He had me at Habanero and Jalapeño raw honey!…read more I cannot recommend enough this place! I've always wanted to buy raw honey, because I've heard of how delicious and healthy they are for you! Jalapeño Honey: very spicy! Sweet and spicy honey can go with anything! From drizzling it over baked salmon at the last minutes of cooking to putting it on top of biscuits! Habanero honey: definitely more for people that can't take the heat, but just want a tid bit to satisfy their spicy craving! I will also definitely come back to try out their essential oil soap's because they smell so good and some of them actually even have raw honey in them. The owner and his wife own a farm and I love love love love that all their products are 100% natural. Owner is super friendly and very knowledgeable about his products and OMG I forgot to mention they even sell farm fresh eggs! They own different types of chicken so they look like Easter eggs because each egg looks different with patterns and colors! We bought the jalapeño jam and habanero raw honey today but we will definitely come back to try out the other types of honey and soaps!

My 10-year old daughter bought herself the apple lotion bar, it has just the right amount of scent. I can't wait to try more of their products!

I am an avid buyer of Ambrose Bee Pharm honey. Why? Bee-cause. Hahaha. I only buy local honey…read morebecause my doctor told me it's the best for us allergy sufferers. I have hayfever really bad, so I figured it couldn't hurt. Now I live in Seattle and I keep threatening to switch to Washington honey but something in me just won't let me fly away from the hive. I love the way this stuff tastes. I know it's honey and it should taste the same, but not all honey is created equal. I don't know what kind of hoodoo they put on the bees to produce such great honey, but I can't take my tea without it. I would pick me up a bottle every few weeks from the organic farmers market in south KC and now I'm hoping to get some through the Internets.

They also don't use chemicals and stuff in their bee 'pharming', so this all gives their bees a better chance at the bee colony collapse thing, and makes their honey a little better for the bees and everyone. Anyhow, they sell the stuff at the Minor Park farmer's market, and on First friday's at Bad Seed in the east crossroads. Check em out! The competition for local KC honey is not too steep, so 5 stars until this place gets flooded with beeswax (city hall not included--ha!).

This honey is the real deal. What do I mean by real deal? Can bees play poker? Blackjack?…read more Maybe. But my point is that this stuff is good. Found either roadside near Odessa, Missouri, or at the Kansas City Farmer's Market in downtown KC (3rd stall, the honey stall, look for the plaque), it is unfiltered (except for legs and stuff), gravity drained, unheated, wax in or wax out, sold in honey bears or gallon jugs, wildflower or non-wildflower. They also sell pollen but to that I cannot attest. The thing is, Liz and Bob Harrison, have been doing bee stuff for a long time. If you talk with them (they are friendly), you will soon find out that this bee thing is no happenchance, flash-in-the-pan operation. I've tried a lot of local honey, Coopers, Ambrose, and this stuff is the most raw you can get. Here are some prices at the farmers market, but they usually go up a little year after year. They may even mail-order if you call or email them (busybeeacres@discoverynet.com) Prices as of 2008: 12 oz. bear $ 3.00 - 3.50 1 lb. $ 4.00 - 4.25 24oz. $ 5.00 - 5.50 2lb. $ 6.50 - 7.00 3lb. $ 9.00 - 9.50 gallon milk jug. $ 28.00

I had a few questions and Liz was very prompt and helpful in answering them for me via email. She also made sure to set aside the amount of wildflower honey that I was looking for. All in all, it was a great experience. Not to mention, their honey is raw (unfiltered and unpasteurized) and delicious! A few more details: They had both clover and wildflower honey. A 5# container of wildflower was $17.00.
