Another great thing about the market is it is a designated stop on the KC Streetcar, so getting to and from is a breeze, especially for those not familiar with the area. Also, it's fairly close to the river front, and is connected via paved pathway. Overall, great little market to spend some time wandering through, whether you have an agenda or just looking to experience a bit of local while in KC.

Found either roadside near Odessa, Missouri, or at the Kansas City Farmer's Market in downtown KC (3rd stall, the honey stall, look for the plaque), it is unfiltered (except for legs and stuff), gravity drained, unheated, wax in or wax out, sold in honey bears or gallon jugs, wildflower or non-wildflower. They also sell pollen but to that I cannot attest. The thing is, Liz and Bob Harrison, have been doing bee stuff for a long time. If you talk with them (they are friendly), you will soon find out that this bee thing is no happenchance, flash-in-the-pan operation. I've tried a lot of local honey, Coopers, Ambrose, and this stuff is the most raw you can get. Here are some prices at the farmers market, but they usually go up a little year after year. They are really good! I'm used to the ones in Louisburg south of Overland Park, but these are softer and more fluffy cake cider donuts covered in more cinnamon and sugar. They are worth the stop! It has grilled Wagyu steak, feta cheese, beef bacon, crispy onion straws, and blueberry-jalapeño bacon jam on a rosemary tortilla. I ordered mine without the onion straws. The steak was flavorful and tender and the blueberry-jalapeño bacon jam is addicting! I ordered a side of their coleslaw and it is one of the best coleslaw recipes I've ever eaten!!! The next night, I cooked the Chilean sea bass using an online recipe for both of us. Talk about treating oneself: the filets didn't taste frozen. They were buttery and rich!!! So good!!!
