(Mallorca. Palma airport vicinity). What a hidden gem!!!! The best Grill house we found on the island. Got hungry while waiting for a delayed flight to meet our visitor. Used Google to find a place for lunch near the airport. Was surprise to drive into what looked like commercial park with rental cars fields and airport warehouses. Then in the middle of literally nowhere, there is this old finca with a wood burning grill, fantastic selection of meats, daily menu and plenty of coveted outdoor sitting. We tried beef kebab that came as a huge portion with grilled veggies, a tasty baked potato and salad. We also tried a menu of the day. My choice was a mixed salad ( that came as a huge portion of great variety of Ingredients- a meal in its own), we shared it between the two and it was plenty for a good starter. The main course was fish on a plancha. Huge portion, two fishes, grilled to perfection, two side dishes. We hardly finished this meal when the desert arrived ( was part of the daily menu) - almond cake. The best we have had on the island ( and I try almond cake everywhere we went in Mallorca in the last three years) : not overwhelming sweet and moist inside. A bottle of mineral water was also part of the daily menu set. With one kebab portion, a beer, and one daily menu it came to Euro 25 for two, for very very tasty food. We were also offers a choice of a shot of a non alcoholic peach liquor and a green Apple liquor with alcohol as a post meal digestive and on the house. Service was friendly and efficient. I definitely recommend this place. Worth a special trip if you like grill but skip the breakfast on the day of the visit so you come very hungry read more
