I am "biased" in that my own take on the investment challenge has also been contrarian for most of the time I have been an investor. However I agree with Mr. Kaplan that returns to such a strategy can be generous precisely because it is so very hard emotionally for almost all investors to actually implement such a program consistently. Not at all universally true for investment and financial writing generally, the newsletter is very imaginatively and skillfully written and edited.
