Skyler Duffy, the owner is very easy to talk to when concerns arise with workmanship, keeping the work area clean, and when items may need to be worked on, sometimes at spare of the moment. When the Coronado Ct HOA Board had our annual meeting Skyler brought one of the "airplane wing" like vents to the meeting explaining how this new technology would benefit the life of our shingles, and he answered all our questions. SbarD Homes has worked around weather delays (hail storm, rain, high winds) and Insurance payment disbursement delays causing roofing dates to be moved around. No system is perfect and the HOA insurance checks to SbardD Homes were not released as scheduled not long after a hail storm hit the Valley. During this time Skyler paid for some supplies out of his own pocket upfront while waiting on reimbursement just to keep our roofing project moving forward. While roofing the second building one home owner had their swamp cooler go out on them and the SbarD Homes team helped move a donated swamp cooler into place to help them out at no extra charge. Another home owner purchased a new swamp cooler and SbarD Homes helped them get their new unit into place, again at no extra charge. Skyler and his team didn't have to help with these concerns they are roofers not swamp cooler repair guys, and because they did help anyway, their help felt like old school "southern hospitality" where neighbors are helping neighbors get through a rough patch, because its the right thing to do. When homeowner/tenant concerns were expressed Skyler met with the HOA Board members and concerns have been tackled in a timely, professional manor. SbarD Homes has shown great flexibility, dependability, and "above the call of duty" workmanship during our roofing project (that is ongoing at this time) I do highly recommend SbarD Homes. After many promised installation dates and broken promises, we had had enough and cancelled our contract in May 2023. They will not refund our deposit of over $6,000. Fact is, they quit communicating with us months prior to the cancellation. We finally got a judgment against them for the amount of our deposit. Collecting our money is unlikely because the company is in trouble. But I will continue to do everything I can to see that no one else gets cheated out of their hard-earned money like we did.
