This doesn't look like your average gas station from the outside-- or what it offers inside. There is plenty of parking and this spot really is pretty popular, with many folks local and not perusing. Bathroom were clean and the staff was friendly, but not super helpful. What I was most impressed by was the massive gift section. There were Hawkeye/Cyclone items, decor, wine and much more. Had I spent more time there, I am sure I would have walked out with a birthday present for my mother in-law or mom! Additionally, there is an Arbys (with a drive thru) and Godfathers housed here. Plus a robust amount of prepared food in the gas station itself. This is a gem!

The aisle was small and cramped and worse with a line waiting to check out. I did look around to see if there was a fire safety occupancy number posted. I did not see one. I did have a Pepper Jack'd spicy chicken sandwich that was good. First time I've seen it in the stores. While checking out, the cashier did thank me for my patience, so she recognized there is an issue.

On the gas island, you'll find Unleaded, Unleaded 88 ( Unl Oxy 88 at Iowa Kwik Star) and Diesel #2. Inside you'll find Karuba coffee, Kwikery baked items, soft drinks, milk, etc. all the standard convenience store junk foods. It's an older and smaller location. It's also a very busy one and it is starting to show wear and tear here and there. But that's not the issue here. The store had a plumbing problem in the rest rooms. Use your imagination. What's worse, the fixture was missing operational gear. The door should have been locked and the door signed, "Out of Order." It's an awful thing to report about one store in a personal favorite chain of several hundred locations.

Some are mirror images of one another, which I refer to as left hand stores and right hand stores, depending on which way you turn to approach the cash registers. This is a right hand store. When you go into the store, you'll get that feeling of Deja vu, which is exactly what the owners want you to feel. This store is newer so it uses the newer floor plan. It's left handed. Karuba Coffee, Dunkers, doughnuts, and hot foods are straight back. Rest rooms are on the far end, take a left at the cooler. Lottery forms are back there, too, for processing at the registers. The no-fee ATMs are to your left as you enter the store. Out on the gas island, you'll find Unleaded, Unleaded Premium, E-85, Unleaded 88, and Diesel #2. The store is 24/7. If you happen to drive an 18-wheeler, there is a separate truck fueling station. It's easy in and easy out with no silly roundabouts to come through. You'll find Diesel #2, Premium Diesel, and Diesel Exhaust Fluid. This is a nearly complete auto and truck plaza, there's no car wash but that's about all that's missing. It's a complete convenience store with sandwiches, coffee and soft drinks and almost anything you could need in the coolers, freezers and food gondolas. Like all Kwik Trips, the bakery all comes from La Crosse and it's pretty good. It's everything you've come to expect in a Kwik Trip and a whole lot more.

Naturally me being vegan I had to smile and say no thanks! But that's the kind of place this is.. They have deals, they give samples, you can buy bananas by the pound, you can can buy tons of cookies, you can buy milk in bags! Kwik Trip not to be confused with Quiktrip is pretty great! The service reps are nice, the gas pumps have towels, the bathrooms are clean and they have Clif Bars so even though I can't have a sample of that fresh hot pizza, I can get something to eat on my trip down the road after a Kwik stop here!
