly missed death. The bells and the gate did not come down until I was on the tracks! I have never ever experienced this at any other railroad crossing! To see the train barreling towards you, while on the tracks is seriously one of the scariest heart stopping moments I've ever had the misfortune of feeling. I literally feel as as if I am flying in the air with how hard the pedal hits the medal. The first time, I thought that it was just fate...3 times..you have to wonder what is up???

Metra also has a station you can get to from here. This has a reputation for being windy. Busy station compared to any. It serves the Blue Line. This is one of the final stops before the L gets to O'Hare, and so it's busy most of the time. It has numerous transportation options surrounding it. There's a Metra station, the UP Northwest Line, that's here so you can easily transfer between these. Also there's a parking lot for those in cars. The Kennedy goes along this station and it's fucking loud. Pulaski is another major street close by. There's no need to say a lot of people pass through here daily, so it's not good for those with social anxiety, or those who don't like smelling body odor. Good transportation options make this as good as it is. It also is close to many restaurants and shopping, so it gets points for location. This gets even better if you're able to hold your breath, and avoid the rancid stench.

I was initially nervous whether the driver would be able to find us in congested traffic with road blocks amongst a sea of people, but after receiving his call we found each other fairly quickly. My friends and I felt like rock stars as we piled in and pulled away while most everyone else were waiting around for their Uber...if they were able to find one. The SUV was very clean and our driver, Vitale (sp?) was professional and friendly. When there was a song that we liked, he would turn up the volume but if we wanted to talk to each other, he would turn it down without us asking. Very attentive! We reached our destination safely and he gave us a warm and courteous farewell. I was pleasantly surprised when Eugene followed up with me to ensure we enjoyed our experience which we absolutely did.
