The food, service, and atmosphere here are all first-rate. During our one-week stay in Cuernavaca, my wife and I came here twice. On our first visit, we shared the cecina -- it was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. On our second visit, we split the arrachera, which was just as tasty. To drink, we both had Caipirinhas -- expertly made and refreshing. The views from the terraza are incredible! You can sit at the front overlooking the Plaza de Armas, or choose a table on the side with a beautiful view of the cathedral. This restaurant is a must-try if you're visiting the city. read more

Gorgeous views especially at night. We were seated on the balcony on a warm Tuesday night. I ordered the pasta with Huitlacoche, and my partner had the gorditas. Absolutely delicious dishes (my first time trying Huitlacoche - and I loved it). The pasta was so tender, cooked to perfection. The sauce was light and complimented the vegetables and pasta so well. The service was good, but the atmosphere was even better. We'll absolutely be back!! If you haven't tried this place, you should!! read more

What a beautiful place! If you sit by a window or in the Terraza you will have the best view of downtown Cuernavaca and its Palacio de Cortes. The service is excellent. The dishes are uniquely delicious. We went there for a late breakfast. I had tacos de canasta/sudados and my son had an omellete made with Huitlacoche filled with spinach or mushrooms and cheese(?) on a bed of Flor de Calabaza puree. Eveything was delicious. Great coffee, tomato juice, bread (which they are preparing as you come in). One comes into the bakery and one or two floors up is the terrace, and restaurant. There is and elevator for those in need. I would go there everyday. read more

Really liked the food here and homemade tortillas. The margaritas were good and potent. I had the arachera steak plate, it was great! As others have commented the service is slow so I recommend preordering your next drink before finishing your first lol.. My only complaint is that our waiter was told we needed seperate checks, we were a party of four couples, he took seperate orders and when it was time to ask for bills, he brought one bill and stubbornly wouldn't correct his mistake or never really intended to make separate checks to begin with, I believe the latter was the correct assumption. read more

Very good food and amazing ambience, We came here and it was the first restaurant we went to. I wanted to treat my father in law to a nice meal while in Cuernavaca. The great thing was for about 200 USD we fed seven of us with appetizers, beer, and entrees. All the food was great and so was the presentation. As a white touristy group with some locals we were very well taken care of. I would recommend this place without hesitation. Nothing was too spicy though I'm sure if you asked they would have made it spicier. Probably won't come again as it is a one time destination type of place but it was amazing. My only complaint is that the head waiter wouldn't take my credit card early in the meal so I could pay for the whole thing. Plus he was a little snotty as if looking down his nose at the gringos. There were so many restaurants around the plaza, but the outside decor and the building itself called us into this one. When we got the menu I knew we had chose right bc there were so many options! And they all sounded good! We ordered the cecina Yecapixtla (beef) plate and the lengue de res a la Vizcaina (beed tongue) plate. Along with the cucumber lime flavored water. As we waited for our food the server brought a black bean tostada with a side of green salsa. As simple as it was it was so flavorful! Then they brought a small loaf of bread they make inhouse. It was made of fruits and nuts and tasted pretty good. I loved the cecina (beef)! It was juicy which shocked me bc most cecina is dry. It was accompanied by a flour tortilla covered in mole, guacamole, grilled onions and black beans. It was ALL soooo good! The lengue (beed tongue) plate was good as well. It was very flavorful, but the texture not so much for me. Nevertheless I would still recommend it bc it tasted good. The servers were great with allnoir questions and helping us pivk our plates. The restaurant itself very cute and clean. Def recommend this place! read more

Good and flavorful, large portions, noisy due to street repair and traffic. Had the steak with Chilaquiles it was a good choice.

I was super excited and had been looking forward to dining here; however, I must say that I was greatly disappointed by the restaurants customer service. I took my mom and aunt with me (who happened to be dressed modestly) and hate to say that I felt as though we may have been stereotyped. The service began with the captain and ended with a completely different server. It also appears they were shorthanded in the kitchen for we ordered appetizers and took a while after to get our entree. Despite the service, the food was delicious. Very pleasant surprise after a late start for dinner in Cuernavaca. We were nearly despairing of finding anything open for dinner at 10pm. Suspecting Casa Hidalgo would be an overpriced tourist trap, we'd avoided it during a stay in town, but wound up sitting here anyway when everything else proved to be closed or closing. Service is excellent and discreet, and the menu full of treats from Morelos. I opted for something Yucatecan instead, and got the cochinita pibil, which was outstanding. The other half of the table had a Morelos-style pork loin with guava a couple of different ways, which was even better. Views over the plaza are atmospheric at night. read more

The wife and I walked by this place as we were visiting Cuernavaca and decided to stop for breakfast. So glad we did! As soon as we walked toward a table, two waiters arrived to pull out my wife's chair and bring menus. I ordered a coffee which was delicious-something I haven't said often about the coffee in Mexico. They also brought a plate of four panque, along with butter and strawberry jam. I promptly ate two of these and was ready to settle in for breakfast. My wife ordered sopes, which consisted of four different sopes served on a rectangular board. I ordered a dish called Huevos Cazuela, consisting of a grilled tortilla with frijoles y chorizo, a crumbled queso, fried eggs, avacado and surrounded by a delicious salsa. A plate of four freshly baked rolls were brought with the meal. All were excellent! The view of the Cortez Palace right across the street just added to the authenticity! Try this place if you're in Cuernavaca and hungry. You won't be disappointed. read more
