Even though we were looking for Mediterranean/Persian food and this was Israeli food, the menu seemed decent.We waited for what seemed an eternity, but it couldn't have been a full 10 minutes. The person who seemed destined to be our waiter walked by to attend to other customers he was serving multiple times. He didn't even so much as acknowledged or greet us. In all the trips by us he didn't say hello, or offer water. After a few minutes we just got up and left. Now you have to take this in the context of how people welcome customers in Mexico City. The first words are almost always "Bienvenido." There are too many lovely restaurants and people in Mexico City to suffer any kind of "desprecio" for any reason. If a business only wants a certain kind of customer they should let people know so they won't waste their time going there...

The service is usually pretty good, which is Mexican means overwhelming at first then frustrating because the waiter disappears, forcing you to go on a scavenger hunt for the check. Aside from that, the pita bread is delicious, but that should never be screwed up, under any circumstances. As far as seating, there are more options outdoors than indoors. As for parking, valet in Polanquito or else park outside of Polanquito and walk.

I had only salad and took my kebab home and put it in the fridge as I was full, However, at 3 am they awoke violently ill. fever, chills, vomiting and you know.. the works Moctezumas revenge. I didn't eat my kebab until Saturday 8/26 at 5 pm I was not sick previously , I was fine, until I took three bites of the kebab gyro and went to sleep awakened 3 hours later violently ill. I am certain it was the meat that made us all so sick. I will need to speak with the manager there as its I believe dangerous. I would love to give them another chance but I am very hesitant to do so after a ruined weekend.

It has a playground area for the kiddos and it has sax background music making the experience romantic as well. This is the place for a nice Sunday brunch. It has a fruit salad bar and omelet station. For main course it has like 5 different dishes. It would be nice if they offer mimosas. After scrolling thru the review photos I thought for sure I would land on a burger. But I was pleasantly surprised to see they had hot dogs on the menu, which were cleverly disguised as Perras Maltesas. And being that I am not a vegetarian, I ordered the carnivore selection. Boy, was I glad I found the hot dog on that menu. It is presented in "pig in a blanket" style with two 1/4 pound beefy dogs in homemade roll with 2 kinds of gooey cheese and caramelized onions. And even though I am normally a chili dog kinda girl, I have to say every bite of this tasty combo tasted like a bite from home. And these guys aren't kidding around. The dog runs end to end and it's a hearty meal for one or perfect snack for two. The picture shows the dog after I cut it in half for sharing. The dog is grilled and the bun is toasty warm lending to yummy, gooey, cheesy melt. If you are jonseing for a good hot dog in Mexico City, this is your destination.

Even the Japanese know how to cook pasta. I think the chefs at Marco Polo should travel to Italy, dine on the pasta there, take a cooking lesson, and learn to bring the techniques from Italy back to Cuernavaca. The calamari plate was also disappointing -- the calamari needs to be crispier. These were rubbery. Also, the baked potato was bland. As for drinks: both mango margarita and mango mezcalita were tasty. Service was prompt and attentive. Until Marco Polo improves their "Italian" cooking skills, yourself the time, money, and appetite by dining elsewhere. They have a variety of Italian dishes, pasta and salads too. Their wine list is extensive. Their service is always spot-on. But what makes Marco Polo unique is it's location and the view of the cathedral, especially from one of the balcony tables. Highly recommended.
