We understand prices at all retailers, thrifts, etc have increased. But when the majority of almost all the clothing is priced higher than purchasing brand new at a retailer, there's something majorly wrong. We commenting to employees, the majority stated "oh, we all know". The only thing they are able to do is give you the phone number to talk with corporate and leave bad reviews. So we're starting here. If you're looking for lower cost clothing for anyone, please steer clear of these stores. They are priced at corporate, then sent to the stores where they have no power over pricing. Stick to smaller thrifts who are non-profit. You will even find high prices at Goodwill & Savers, but the SA thrift is even higher than those mentioned.

Unfortunately, I encountered a horrible employee at drop off who spoke to me in annoyed one-word sentences. I arrived with a reusable bin full of clothes, and he says, "In the truck." "Do you have a box?" "Nope." "So can I put the clothes straight in the truck?" "Nope." "Do you have a bag?" "Nope." Finally I pressed him, and he said, "You need a box or bag, but I ain't got one." So I returned to my car, with the clothes, and drove off. Went to Goodwill, where I was greeted immediately and cordially. My dropoff took one minute. Didn't need a box; just dropped the clothes straight into one of their carts. That's how it should be done.

I happened upon this shop on accident and I am so glad that I did! The staff are very friendly and…read morehelpful. The shop has a welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home. I would say that this store is broken down into 2 main areas. The first is what you might expect from a typical thrift/community resale shop. It has clothes, shoes, picture frames, lamps, books, kitchen items, etc. I like that I can pick up smaller home items here that other big chain thrift stores might not have. For example, I was able to get things for my desk like a stapler, clips, folders, notebooks, and pens. I've also bought lamps here. I like that they test their electronics before they put them out for sale. The second area is their furniture warehouse. Now this place is HUGE in the best way! It is very organized. There are 2 floors full of furniture. A staff member will accompany you. Both guys who have helped me find furniture have been very knowledgeable about their inventory and can take you exactly where you need to go to find the type of furniture you need. We bought a beautiful solid wood dresser for $60. To get it home, the shop referred us to a non-affiliated delivery service that often helps their customers. Ask about Fred! He and his team did a great job getting our new dresser to our home.

They keep most of their furniture outside because the store is rather small. So at any time of day, you can drive by really slow and see what they have sitting outside. I usually see a few couches, tables, chairs, bed frames... and since I'm always looking for wooden furniture to refinish- it's a gold mine! As for the clothing selection, it seems like an average thrift store type of selection. And the parking lot can be rather challenging. It's small, gravel, and on Saturdays can get tricky to park in it. But as I said - gold mine for fresh selections of furniture every few days and fun knick knacks. Plus the proceeds go to support Camp Wartburg (an awesome Christian Camp for kiddos). I love bringing my donations here too.

Today was the store grand opening with full stock and dedicated store operating hours. I had…read morevisited two times before; and both times it was closed (on a Saturday and at 5pm weeknight). Store is clean; well stocked; overhead signage identifies each area, so it's easy to find what you're hunting for. I saw a couple of patrons with carts full of items. Since it was the grand opening, everything was discounted. I thought pricing was kinda all over the place. A used wooden kitchen chair for $19.99; knick knacks and glassware for $1.00 and up. I was greeted by a couple of workers with hello's as I looked through the store. I didn't look at clothing; not sure of that selection or pricing. Big area of purses and bags. Not a big shoe selection (IMO). I left without purchasing anything on this first IN-store visit. Even though this was technically my third visit.

Going and supporting the Salvation Army really feels good. You're able to find awesome pieces that may not have worked for someone else, but are exactly what you're looking for! I think that this particular thrift store has a very nice selection. I was trying to find books that were yellow to decorate a built in bookcase. Going to Barnes and Noble or another bookseller to purchase brand new books would have really broke the bank! We were able to find four yellow books and paid a fraction of what new books would have cost us!

The pudgy red head manager approached me last week while I was in the store and told me to hand my…read morebag over to the cashier. Why I would trust a cashier with my phone, car keys, wallet, meds, makeup bag, brush, and the medical tank I carry when he can't trust me with my bag? So when I told him no, that I wouldn't be handing over my bag, he became angry and said the cashier would be looking inside as I checked out. Fine. Whatever. He then loudly told me that the last time I was in the store he had observed me stuffing my bag and escorted me out to my car and told me never to return. That never happened. When I told him 'that never happened' I could see he realized his mistake but he didn't apologize. No, he was too angry, belligerent, and self-righteous. Which made him more angry. He shouted at me he was calling the police. Fine, call them. I think the look of complete bafflement on my face and my lack of being intimidated by him truly unsettled him. He was to the point of sputtering. Men don't like it when women don't heel. I left. I thought about waiting for the cops to arrive but suspected his call was fake. I also thought about suing S.A. Had he detained me I would have sued. And, he's REALLY fortunate that there wasn't anyone in the store that I knew. Embarrassment is liable. Had he really 'escorted me to my car' I would have sued. He's a nut that doesn't belong in management. He followed me out to the parking lot and shouted at me he had taken photos of me and my car plate. The entire time I was telling him he was wrong but he wouldn't listen. He only wanted to dominate. S.A. has made the historic mistake of promoting men from their rehab program into store management positions. I come from a professional corporate management background. All of our training was at the results of lawsuits: How to be public facing, how to manage without causing emotional distress (like shouting at me in the store and on the parking lot) how to equitably manage staff and treat all visitors. A manager's conduct must never go beyond all possible bounds of decency. A manager knows how to lead and by example of their behavior. Good riddance S.A. and best wishes for a management overhaul. Try promoting some WOMEN and cease your sexist organizational approach. I do acknowledge your work within the community: I used to work with women/children in crisis in the 80s and S.A. always offered shelter even at capacity. I have always work/volunteered with those in need. I was shopping in this store heavily in 2026 buying items and clothing for the tornado victims, taking it all home and washing it before driving it to north city. Not only clothing but candles for those who had lost power. It was a great resource for me and continued to be until recently. The store was convenient since it as close to my weekly doc appts at BJC but I will SHOP elsewhere.
