My son and I are walking the Camino. The pictures of the steak looked so good, but I was kind of…read moreafraid to try it- because of the mixed reviews. IT WAS FABULOUS! Use the salt and seasoned olive oil bowl on the table to sprinkle over both sides of your steak as you cook it to the temp you like on the hot stone they bring you. The meal included a delicious fresh salad with tomatoes, onions, lettuce, and the most flavorful olive oil sprinkled over the salad- plus plenty of crispy, perfectly salted fries, a drink, and coffee or dessert. We upgraded from the 35 euro for 2 people to 40 euro because we were both starving and wanted more meat - 1 kilogram. We devoured that steak! We cooked it medium rare, but still needed to cook a couple of pieces a little longer, but our stone plate was no longer hot. The lady working the bar and waiting tables came right over and brought us a hot stone. She and the chef in the back were so friendly and helpful. Our total meal was 42 euro - probably because I added a big bottle of water to our drink orders of one coke and hot tea. I actually had two hot mint teas - called "infusion" because the tea was so flavorful.
It was a little more expensive, but we'll worth it! We would definitely stop here again- even though we were both to full to finish the fries!
