Had early dinner here on 3/7/2026. Ordered cheese enchiladas and the white queso. Both were delicious. Service was excellent with multiple staff stopping by our booth to ask if we needed (or wanted) anything. Prices were very reasonable. I'll be back if ever find myself in Sealy again. read more

The locals of Sealy has this one hidden! While visiting a friend he suggested this little gem, and so glad he did! Located in downtown Sealy - definitely worth a visit. Although the menu didn't have them listed, they served up an order of delicious street tacos! Perfect! And the charro beans were just the right of everything. Not sure if the salsa is homemade, but it too had a great flavor. Hint - if you want a Michelada - it's also off the menu. Wait staff was VERY friendly and extremely accommodating. Omg! Hands down THE best fajitas we've ever had in our life. Which is saying something being born and raised in the Southwest. Everything was spot on! Highly recommend the poblano fajitas. Wow, this place was amazing! Our server was very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. Salsa was slightly spicy and was served warm, which is how it should be served. Pork enchiladas were tasty, the pork was cooked tender and the green sauce went very well with it. Highly recommend and will definitely return when back in town! read more

I am going with 5 stars even though more attention could have been paid to the restrooms, but this place is awesome and well worth finding! I had their chicken enchiladas from the lunch menu. The sauce had the correct dried pepper spices and the chicken did NOT look like it came out of a can which is sadly all too common. The rice; the rice! OMG. The rice was delicious alone and I would hazard to guess that those re-fried beans were made with real lard! Both to die for and fattening as all get out! YUM! The staff members were very friendly, although I think I made the one young woman uncomfortable by my looking at her but hey, she was quite a beauty. Haha. Meal cost with tax was $10.81; plus I added a $10.00 tip for the mesero who spent extra time showing me his recommendations at my request. :-) PS: Their salsa I found to be a bit thin but I absolutely LOVED it as it did have a bit of a kick! OK... You would never find this place if it wasn't for Yelp. It's 100% a locals place well off the highway in "downtown" Sealy TX. Sealy was right on the way for us traveling back to Houston from San Antonio. We wanted to stop somewhere short of Houston to let the evening rush-hour traffic die down while we had dinner, and I found this place on Yelp. As always, my fellow Yelpsters steered me to a good place. The people were super friendly, the food came out quick and was very good. I had the combination fajitas with steak and chicken and my business partner had an enchilada platter. He said the enchiladas were very good and my fajitas were very good. I can give this place four thumbs up based on our visit and definitely recommend it. I always prefer to give my $$$ to local places vs chains and using Yelp allows me to do that and seldom be disappointed You won't be disappointed if you eat here read more

My wife and I had lunch today here at Mesquite Mexican, our first time there. Let me say the food was amazing and the portions were great, the margaritas were delicious the service was good considering every table was busy, but the staff were really friendly with the situation of being busy. One of those looks can deceiving type of place, mom & pop, hole in the wall places, but definitely well worth the stop. Always skeptical about places that have great reviews in towns, but this place did not disappoint. Big city flavor in a small town. If you near by do stop, literally believe it had some of the best charro beans i have ever tasted. Really good fajita meat and and the salsa for the chips had a very nice kick to it. Many coworkers recommended this place since we were in Sealy on work travel. While there there isn't much in this town, they have this restaurant that serves up mexican eats at a cheap cost. Sign me up! Lunch combo #5 is what I ordered which consists of a crispy beef taco, beef tostada, chili con queso puff, and a cheese enchilada. A lot of food for only $5.99 and quite delicious especially the taco with authentic mexican flavor in the beef. I left full and satisfied without hurting my wallet. If you're in Sealy, check the place out. With a friendly staff, homey interior, and good cheap eats, it's one of the better local Mexican eats I've visited. read more

We came on a weekday at about 3 pm. The service was prompt and courteous. They quickly brought a basket of thin crispy tortilla chips and warm medium red salsa. We ate all of the sauce & most of the chips. We ordered table-side guacamole and it was prepared perfectly to our liking. We had mixed beef and chicken fajitas with grilled onion that also included flour and corn tortillas, charro beans, mexican rice, and a side of guacamole. I think the chicken was better than the beef, but both were well prepared and tasty. Plenty to eat and we filled a to-go box with leftovers. read more

Returning to Pearland after 3 days of tuning rhe Guadalupe. Needed to satiate the enchilada desire so we pulled over at Mesquite Mexican Grill in Sealy. The place was incredibly packed for 2pm on a Sunday. However, we were immediately greeted by several servers and got our order quickly taken. Out kids like tacos but one is a crispy aficionado and the other is tacos al carbon. Server navigated their exclusions/additions well. My wife and I ordered enchiladas. Pickled jalapeños were awesome and the beef enchiladas were a Tex-Mex delight. Lots of gravy just the right amount of cheddar cheese abs packed with beef. Really enjoyed our meal and the servers was fantastic with our kids. A great place to eat that we will add to our stops when traveling I-10. read more

If you are passing through Sealy or live close & haven't stopped in, this place is great! Real, authentic food with excellent service! We were seated immediately & served chips with fresh made salsa that was still warm; so good! We were asked if we wanted guacamole or queso so ordered guacamole.She then asked if we wanted cilantro & jalapeño in our salsa. We had no idea she was going to bring the fresh ingredients to our table & hand mix it right in front of us. She ask asked if we wanted chunky or mushy; talk about service. Doesn't get fresher than that! My husband ordered beef fajitas with melted cheese & I ordered green chicken enchiladas. Both were amazing.I ordered mine with charro beans instead of refuted & our waiter gladly substituted those for me. Watching the staff there was refreshing as well. Everyone was hustling to clean tables, fill empty glasses & chip bowls & make sure the restaurant was clean. No one was idle & everyone was helping get everything done; teamwork at its finest...and everyone was friendly; hard to find that these days. It's so extraordinarily plain - there's nothing special except great prices, simple but complete recipes, exceptional service and in a plain vanilla wrapper. I Pass 100 better places to eat but they aren't Mesquite. Lunch is a persistent gift to my taste buds. It's not a large taste place. The owner is from Mexico City so all the flavors are more subtle and hidden... so ask for onions and jalapeños - you will love their hot and completely first class complimentary salsa and their chips but order table made guacamole as soon as you sit down. Some friends just didn't agree with my ranking but I believe it takes three visits to see the magic - and I made them walk 45 miles back to downtown Houston. Enjoy. read more
