When I heard from several close sources that this place was grand I was skeptical. From the moment I arrived I was pleasantly surprised! Easy to get there with easy access for seniors and handicapped. Excellent attention from the valets! I felt like in paradise. Beautiful architecture and ambiance. Beautiful garden and terraces. Great cocktails !!! Delicious appetizers. May I recommend the quesadilla appetizers with huitlacoche!!! The menu includes unique Mexican creations and favorite international dishes. I ordered tenderloin medalions in black pepper sauce. Others ordered Carne a la Tampiquena, Milanesa, and a Squid and Rice dish. I could not access the menu, unfortunately to find the name. It is my new favorite and will certainly recommend it highly.

The service was good. They were attentive, but also played a trick to get us to buy more by telling us that our main meal would take about 30, and would we want an appetizer? I didn't care for the trickery to get me to buy more, but if not, we wouldn't have ordered the plantatian gordita, which was a fried and breaded banana, very good.

This was my second time at House and I'm happy to report it gets better and better. The food came with a beautiful presentation, and the taste was very good. Our servers were attentive, fast and always friendly. If you're in Cuernavaca, instead of going to the typical places, go to House and be pampered. Ordered the steak tacos, and while they look boring, they are simply perfect. The chilaquiles my wife had were fantastic and the barbacoa tacos were consumed mightily. The drinks are well overpriced, with a bottle of water being $4.50 USD whereas the conchas were only $1.50. The drinks bring up the overall price of the meal, but it is worth it.

On our first visit, we shared the cecina -- it was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. On our second visit, we split the arrachera, which was just as tasty. To drink, we both had Caipirinhas -- expertly made and refreshing. The views from the terraza are incredible! You can sit at the front overlooking the Plaza de Armas, or choose a table on the side with a beautiful view of the cathedral. This restaurant is a must-try if you're visiting the city.
