We hired this company to clean the house after our girls graduated and moved out. We came back for a walk thru and found the kitchen floors and baseboards dirty, fridge was not wiped clean and stair carpets did not appear to be vacuumed and window sills were not wiped down. We spent two hours cleaning after them and could not finish it all. After complaining, we only got a fraction of $500 back and we are now expecting to be dinged by the land lord. Scheduled them to do house cleaning and left a list broken down for each room with everything I wanted done. Very , very disappointed. Stair banisters not touched, doors not cleaned, several areas not dusted, kitchen cabinet fronts and several other items not done. I sent message to them and they did offer to send someone out the next day to go over items missed, but I had family coming in and didn't want them there cleaning. Besides, I already went over and cleaned the items they missed that evening. Paid for almost 3 hours of work and over $300! Will not use them ever again and wouldn't recommend. read more

They kept my credit card on file without my permission and charged it without my permission. Now instead of having the ease of a clean house, my house is still not clean and I get to spend my day messing with the bank issues and updating all of my auto pays since I have to cancel my card. Merry maids I don't even know where to start. You guys did one of the worst cleaning jobs known to man kind. You guys attempted to clean my house but all you did was clean a couple counter tops. One of my roommates in the house has videos of you guys just standing there doing nothing. I thought your job was to clean. When I came back after you guys left the house, it looked almost the same as when I left before you guys came. That is just unacceptable. I would never recommend you guys to anyone. I hired Merry Maids a few months ago after I became disabled. We have a large house with multi levels and it is difficult to clean. Hope does a fantastic job and I have been very pleased by her work and extra touches. I would highly recommend them. read more

If you don't mind being overcharged. $70 per person-per hour for lite cleanings, than they do an ok job. Don't recommend them at all!

I live with four other guys and our house was in need of a cleaning. We keep it relatively clean, but the bathroom began to take a toll through the year. We were able to schedule a cleaning the next day. Two maids came by and did a splendid job. They left a friendly note at the end, which showed me that they cared. The ladies in our lives appreciate a clean house. My roommates were impressed with the service. We will use Merry Maids again. read more

I would not recommend them at all if you are looking for any type of cleaning done for your house or apartment. The windows, window frames, stove, fridge, and fans were poorly cleaned. Both of the ladies were rushing through the whole process. I had to remind the to go back and clean certain spots in the apartment (windows and window frames for example). I don't think they even used any special hardwood cleaner on our bamboo floors. If we knew what the end result was going to turn out like.. We would've just cleaned the apartment ourselves. We paid over $220 for 2.5 hours for a "deep clean" of our apartment. Our landlords were disappointed as well and pointed out the issues. Completely disappointed and would not recommend them. Yesterday I paid $90 for an hour: 2 women cleaned 2 bathrooms and the top of a stove. They were clean, but that's INSANE pricing. I paid less for cleaners in New York City and London. My husband booked, and if I had known the pricing, I never would have agreed to it. Owner is a real genius, too: when I told her I was writing about my honest personal experience, she said she'd be contacting her legal team for slander. I have been using Merry Maids for two months. I am very satisfied. They come in, do the job as expected, and leave. Very friendly and very competent. I looked at the other services in this area before I started and I am convinced that I made the correct decision. The cleaning crew came to my empty house to clean prior to us giving possession to the new owners. They left the house dirtier than when they arrived and also left the property unsecured - window wide open and the front door unbolted. They blamed their poor cleaning service on me, the customer, for capping their time at 2 hours, which was never the case. I expressed my desire, no matter the time, to have the house clean for the new owners. I was quoted 2-2.5 hours for the service and that time was confirmed with the cleaning crew on site...all parties thought that that was more than adequate time to complete the job. I did not receive a follow up call upon completion to indicate how much time had been spent and what the bill would be. At no time, did they call and indicate that the time was inadequate and they would need more time to leave a product that would be satisfactory. When I arrived at the property that evening I was astonished to find physical debris on the hard surface floors, carpet and counter-tops - all were relatively clean prior to their arrival. Windows had hand prints and smudges and the 'mopped' floors had footprints all over them. Their customer service and follow up was nothing short of a wrought response and they clearly lack any interest in retaining business and providing meaningful follow up. They ended up refunding a half hour of service which did not begin to cover the time and effort that me, my wife and daughter put in that Friday night to clean their mess and make the house presentable for the new owners. They did clean the refrigerator and one shower to my satisfaction but that hardly is notable considering the condition that they left the rest of the house. If I were a service provider I would make sure that the property was left in better condition than when I arrived, and at the very least I would inform the customer they didn't have adequate time to provide a good product...neither was done. I paid over $150 to have a shower and refrigerator cleaned and to have the rest of the house left in disarray. I would recommend that you review other local cleaning services before giving your money to this company. I will not be using their services again. read more
